Direct scan to email using the touchscreen working even if test in EWS was successful

I try to get the email function works with the M425dw of MFP HP LaserJet 400 direct scanning but have failed so far.

To make this feature without a computer other than the WLAN router is required to run since I use the wireless option. However, the operating system of my laptop is Windows 7 Home Premium.

By using the browser or the client of HP Toolbox to configure the built-in web server (EWS) and test the direct scan to email function works perfectly. I get emails in my Inbox that confirms that the configuration is correct. However, whenever I try to send a scan to email using the touch screen I see that messages saying that it connects with the mail (SMTP) server, sending to the e-mail selected, the last message on the screen indicates that the connection has failed and that I should try later but without success.

I have the latest firmware installed, tried the ADF - without success. Scan to USB works fine.

I hope someone has an idea of what to try to get this great work featured.

I had to realize that the problem is not necessarily related to the printer. Even if, by executing a test by sending an e-mail with an attachment from my laptop using exactly the same email configuration succeeded.

Anyway, once I changed the SMTP from a different provider that has worked.

    Bruce - thanks. I'm not sure you've seen this, but I looked on the "Update" menu on my laptop and updated the application manager. Who did the trick. I opened the Camera Raw 9.1 download successfully and it was installing on my hard drive, but without the CS 6 update, it was not to find the right place to go. This issue is now resolved, and updated the latest watch information box.

    I have a printer HP Office Jet Pro 8600 N911g.  I have this configuration currently with the network folder scan works very well.  I would like to set the scan to email.  As Headquarters uses the Exchange I have to use another service for SMTP.  Set up a Gmail account and puched in appropriate settings, but the device is unable to connect to gmail.  I tried several ports without success, I also tried to configure the e-mail server settings, again try several ports without success.  I tried using all the combinations using SSL and SMTP authentication, but nothing seems to connect.

    Gmail actually works, I have seen some say yes, others say no.  Is there another service that could work outside my corporate network or do I need to set up an internal, just e-mail server so that I can scan to e-mails?

    Try following the exact steps below and check if this can help:

    1. Click the setting of network on the printer and locate its IP address.
    2. Type this IP address from the browser on your PC to access the EWS page.
    3. Click the scanning tab.
    4. Under Scan to E-mail click e-mail profiles.
    5. Click new.
    6. Type your email address and any name to display selected, and then click Next.
      Note: Be sure to take note of the specific display name.
    7. Fill in the parameters of mail as follows:
      -smtp.gmail.com
      -465
      -Tick the box SSL
      -Check the box next to the SMTP authentication option
      -Enter your full gmail address as the user name and the password for gmail.
    8. Click next and dontinue following the steps until the summary, then click on save and test.

    If the Test fails for any continmue of connectivity problem following the steps below:

    1. Click the network tab.
    2. Under the active connection type section, click IPv4 (wired / wireless).
    3. Keep the IP address Configuration because there is, under the address Configuration DNS check the box next to manual DNS server.
    4. Define DNS preferred as 8.8.8.8
    5. Set the auxiliary DNS as 8.8.4.4
    6. Click the scanning tab and click the e-mail profiles again.
    7. Click the Test button next to the previously configured display name and check the time difference.

    Now, my scan to email works but brings microsoft Outlook as my mail carrier instead of aol, which is my real email service provider. When my printer (officejet pro 8600) was put in place last year, aol came up as my choice by e-mail, but has stopped working the week last for some unknown reason. All attempts to put in place new has opportunities to appear as my e-mail service provider (but refuses to send anything). When I go in configure my choice of email 'from' aol is presented as a choice confirmed and tested but will not be displayed when I finished a sweep to be sent by e-mail. Help!

    Well, I went back in and looked and there was a PIN in there, but I have no recollection of ever put a. My wife and I use this computer for scanning to e-mail all the time and we don't need extra security step. Sort of, once I cleared the PIN, I could follow the steps and send it successfully scan via my email. This part works, but I was hoping that I could perform this same task on my keyboard to the computer (which I use for) because I know that my wife (real estate agent) will not like the keyboard on the printer. At least, we have a part of the problem fixed, thanks to you and maybe can find a solution in the future of this function of rear back on my desktop.  Thanks again, David.

    I installed the wireless printer, and it communicates perfectly. It will scan USB very well, but I can't find a function to scan the PC unless I work from the PC using the HP software or other TWAIN software. I set up the printer for a friend who is legally blind and not competent computer.  He needs as USER FRIENDLY as it can get! He would like to insert pages in the feeder 'Print to PC' press and do the scan appear on his screen. Is this possible using wireless? If this is not the case, using a wired connection would allow the functionality I'm looking for?

    Scan compatible TWAIN or image Windows (WIA) - software compatible Application

    Does not matter if you use USB or network connection... None of them are 'push' the image of scan to PC:{{class=fontblue}}

    Perhaps we could reflect on a possible way: maybe scan from the front panel for a flash drive, then set up the PC to read and view from the USB to the insertion?

    Printer all-in-one Photosmart D110A. Printer works OK to computer when printing black and white or in color. But when using the scan or copy feature the printer does a solid black page. This just started recently. If I try to scan a document from the computer, the analysis that results is black Uni. I guess that it is a hardware problem. If this is correct, how can I get it fixed. Who should I call at HP for parts? Can I fix it myself or the printer fatally broken and that I should buy a new printer?

    It sounds like the scanner lamp turns off.  You can't really repair or replace just the scanner lamp.  The way to resolve this would be to replace the entire printer.  Check your warranty here.  If the warranty is still good, you can join the 1-800-474-6836 technical support in the United States and in Canada, international users click here.

    We have improved workstation 3 out of 4 in Acrobat Pro XI and since then, we have been unable to use the create a PDF file from a scanner.

    The scanner has not changed (Dell MFP) and the driver has not changed either. Our colleague who always uses v9.2 PRO is able to create a PDF from a scanner (using the B & W preset) without any problem.

    We are on the other hand is more able to create PDFS from a scanner - it throws an error message saying that the scanner model does not support the predefined settings: it IS! (since the other user can do).

    The only difference is that we have upgraded.

    The only way we can get the scanner to work is through a customized analysis and then a helper opens to scan or listen to samples that never happened before.

    Can you please help? It's very frustrating. Should we cancel our subscription and return to v9?

    I guess that the problem on windows computers.

    Try steps.

    1. click on the Start button > Search > run.

    2. run start.

    3. type %AppData%, hit OK.

    4. you will get localized name\AppData\Roaming user C:\Users\ (xxxxx)

    5. go into the folder Adobe > Acrobat.

    6 If Acrobat 11.0, there should be 11.0 folder. Rename the folder in Old_11.0.

    7 launch Acrobat again and try.

    Analysis cannot be done froom the front panel of the printer.

    If you have a problem with the Panel, you will need to repair the device because you won't be only able to scan, as you will not be able to load paper or calibrations.
