Directory of TMS on the endpoints registered CUCM TC

Since 14.4.0 TMS version, it is possible get endpoint CUCM registered directory server to point to the TMS directory instead of the CUCM directory.

I tried to set up, but I still can't get it to work.

On the endpoint of TC (version TC7.1.3), in Configuration > System Configuration > Server from the phonebook,

I set the server type MSD and the URL as http://TMSserverFQDN/tms/public/external/phonebook/phonebookservice.asmx

When I SSH to the endpoint TC I ping the TMS serverFQDN so DNS resolution on the endpoint is apparently works.

When I open this URL in my browser, I get a page called "PhoneBookService" with GetPhonebooks links, ResolveSystem and research

But on the preview endpoint it works everything simply. This shows just "no directory.

How can I solve this problem?

A few quick questions that jump to mind are:

  1. Endpoints defined in TMS?
  2. A TMS directory is published at the endpiont in MSDS?
  3. The directory TMS has a source valid and entered in it?

  • Security for the TC endpoints registered to CUCM

    Hi friends,

I need your help once more!

We have a new Cisco Telepresence environment to deploy. In this environment, we have enrolled in CUCM (8.6.2) endpoint TC (v 5.1) points. The CUCM fit to VCS/VCS Expressway in order to be able to call endopints on the internet.

We will also have TMS and TP server to use multipoint and demand. TP will be registered in VCS.

    Back to the question:

Can we have TLS and sRTP resource on endpoints registered to CUCM TC?

I was looking for some deployments of CallManager and security guides, but I found nothing cordially to endpoints TC, I haven't found information regarding Cisco IPphones.

Y at - it no document on this subject? I looked on the document "Administer endpoints TC on CUCM" and nothing.

  • TMSXE and endpoints registered to the CUCM 9.1

I edited this issue to clarify my concern a little *.

    Hello

I'll install 14.3 TMS with TMSXE 3.1.2. Version of Exchange is 2010 SP3. However SX, EX parameters is recorded in CUCM 9.1.1.

The CUCM will be registered with TMS and therefore end points will also be on the MSDS.

I can't find anything in the documentation that was told only that, or instead. Anyone know of any issues/warnings with this configuration and maybe any documentation that gives me more details about this particular deployment? Or it will be just like when endpoints are recorded directly to MSDS?

My concern is that TMSXE may not be able to manage endpoints correctly because they are not directly registered with TMS.

    Thanks in advance

    Oscar

    Hello

Refer to page 72 of the TMS Admin Guide regarding the addition of the CUCM and endpoints running software TE and TC at TMS who are enrolled in the CUCM:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/TMS/admin_guide/Cisco_TMS_Admin_Guide_14-3.PDF

Once you have added the end points registered in CUCM to TMS properly, then you should be good to go TMSXE wrt.

And for my own info, how many systems you will import in TMS via the CUCM?

  • TMS and registered CUCM phones (endpoint No. TC points)

    Hello

A customer has a lot of 9971 series and other video capable ip saved in CUCM phones which are obviously not the criteria of TC.

How can I go to add to TMS? Are they added only as unmanaged endpoints?

Is it possible that I can force the TMS or the conductor also to call them so that they can join a conference?

We have some use VIP users who want to call rather than compose themselves at the Conference and they have no endpoint of TC.

Thanks in advance for the help!

You probably don't have to add CUCM in TMS, unless you want to add any endpoints mentioned some of my first answer in TMS, although it wouldn't hurt to add it anyway.

You can add IP phones as unmanaged endpoint points, although this will consume a TMS system for each license added.  If you have plenty of endpoints that you want to add and you do not have enough licenses, you can use a directory phone, as mentioned earlier, see the "Manage Sources of phonebook" on pg 187 for more details.  You can schedule video conferences using two methods, but Smart Scheduler is unable to add participating telephone directories, so the TMS advanced scheduler should be used if you add participants from telephone directories.

What you do above in the TMS for the planning of endpoints has no impact on its PMF, you can add endpoints you want logged in as a favorite yourself in your TMS user portal.

  • TMS directory failed in the endpoints of series C after the migration of the device to the virtual computer

    Hi all

We have migrated the 12.8 TMS from the device to the TMS 13.0 on the VM platform. There is no matching TMSPE and mainly used for management and directory service.

Once the migration is complete on the platform of the VM, we found that endpoint C-series could not receive phonebook of TMS (while 95 MXP endpoints works very well with the TMS directory).

The end point of series C, we check the Configuration-> directory server 1: URL. The link is converted from http:// /tms/public/external/phonebook/phonebookservice.asmx http:// tms/public/external/phonebook/phonebookservice.asmx.

