  • list WHO posts the 'To' address (disable AutoComplete)?

When I get the incoming mail to one of my email addresses (I have two gmail accounts a me.com account and a range of domain-based e-mail accounts) is there a way so that the mail just showed me WHAT address to which the mail is sent?

now, in the mail, it seems that it's just showing me MY NAME and I have to click this name to find a drop-down list (probably) all email addresses that I have listed in Contacts for MY NAME? I don't want my name here. I want to see the address that the mail be SENT to and now I have to click on my name and scrolling down to see dealing with the myriad of email is CHECKED.

Once again, I want to just see the mail address is sent to and not my name associated with (yet once no doubt), I think that through contacts with an email address.

who is? This seems to have been a boring great change in the latest operating system more or less.

    Thank you

One solution is to try an experiment

Change your name on the account to reflect the account

For example instead of put the name as "hotwheels 22" change in "hotwheels 22 - Gmail.

See if this changes the behavior

  • How can I disable AutoComplete in Web pages? No address bar autocomplete. In addition, delete the cache.

I just want to go on a specific site where I have a dial-up connection and type my username in the username every time box instead of having semi-automatic before entry to come. I don't want my username to be cached and I would like to delete the cache that exists. Thank you.

Follow these steps to delete the recorded data (form) in a drop-down list:

    1. Click on the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
    2. Select an entry in the drop-down list
    3. Press the DELETE key (on a Mac: shift + delete) to remove it.

  • Yahoo search in Safari engine even if Google is selected

Safari uses the Yahoo search engine in spite of the fact that Google is selected in the preferences. It is a problem a couple of years and the solutions were incredibly complex and one I don't know they would be still applicable. OS X is El Capitan 10.11.6. Sierra upgrade would solve this problem?

Try disabling all extensions Safari Safari/preferences/extensions. Test. If it works, turn on the extensions one by one until you identify the problem.

  • Safari 10 not not automatically opening PDF files

Yes, I have the box checked in the preferences to automatically open reliable files after downloading. I have tried many different websites PDF files now, and none of them does not open automatically.

I tried to delete the preferences of Safari, but that did not help.

Does anyone else have this problem?

For security reasons, I don't have Safari 10: preferences: general Panel: Open Safe files after downloading verified. It has nothing to do with the opening of PDF documents in the browser, as it is the function of the OS X Internet plugin default to this end, or the option in Adobe Acrobat Reader PDF plug-in.

Plug-in Adobe Reader is disabled by default in the 10 Safari: preferences: Security Panel: Internet Plug-ins. You will need to activate it via the plugin settings - if you use it, but with a WARNING WARNING like Safari 10 notes that there are security issues that you can, or perhaps are not willing to accept.

With Adobe Reader Plug - in disabled Internet, 10 Safari automatically opens a PDF Web site in the browser. There are no preferences special setting to enable this default behavior.

  • Impossible to get Safari to work with BT Internet email

I can not Safari to work with BT Internet email. Whenever I try to connect to my email account it comes with just a blank page.

It works very well with Firefox, but I would prefer to use Safari.

I disabled all extensions Safari and made sure the cache has been clear. I spent ages on the phone to BT this morning, but the question certainly seems to be with Safari.

Am I alone with this problem?

Just answered my own question. BT obviously don't like users using private browsing. It was the only thing I never thought

  • Pop - up alert to the Virus will not disappear in Safari

I get these pop-up windows (I have pop-ups disabled) for some kind of scam to virus removal.  I run Cocktail and repair permissions and remove all history... nothing helps.  Are these windows disrupting my use of Safari, they also changed my browser default Google to Yahoo even if the box is checked for Google.

I'm completely lost on this one... anyone of another dealing with this?

  • Search bar of Safari won't let me not all research data

I open Safari and search or try to enter a URL into the search bar.  Several letters in my driveway my hops out of the search bar and the down cursor in the body of the page I am on.  All other search bars (facebook, amazon, etc.) on the individual Web pages work fine.  The only time I have this problem is when you use the Safari search bar.  I tried a different mouse and the problem continues.  I did a test on Firefox and it works fine.  (I won't use Firefox because I like better the features of Safari).  I use a MacBook Pro 1 year, El Capitan 10.11.5 running.   I have worked with Apple since March 2016 and they tried without success: force quit safari, system fully updated. Has started in safe mode, reset the SMC, reset NVRAM, disk utility Ran. Reinstalled OS X

  • Problems with videos from Youtube on Safari

    Hey there

Since last week, I had trouble finding a solution to the following problem:
Whenever I want to watch a Youtube video, plays only the audio, the video-'box' is black (btw. I can't click on play or stop in the area of video, only on the play button). While I can listen to any video that I like, so it seems good to look at, too.
My recent research on help-forums that everyone on the internet led me the assumption that this has something to do with the new HTML5 player that youtube has installed. However, advice on these forums seem to be outdated, because I'm no longer in the HTML5 test mode, so I can't uninstall it.
Further investigation led me to the opinion to change my settings from safari by changing the 32-bit mode, that appartently, my new MacBook Air model is no longer able to do.
I also installed the latest version of Flash Player, which however seems irrelevant, for the new HTML5 is now independent of any flash device, as I concluded.
But I confess that I am rather ignorant of IT-stuff, or whatever the correct term for the issues that I am.
In addition, it's my first time asking for help on a forum, but I found it necessary because none of the problems I encountered were exactly that I'm having.

    So thanks for your help

  • Impossible to debug UIWebview with Safari 9.1

Recently updated to El Capitan 10.11.4, it comes with Safari 9.1. Now, I'm unable to debug UIWebview on iOS Simulator (tested on 9.2 iOS and iOS 8.4. both don't work). In the setting of safari Simulator are as follows. Inspector Web is running, JavaScript is activated. Website fraud warning is DISABLED. In Safari for Mac menu develop appear, the entrance of Simulator appear when the Simulator was launched but only show JSContext. The UIWebview embedded in our application does not appear in the submenu of the Simulator. All the web pages in safari iOS does not appear as well. Is there a setting that I missed? It worked before the upgrade to 10.11.4

    Hello ahuang105,

If you are a developer, you cannot act as a user.

This means that you need to test the Apple software throughout each cycle of beta. You need to do this test on a complete ecosystem "burner" - iOS devices, Mac, Apple ID dedicated to the beta test. Along the way, so something that you develop breaks in all of this, you will be able to report a bug to Apple and to develop an alternative solution in case Apple releases with the bug.

In the same time, another complete ecosystem production - Apple ID, Mac and iOS devices all dedicated development of production - needs to stay on the most recent version has no crippling bugs. For El Capitan, your guess is as good as mine what build that can be. 10.11.3 I guess.

For now, I suggest to ask in the developer forums if this bug in particular is fixed in 10.11.5. I have seen engineers Apple recommends this build for Simulator in 10.11.4 problems.
