How to disable the sound effects?
After the upgrade to Sierra, various applications now have sound effects. I unchecked sound effects as part of its interface. But the mail still makes a swoosh sound when sending anything. I don't know yet what other applications continue to use sound effects.
Is it possible to disable all sound effects?
Some applications have their own internal settings not affected by system settings in the Finder
for example, to disable the "Swoosh" in mail go to mail > Preferences, click the general tab and clear the sounds of other messaging features.

Qosmio F50 how to disable external sound using headphones
Hello
Just a quick question.
Does anyone know how can I disable the sound of my Qosmio F50 external when I use headphones?
Now when I plug in my headset to use Skype or listening to music, the sound still explosions out in the room. I can't understand how to turn off the sound without also disabling the sound in my headphones...
See you soon!
Hello
I have the Qosmio F50-113 in front of me and I have tested al.
When you connect the headphones/earphones for the first time the Manager Realtek HD Audio will appear on the screen and the small window in front of it.
This small window will inform you you this new device connected and ask you what it should be recognized.
There are three options:
Headset
Audio output device
Output S/PDIF deviceThe first headset option is set to default. When you click OK, you can hear the sound on the headphones but the laptop speakers are turned OFF.
So I assume that there is a bad option, and you have probably disabled the option for this small window pop up.
Please, open Manager Realtek HD Audio new (Control Panel) and make sure that the speakers tab is open. On the right side you will see the little icon. It looks like the folder icon. Click on it and select the option.
So start the music and connect the earphones again. Whenever the pop - up make sure you chose option for headphones.
So I tested it on Qosmio F50 and it works.

Make sure you have the right driver for Windows 7, and then click on start, type sound in the search box and click on settings and check hdmi sound is turned on!
If you access the list of playback devices, right-click on any empty space and a menu should appear with two options called "show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices", make sure that these care both checked. -

Original title: sound problem
I've disabled all sounds and disabled my sound card. There is always a warning tone. Why?
Hello
When does this beep?
It probably comes from the speaker of your motherboard.
Listen to the PC (put close your ear) while producing the sound and then compare it with putting your ear near a speaker.

There is a long list IN Manager devices under sound, video and game controllers

Legacy Audio drivers
Legacy video Capture devices

4 Audio inputs from NVIDIA High Definition - where all appear to be identical properties
Video codecs
Show all working properly

No sound work of the integrated sound card since the withdrawal of another sound card

Although he seems to think that all devices are working correctly, when I try to listen, by using the sockets on the back or forward, there is no sound. The audio realtek manages it say that there is no device plugged into the system.