(In addition, we check the authorization of the two phone book page, and there is no IIS issue).

In the 95 MXP endpoint, it can receive the telephone directory unit VM MSD and MSD.

    Best regards

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

As confirmed by the curl command - you don't have access to the web page as an anonymous user.  You have to fix your permissions.  One of the fastest ways to do would be to try to reinstall the MSDS on the server again - this should reconfigure the IIS settings required for TMS.

  • Design of the telephone directory of TMS

    SALVATION of Netpro

I have a VCS - C AND TMS located within a DMZ. The VCS-E is on the public internet.

All internal clients are saved on the SCV - C and pull the telephone directories of TMS - OK.

I would like to publish directories TMS to devices that are registered with the VCS-E

Our compnay is a global organization and we have external companies with the internet only C20 end points which are registered in our E-VCS.

My goal is this - I would like to have a global directory that all systems have access to via registration VCS /TMS

Is the only way to achieve this goal to create two TMS servers who ask the same PB? A single server TMS on the DMZ with a NAT translation on a public address and a TMS server inside the network to all WAN / LAN clients?

Or y at - it another way to reach my goal?

    Thank you

    Stem

Well, the directory is transferred using http, which means that endpoint must join the tms on http or https in order to get it. An alternative would be to open port 80 or 443 so that MSDS are available on the public internet, which is what you eventually to do. If you use a double tms pointing to the same database where a single server is public you anyway compromising server tms to the public internet from the info you get would be the same no matter which tms server you connect to because of the shared db. The c20s must be added in tms as well (but not accessible by the MSDS if it is a system of soho) in order to obtain the authorization to access the directories that you set on the system. But there is no need to be very complex, as long as the endpoints can reach the tms of the internet server.

  • TMS connects to the endpoints, but is not able to update

    Hi all

I added our Tandberg profile on the MSDS management server endpoint and inserted the address of MSDS in the menus of the endpoint.

In TMS I can view all the endpoints and their parameters, but when you change these settings I get the following error message: "could not update all the parameters. Details: hostAddress: [ip endpoint], description: GetDocument Failed. URL: http://[parameter] / putxml, base exception: the remote server returned an error: (417) Expectation Failed. »

I tried several ways of connections and also did not find any solution on Cisco's Web site, so I hope you can help me. All devices, TMS and endpoints are in the same network.

    Thank you

    Ben

First advice would be to upgrade your video network components... TMS12.1 and TC2.1.1 are quite old now! But if you want to try the solution I gave you, add the block at the end of the file, before in order to get something like this:

    ...

    ...

    ...

Then, save the web.config file and a control box, run iisreset to restart the web server.

And as said above, save a backup first!

  • State of the endpoint system / meaning / resolution

You know all the resources to find the following State of the endpoint system messages in MSD and their meaning and/or the corresponding resolution:

    State of the endpoint system
    Unknown-
    Alive-
    Idle-
    InCall-
    No SNMP response-
    Manager not available system-
    Not registered with CUCM-
    No HTTP response-
    No HTTPS response-

  • Use the VCS to CUCM composition URI

I have an external SX20 and internal jabber user

The jabber username is [email protected] / * / and the extension number is 999

I want entering through the composition by CUCM

    But the path is external SX20 > VCS-E > VCS - C > CUCM > internal jabber user

I can dial [email protected] / * /, it is successful

But can not be used [email protected] / * / composition

Can VCS the [email protected] / * / of CUCM?

Or where I put in error?

I suggest that you have a good look through the VCS of Cisco and the deployment of CUCM Guide and verify that your configuration is at least similar to that proposed to allow calls between VCS and CUCM registered endpoints.  Looks like a lot that you are missing a search rule.

If the above has not resolved your problem, I suggest you move your discussion in the section Unified Communications Applications forums at the section of telepresence , where are discussed more actively to these types of devices.

  • Conference softkey on the endpoints of TC

    Hello

I recorded a few end of TC to the CUCM points. I also have a MCU5320 as a conference bridge in the media of the CUCM resource group. I can do ad hoc conferences with ip using the sofkeys Conference phones. But in the endpoints of TC, I only see the Conference softkey. Is it possible to create ad hoc conferences of TC on the CUCM endpoints? If so, how? If not, tehere is a plan for this feature?

    Best regards

    Chambers oumar

Hi Marc. What type of TC registering endpoints? I know once TE 6 is out for EX, you will be able to use the touch screen to use the MCU to merge or to create a conference on the MCU. The cop.sgn file will add extra field in CUCM configuration use UCM resource or resources internal to merge the units. I'm not sure about TC6, but I know TE 6 for systems EX will have this ability. Release date is soon. If all goes well before the ebd of the year, but I can't say with certainty that his subjects to change.

