DIGITAL SLR 101 3.0

Unless there is only one item in your viewfinder, which is almost impossible, there is an infinite number of distances between you and the elements.

What a distance to the perfect point, and according to the depth of field, a range of distances will be the acceptable point.

Variation in focal length will not change the distance that it compresses the distance between objects.

Maybe it's my imagination, but I often feel a tugging on my leg, when I read some of these messages.

    You are a pixel-peeper?

If this isn't the case, I doubt that you can see the difference. I guess that's what you're talking about since you did mention the MP of each. The MP of a camera is not the single assessment point as the 40 d is a fine camera better than a rebel.

The 40 d leans more towards the pro series cameras and the Rebel T3 is more towards the amateur line. IMHO, as always.

I have redownloaded my CS5 Photoshop and Camera Raw will not accept my RAW files or Adobe Bridge displays the display of the image of these files. A message appears saying: it does not support this camera.  I have a Nikon 5100 digital SLR.  He has always displayed them in the past.  How do I get to view these photos in Bridge, then open them in RAW?

Your Nikon 5100 requires a minimum of 6.4 ACR.

The ACR, which is installed with CS5 default is 6.0.

You must update your ACR to the latest version available for CS5 - ACR 6.7

  • Lightroom 5: addition of new digital SLR profile?

I am a happy user of LR 5, however, updated my DSLR digital EOS 5 d r LR 5 does not recognize raw files. I still hesitate to switch to Lightroom CC. Can anyone help? THX

Support has been added in Lightroom CC 2015.6 / LR 6. There will be no further updates of LR 5.

    There are 2 choices

    a. buy the upgrade to LR 6 or the CC version.

    b. download the latest application Adobe DNG Converter from Adobe (free) and use the converter to convert raw files to DNG.

LR will then be able to work with DNG files.

  • suggestions for the purchase of new digital SLR.

I am interested in taking photagraphs of close zoom of flowers as well as the zoom away from mountain landscapes, natural landscapes. And also I want to know the technical details and usage before you buy. Please, help me to get the right with appropriate accessories.

    Hello

What is your budget?  You can get a Canon Rebel camera body series for between $600 and $800 in the United States.  It would be like T3i, T4i, etc...  Then you need lenses.

    Flowers and insects:

If you are serious about the close-up flowers and insects, you can get a macro lens for it.  Canon made a 50mm ($250.00) and a Macro 60 mm ($400.00) goal that is not terribly expensive.  You can also spend a lot of money and get one with objective Canon image stabilizer 100mm macro ($900.00) or even a 180mm macro ($ 1 400.00).  Shorter than 50 and 60 mm length lenses require you to be very close to the subject to fill the frame upwards, as in 3 or 6 inches in front of the lens, which is manageable for subjects like flowers who can't easily.  Longer lenses (100mm and 180mm) will allow you to stay at a greater distance, then you scare away the bugs.

If you want to save money and dip your toes in the hobby to try it first, you could buy extension tubes to put on a regular and lens would not be much additional cost (beyond the lens itself).

    Landscape, mountain landscape:

I couldn't tell what you are looking for here.  A lot of people wouldn't want to "zoom in" to get a view like that; Instead, they would receive a wide-angle so that they could take in the entire display.  You can, of course, do the opposite and buy a telephoto for 'zoom' and capture just a piece of the landscape at a distance.  Whether you are looking for?

I AM NEW TO THE DSLR WORD BUT AM WANTING TO BUY A HIGH MID RANGE DSLR FIR USE DURING MY HUNTING TRIPS AND FISHING WHICH SOMETIMES CAN BE COLD, COLD, RAINY OR ALL OF THE ABOVE.  CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A CANON MODEL TO DO THE TRICK?

Yes, no doubt, based on what you say, that you need.  7 D MK.2.

Consider going body only instead of buy a package with a kit lens, if you can afford to get a good lens 'L', as most of them is weather resistant, and it is wise to keep the entire installation weather-resistant.

