DIP-SWITCH graphics

Did someone at never do a graphic Dipswitch in a LabView environment where you can toggle switches with a mouseclick (= Control)? Or as an indicator.

Something like this (2colors would be nice):

I was looking for an ActiveX control, but was not very successful, and I don't want to reinvent the wheel...

No link or detached VI will be appreciated! (Kudo)

Hi Xilinx,

never checked the classical Boolean control palette?

A classic switch like this might work:

You know that you can color the existing controls, and you can even customize them?

How to read the State of the DIP switches on a FPGA cRio chassis?

I work with a cRIO 9022... My idea is to put the system in "service" mode with USER1 switch to IT and communicate with the FPGA via the FPGA - GUI (VI) on the host computer instead via the RT module that is used in normal conditions.

Any ideas? Unfortunately, I don't have an unused channel on the left... .and (as I know) cannot use the interface RS232 of FPGA.

    Many thanks in advance,

Hi, this is the correct information. You cannot read the FPGA of DIP-switch status. The only thing you could do is to use the function of Reading Switch.vi located under the range of functions-> real-> utilities RT time

It's how you probably know side host RT and not the FPGA.

  • Satellite L50 - B - 1 K 7 - switch graphics Intel because AMD

    Hello world

    I have Toshiba Satellite L50 - B - 1 K 7 (PSKTCE) model laptop.

When he has to switch from the Intel AMD graphic it turns off just without any warning. I installed the latest drivers for two graphics cards and also checked in the Device Manager for the latest versions of the drivers but the problem remains. Sometimes, for example when I turn on the Solidworks, even if it is listed in catalyst control center for high performance and must use AMD instead of Intel graphics, laptop computer still uses Intel.

When I load something in Solidworks which has need of more graphic resources (rendering...) SolidWorks crushes down with the message that AMD driver has encountered a problem, but it is resolved (on the way this laptop back on Intel graphics).

I use Win7 64 bit and switchable graphics system does not work. I have this laptop for less than a month and tried everything.

Does anyone have similar problem, or some tips how to solve?

    Thanks in advance!

    > I installed the latest drivers for two graphics cards
According to the specifications specifications page, this unit has been sold without preinstalled system.
Therefore, it seems that you have installed the Win 7 64 bit in your own hand.

Where did you download the drivers (Intel and ATI) graphics card?
Have you used the drivers available on the page of the Toshiba UE driver?

To switch to the external GPU you must right click on the desktop.
In Catalyst Control Center Power, click on select Maximum Performance when it is plugged

Then in global settings of Switchable Graphics also choose maximize Performance

Then click on the switchable graphics Application settings
Now, you would be able to add an application (game, etc) that could use this graphics card settings

Now, just point to the exe file and add to the list of applications.
After that, you will see the exe file in the list. Click the graphics settings and set it to high performance.

Notice to readers, this problem has been resolved, and results/methods have been posted below.

My old laptop was able to run Folding@Home with 'customer-type' set to 'beta '. He folded the work units and made me some pretty * beep * good PPD. In other words, until he died.

I tried the Beta Setup folding on the new computer laptop, for each unit of work to be rejected. Followed through similar situations of others did for them to have manufacturer or active Windows graphics drivers. Currently, I have the latest active HP drivers.

Try to install the reference drivers for results site Web AMD in the CCC being installed, but none of the graphics drivers.

After seeing a few posts from people in a similar boat, I found the solution for them was to upgrade the BIOS, which enabled them to change a setting, forcing the cell to rely on the BIOS to change the graphics. This enabled the Intel and AMD drivers be installed separately, therefore, they could have the reference, installed drivers I need installed.

Updated my BIOS did not work. There is virtually no change (except a few seconds shaved my boot time). I can not turn off Dynamic Graphics Switching.

Is there another solution? I'm a bit desperate. I also find problems with the performance of the game, either connected or not. Just a few games do not run on graphics drivers I. Update to the latest could solve these problems for me.

    PLEASE ANSWER...

I went THROUGH THAT OPTION PROPERTIES BUT IT SAYS that this DEVICE DRIVER does not SUPPORT THIS VERSION OF WINDOWS

    Hello

The fact that the Intel chip is showing that the display device (and cannot be changed) is correct

The switchable graphics on your system type (Nvidia Optimus), means that the gpu from Intel is always used to render the final display, regardless of whether or not the discrete Nvidia chip is used for the treatment of the graphics.