  • How EX90 ver 4.1 TC register CUCM 7.1.5?

Does anyone kno how EX90 ver 4.1 TC register CUCM 7.1.5?

CUCM 7.1.5 version cannot be upgraded, you can play this patch? Orthe EX 90 can be upgraded to version 7.1.5 CUCM management.

    Is there a perfect solution?

    Thank you

    Hello Zhang,

The native for Ex90 recording medium and many other points of video endpoints began with CUCM 8.6 and later versions. Then you can try to register but will not be a native SIP registration.

You can try the steps below to check.

1 create a SIP digest user and associate it with the third sip.

    2. Add endpoint third-party SIP device (advance).

    3. set the required field device pool, location, line (Partition & CSS), SIP profile, device security profile.

If the above does not work, and if you are looking for just call aim you can navigate with the third SIP (BASIC).

adittionaly check another thread related to your problem.

  • Conference TMS uses the wrong bandwidth with BBFRR

    Hi all

I m currently faced with the following question:

When booking a conference through TMS directly or through Outlook (with TMSXE) the bandwidth Conference when using BBFRR will be set to 1152 kbps regardless of the configured default 4096 Kbps or immersive IP broadband bandwidth in the World Conference of TMS. During a call directly to the conference expected the default bandwidth configured on the endpoint will be used. This brings me to the presumption that it has something to do with the maximum setting of IP bandwidth on each endpoint in TMS (see screenshot). You cannot change this setting because endpoint is saved to CUCM.

    TMS conference settings:

    Endpoint settings:

I have no idea where this parameter, and I hope that someone here in the field can help me fixing this problem.

    It's my current setup:

    -TMSXE 4.1

  • Problem with directory of TMS to Jabber Video distribution

    Hello

Recently, I have a problem with the configuration of the directories for video Jabber clients. Looked through a few topics that seem related but found them a little different.

In short: TMS 13.2 configured Extension commissioning and off FindMe, VCS Expressway 7.2, Cisco Jabber client video v4.5.

    Steps performed:

    1. a new user has been created (inside Provisioning > users) with [email protected] / * / and Device_Address_Pattern =

    [email protected] / * /.

    2. this user got automatically in the Provisioning directory (which already had a few other contacts inside)

    3. I have connected the video Jabber client with the new account, but can not find all the users via the search field within the customer (TMS illustrates usage of licenses) put into service.

It is easy to manually assign phone book on a device by using the function 'Set on systems. But what do I do to get his Jabber Client video inputs?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Alex

In the management of directories if you click on a directory there are Access tab control that allows you to assign access to directories for users.

Then you must make sure that you the directory server URI in the configuration of the user model commissioning as [email protected] / * / .

Make sure then that the TMS and the VCS is synchronized, you should now be able to search for directories if everything is correct.

  • Admin password of setting on the SX20 in CUCM - cannot set in peripheral CUCM

    I have CUCM 10.5.2

    SX20 with 7.3.1 code.

CUCM successfully, SX20 is recorded. Can I change the display name, expansion etc... 'apply changes' CUCM and endpoint learns changes and seems correct. So I guess downloading properly its configuration file and the settings app.

Device SX20 in CUCM admin page there is a section about 3/4 of the descent called "password and Admin user name"

It seems to indicate that endpoint admin username and password can be defined in CUCM and pushed down to the endpoint.

This does not work for me. It is not up-to-date.  Does anyone know if this is really supported?

I can put it fine directly from the web interface of the endpoint as usual.

Looking at the Administration TC endpoints running TC7.2 on UCM 10.5.1 on pg 31, you use go by what follows in order for the endpoint to use the name of user and password specified in CUCM:

    1. Use a profile secure in CUCM
    2. Use the built in admin endpoint account
    3. Do not connect not not CUCM thanks to a fast track

Otherwise, CUCM will count on you to specify an account with administrator privileges endpoint.

  • Purge of the endpoint group RegisteredDevices?

Is it possible to purge automatically endpoints in the endpoint identity group RegisteredDevices? So if endpoint is saved by using the automatic provisioning workflow, I would that the user access authenticated auth for 24 hours, then they must be re - authenticate, so their device may not be in RegisteredDevices, after 24 hours. Thank you.

    Hi Josh,.

An application is filed for the same under this id CSCua70707.  Currently the only way that I believe is to manually delete endpoints by checking reports of the endpoints that have been registered and also profiled.