  • How can I remove grain and noise of my "rushes". video was filmed during the night with poor lighting and a digital SLR

    grain and noise reductiom

    As already suggested, video Neat.

    https://www.neatvideo.com/

Embarrassing bad web site, very good product.

Don't forget that in addition to the expense of the plug-in, noise reduction is a very intensive rendering process - and so you have the payroll to the supplementary budget to make files.

Do a test on excerpts and see if it works well enough for you.

If so, edit without making the noise reduction and, once you have the material cut down to just the sections that need a treatment, do your the noise reduction on all this material.

  • Synchronization of a live video with audio digital SLR and a separate audio track

Hi, I have a problem with live video that I try to sync with a separate audio track. I have several clips that I want to include in the video, so I don't want to sync the audio frame video and separate framework, but I want to know the best possible way, please, I can sync the audio separated? So far I used markers of the waveforms to find the synchronization point, but so far it is not synchronization.

    I hope someone can help?

    Thank you

    Joe.

Adjust the audio clip left or right of the track until it syncs to the top.  In the context menu for the sequence, you can display Audio Units, if you need less than a precision of image.

I have no DAQmx I can't be sure.  I think that the 6251 has a maximum rate of 1 MHz in order to try to set the rate to 20 MHz should generate an error.  For the purposes of test on the rate 1 Hz bit or less.  Then you should be able to see the LEDs as turning on and off.

You may also need to set the number of samples to the size of the array.  Referring to the size of the array fed to Scripture DAQmx, not the table on the front panel.  With the number of samples set to 1, I would expect that he wrote that the first element of the array that is equal to zero.  That does not produce a very interesting performance: he lets just all lights off the coast!

  • SLR/DSLR EOS lens compatibility

I have several goals that were used with model Canon EOS 750 photo 35mm film SLRs. These lenses will work with all current Canon EOS DSLR models (or models of digital SLR cameras is no longer produced, but I might be able to buy used)?

    Thank you.

Since your previous camera was a 35mm film camera he used lenses that produce a large enough 'circle image' inside the housing of the device.   The image had to be large enough to completely cover the image of 35mm film.

On a digital camera, a 'full frame' sensor body (for example a 6 d, 5 d or more bodies 1 d) have sensors that are the size of a 35 mm negative film image.

The lenses that project this image circle large suitable for use on any camera EOS 35mm or camera ' film' 'digital' full frame EOS are called "EF" series lenses (they are always "EOS" lenses... but they have a prefix of model... as 'EF 50 mm f/1.4 USM' - notice the "EF" in front of the name.)

Canon EOS series "EF" lenses can be used on ANY Canon "EOS" body - that it's a movie or a digital body and the functions will not work.  for example if it's an autofocus lens so the autofocus will not work.  The camera will be able to control the aperture settings, etc.  You can consider these "EF" lenses as being universal in all EOS bodies.

But there is another sensor size which is extremely frequent.

All cameras series 'Rebel', as well as all the cameras of intermediate level (20 d, 30 d, 40 d, 50 d, 60 d and 70 d) as well as the 7 d, all use of "APS - C" sized sensors.  This sensor is about the size of a single image of "Advanced Photo System" - Classic film of size, which is a little smaller than 35mm film.   The sensor is smaller, they have the ability to use a lens that projects a small image circle.

These cameras can use lenses that project a small circle of image because they have a smaller sensor size.  Cannon made a series of lenses for these smaller sensors.  Here's the "EF-S" series lenses  You will know that their name becauase a "EF-S" prefix as "EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 STM" (note the "EF-S" prefix in front of the name).  These lenses are able to take advantage of the cost savings, because lentils do not need to project a large image circle.

While all the organs of "Rebel" and all intermediate level (except the 10 d) agencies may "EF-s lenses", they can ALSO use "EF" lenses (don't forget... "EF" lenses are universal to all Canon EOS bodies).    The 10 d is the only exception, but it is a very old camera and has not been in production for years.