For more information on the functioning of this type of "Switchable" graphics technology, see the white paper at the following link.

  • T400 - switching graphics and many wonder

I just got T400 for my school work. I understand there is also a feature to switch between integrated and discrete GPUS.

I have a few question now...

In Device Manager are we suppose to see two installed GPU, or just one active?

What are the conditions for Manager power switch between two GPUS?

How can we explicitly make the switch without according to conditions set by the power manager? I have read the help file, I had no option to the power gauge to move the graphics.

It is also remarkable, although there is a manual for this laptop, it's not detailed enough some of the function which is pretty new to me. for example, it took me a while before I know how to configure the fingerprint for log reader. The use of the scanner is not covered in the manual.

And I can't use the function under thinkvantage to get expert help. There continue to be "Internet Explorer cannot display the page" firefox/opera/safari not so.

    I thought about it.

My school uninstalled, the function by accident.

For those who cannot always make the switch, just look at the taskbar, there should be a gauge of plug or power. Left up until it clicks, it will give you a menu with "Switchable Graphics", do your stunts there

The function is not found anywhere in power management. It's a little weird, like the help file on the hood of management this function. The team of documation fails!

Hello, I believe that the answer lies in another thread that they keep as a «sticky' at the top of this section "Display/video"

so here's the link to that thread, that you shows how to download the right driver BIOS and graphics, then how you set it manually in the BIOS for fixed, if that's what you want.

  • Laptop will not switch to the AMD Radeon graphics card

Hello.  I just bought a Dell Latitude 3540 on 10/01/13 (yesterday) and everything but the graphics go a lot.  Whenever I check the graphics that are used, it says "Intel HD Graphics 4400" instead of 'AMD Radeon HD 8850 M' as it should be.  I installed the Catalyst driver and software and plugged in, but also put everything for maximum performance in the config of switch graphics.  I EVEN USED PC RESET.  NOTHING WORKS.  Help, please.

    Hello

What is the version of the Catalyst driver and software you use?

The option to switch between graphics depends on the version of the installed Catalyst driver. I suggest you follow the article given below for further assistance.

    Welcome to the forum.

Many users have problems with Intel graphics chips integrated. Most of these problems is due to support poor driver for Intel chips.

If I had to rely on a built-in chip, the first thing I would look at would be to update the drivers, if updates are available.

I'm a big user of separate video cards and have achieved excellent results with ATI or nVidia. I have more of these, but with the ATI unit works well also. Choosing a card can hinge in the types of locations you have available, PCI, PCIe, or others.

Also, remember that you will probably have to either disconnect a chip embedded, embedded with a DIP switch, a rider, or via a software, so the MoBo and BIOS can see and use the card. It is usually just a little more work, to plug the map loading the drivers, and the connections between the audits, but not much. You want to have the diagram for the handy MoBo - either in print, or in the downloaded manual Manual (usually in PDF form) the MoBo mfgr. Web site.

    Good luck

  • Configuration of CMS SCSI External Hard Drive DIP

Hello. I have a friend with a problem - it loses the settings of the DIP switch on his external hard drive SCSI SD80 CMS so he will no longer work with his Mac LCIII as before. It can not locate the manual showing the correct configuration for the LCIII. Anyone know what they are? Any help would be appreciated.

What is the SCSI ID setting? Any SCSI ID 1 to 6 can normally be used, so that another device has not the same ID 7 ID would be reserved for the computer Macintosh, and ID 0 (in general) for the internal hard drive. Information on a disc similar to http://www.artisantg.com/TestMeasurement/65450-2/CMS_Enhancements_SD60_External _ SCSI_Hard_Drive (found through a random search) possibly could be of some interest?

I did a clean install on the T400 and installed all the drivers that are essential under the SWTools folder, but I see a problem with the card ATI will not work correctly.

After installation from the folder videos and restarted the laptop. There is a sign next to the 'ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series' in Device Manager

Under device status, I see the following error message

"This device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

Click on 'Search for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available. »

Has anyone seen this error? I tried to reinstall the driver again, but that does not solve the problem. Actually, the PowerManager now has trouble switching graphics, with the balloon message "system cannot activate graphics high-performance" close all 3D applications or video and disconnect the external screens. " Switch graphics processors. »

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Just figured it out. This feature requires Vista SP1. Since my Vista disk is the original disc of RTM without SP1, this is why I came across this problem.
