Disable PJL HP Color LaserJet 3800 printer

Gentlemen, I have a couple of older printers model in my company who jump positive on our security scans for PJL being active and protected by one. And, despite my efforts, I can't find any setting that disables these in their Jet Direct or physically at the printer. Any help would be welcome, because the next step is to barricade me in my office as angry users because I got 'their' printers, are against the door down.

If you want to try to define a password PJL, .prn (disguised with an extension added .txt to ensure that it can be attached here) 'send' the content of the print file attached to the printer port.

The work assumes the current password PJL is disabled (i.e. = 0) and sets the new password to 65535 (the maximum value on newer devices)?

    From the Diagnostics menu, there is a check cartridge check box to disable, select this option and swap the Magenta cartridge with any other cartridge and a print supply status page.

    If you get all the colors but it is a cartridge problem, if you have magenta and miss the color that you exchanged with magenta is a printer failure.

    Improved Airport Extreme newest model of much older model. Now, I can't print from my office iMac and MacBook Air via the wifi on my HP printer connected to Airport Extreme USB port.  Seems to send the print job to the printer, but the printer message 'data' and then hangs until I press the button "check", how to print a page that says "ERROR: FAUTIVE COMMAND timeout: timeout".   Prints fine when connected directly to the computer via USB.

    Your printer has an Ethernet cable connection?  If so, connect directly to the AirPort Extreme with an Ethernet cable, which should work.

    If only USB port only in the printer, sometimes it is useful to restart the printer and the router, created a new printer queue and try again.  If you still have the same error, then we will have to continue the investigation

    Had the printer listed above for several years and love it.  Have just started having problems with the printer does not print not not in color.  Have a recorded document that needs to be printed every month and have had no problems with it, until yesterday when it is printed in black only.  Another document word also printed in black only.  I printed a test page printed correctly.

    Don't know if there is a definition in the document, or is it a printer problem.  Help!

    The HP Color Laserjet Pro M252N Featuer software complete is not supported on Windows XP, however you can get the features of the printer using HP PCL 6 Universal Print Driver listed on page 9 of the User Guide, be aware that the Service Pack 3 must be installed on the operating system to use the printer:

    Make a right click my computer and select Properties - locate Service Pack 3 in this form... If Service Pack 3 is not the operating system MUST be updated first:

    As Windows Embedded edition is an edition of the customized version no official support is guaranteed.

    It is a customized operating system version includes only the components of the operating system selected for specific needs.

    Those selected by the OEM computer and not necessarily include any component required by the HP software or hardware.

    Try to install the printer and see if this can work, however it can work as explained and may not only the manufacturer of the computer can respond if such material can be installed on the operating system or not...

    According to the data sheet for the Laserjet 4700n printer range, this printer has only these methods of connectivity. Unfortunately, wireless printing is not mentioned.

    Try this test.

    Printed page in after you get the blank page open the access door and see if you can move the carrousel by hand.

    If the carousel will rotate the carousel latch is stuck.

    The lock can be fixed by disassembly of the valve and clean some foam sticky residue deteriorated and its replacement by a thin piece of material. I use stickers very thin markers of a dollar store.

    We have a Color Laserjet 4600 printer. For a long time, it has been printing cyan on the back of the documents that are printed.

    Recently, I cleaned the front "roller", which is long and looks like a long piece of rubber/plastic black thick.

    The part number of the kit is Q3668-67925. Very easy to replace. You just remove the screw at the top of both sides and just slide the old one out and put the new.     When you reinstall the printer helps reinstall you by plugging the USB of the computer? Or are you downloading from the HP site? I recommend that you disconnect the printer from your computer by unplugging the USB or disconnect the connection without wire and then go to the HP support for HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer. Find your printer driver and reinstall.

    I enclose a printed copy of what should be a configuration of a Color LaserJet 3525 page. As you can see, there is no text of any kind printed but only finger stretch marks. I am also attaching one of the pages of the diagnostics output. As you can see, only magenta print whatever it is readable.

    The printer went out of warranty two years ago, but worked well so far.

    You problems with the black and yellow toners or problem with the scanner to the laser/for these colors. The easy way to test is to go to the diagnostics on the printer menu and choose the item disable check cartridge. When the printer says ready, diagnostic mode, open the front cover and do switch the magenta toner in the black slot and in the yellow slot cyan toner and toner Black, then put in the slot of magenta and yellow toner in the cyan slot. Now try and print a page of Setup again and post the results. If you now get a magenta print which is good, which would indicate that the black toner, and I think that the yellow toner are bad. If still the same problem I think you meet / scanner laser or high-voltage issues. You can also do engine test again to see what lines appear on the page. Keep in mind that the person above you wanted the diagnostic with the installed trainer test.
