disable the loading of my digital imaging monitor starting

I want to disable to load at startup HP digital imaging monitor. Is it possible and how can I do?

I use an inkjet all-in-one 3680

Of course, if it causes problems, you can always return to a normal startup upward. This is what is happening to them if you deselect an itam in them you are selective and not normal startup. Normal would be with services. So as long as you do not have any other sideaffects of selective startup, its ok to leave it like that. If you have any questions, simply go to the new normal startup :-)

HP Digital Imaging Monitor does not recognize my 6500 all-in-in-one in an attempt to check after moving from Win 7 to 10 to win. When my OS is Windows 7, I was able to scan without any problem. Immediately after the upgrade to WIN 10, HP Digital Imaging Monitor can no longer detect my 6500, so, I can't scan with this app. Can I print using the word. I can scan using HP print and doctor Scan and printing Windows Scan. I would use Windows print and Scan, but it does not save the scan to PDF, which I use when emailing analysis to others. I saw the 6500 app load (do not do this manually) and I ran a report of my office to test FAX after the load so the 6500 is recognized by some applications. Any suggestions on getting the HP Digital Imaging Monitor to work with Win 10?

Problem solved. By clicking on the HP Digital Imaging Monitor icon in the task bar previously launched HP Digital Imaging Monitor, which I expected; but he sees not the 6500. However, by clicking on the icon same spear Center Solutions HP without openly update or load anything else. HP Solution Center sees the 6500 and I can scan and save to the PDF format as before. I suspect that the HP Solution Center was launched in the past vice HP Digital Imaging Monitor. Before posting the original message, I rebooted my PC several times, checked for Windows HP updates (there were not), disconnect and power the 6500 and specifically wanted to win 10 version of HP Digital Imaging Monitor all to nothing done.

  • What is the HP Digital Imaging Monitor? Apply to my operating system, Windows 7?

What is the HP Digital Imaging Monitor? Apply to my operating system, Windows 7? I want to remove the icon from the task bar (toolbar in the lower right corner of the screen) that I never use it.

Picardjc wrote that "Digital imaging monitor is part of the HP software that communicates with your HP printer. This program allows to read the inklevels, get an out of paper message, scan from the device to the computer and so on. It is not necessary, but it will restrict the use of printers if you delete. "Understood. But for my printer HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809a, what is the purpose of having the digital imaging monitor icon in the taskbar Windows7 sp1 of the Notification area (aka system tray)? My A809a is NOT an all-in-one that includes a scanner; It is simply a very good printer. When I start to print something, if you need ink or paper, that information is displayed on the screen of my computer. So I ask again: why is the icon of monitor digital imaging on the taskbar? I clicked on at the time of this icon (I not print anything, but as usual, the printer is turned on), and nothing happened. R.N. (Roger) Folsom _ P.S. below I'll post some other discussions (with links to their locations) of the digital imaging monitor, I discovered before finding this site on which I am writing. There are a variety of opinions on what makes the digital imaging monitor. HP Digital Imaging Monitor is for HP director system tray access. This is necessary if you want to use the buttons of all-in-one on a HP printer all in one to scan documents or transfer photos from a camera manually. Closing the icon monitor HP digital imaging in the Windows system tray can cause the HP all-in-one to lose part of its scanning features and not the connection error message. In this case, you can restore all functionality by restarting the computer or by starting the HP digital imaging monitor. [Edited] 03/08/2011 14:05 - edited? 03/08/2011 14:08 Yes, it is safe to remove. In my view, it is usually in the program group under start / all programs / startup. Simply navigate under the Start button, right-click on it and delete! If it is not there, then remove it from the registry: run regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete it from the list in the right pane. If she is not there, then try hkey_current_user\\software\\microsoft\\windows\\currentversion\\run it's better than using msconfig and uncheck it. In my opinion, msconfig must always be set to Normal startup. Your printer will always print without that annoying obstructive utility called Digital Imaging Monitor. Ciao! • HP Officejet 6500 e709n: restored computer, 6500 e709n parameters are fine, but Digital Imaging Monitor wants to reset the printer

I recently had to restore my desktop computer.  I have reinstalled the digital imaging monitor.  The printer works well, programs on the computer can access it fine, but I can't use the digital imaging monitor, he wants to reconfigure all the settings and requires that I have reconnected the printer with a USB cable.  Is there a way to get around this?  Or I have to go hunt a USB cable and go through all that mess even once?

    Hi @jjustjjo,

If you want to use the SUN, you will need to use a USB cable to reconfigure the printer.

I hope this helps. Have a great day.

  • Lose the tray for "Digital Imaging Monitor" icon

The "Digital Imaging Monitor" HP is great. It keeps my printer sharing and I love it, however, I don't have the icon down in the system tray. I know how to turn it off, 'right click - out', but I'd like to keep the "Digital Imaging Monitor" running and loose just the tray icon. There is no option for "icon view". Any suggestions? (HP Digital Imaging Monitor ver 10.0)

    Hi Drew777,

Thanks for the reply, but I think you have me a little confused now. I don't know what you mean, what is the functionality of Windows 7 for all icons. As you can see in the screenshot, you can select options for each icon, you should be able to Windows XP as well, stated in this paper How to hide icons in Windows XP system tray .

I feel like I'm missing just something here then please provide any other details in order to get to the same page you are on

  • REMOVE HP Digital Imaging Monitor Systray?

How can I REMOVE the HP Digital Imaging Monitor in my Systray?

I use the HP Deskject D1600.

I don't need my printer for print jobs that are very basic. I use my computer with remote desktop on a daily basis, and the HP Digital Imaging Monitor is really SLOWING things down for me. I came close the printer uninstall and return it to the store, but this seems to be a radical response. I used HPs for years, but I find this kind of INVASIVE application and evil. (I'm frankly shocked that HP would not be a simple way to get the systray, but I was not able to find it.)

For the record, I'm pretty comfortable around computers and IT Manager. I use WinXP as my OS on a Dell desktop with limited resources (I work for a festival not for profit with finances tight).

    Thank you very much!

I would recommend uninstalling the software and download and install the "base" driver from hp.com. I'm not familiar with your printer, but I did with another printer on an old PC XP and it seems to help performance significantly.  There may be a few missing features, but probably nothing you can not do otherwise.

  • ONLY install the driver of HP Digital Imaging

I have a Photosmart C6180 AIO and do not want to install all of the software on my PC HP suite. I installed only print driver, and that works very well. I am able to scan from my PC by accessing printers built in app scan (via browser). However, I would be able to undertake analyses at the printer and it seems that this can be done with HP Digital Imaging Monitor installed. Is it possible to install this without installing the full suite of HP on the PC drivers/software?

If you want to be able to scan from the printer, then please install HP Solution Center. Who will send a list of programs to the printer, where you can choose where you want to scan to.

  • Digital Imaging monitor

I used windows update this morning for the first time in the month and installed all security updates.  Wish I didn't!  I have a HP Photosmart 3310 all-in-one that has never given me a problem, and since installing the wonderful windows updates, the digital imaging monitor, which always automatically initialized when you start the computer, does not start.  I can't even manually start.  Whenever the computer gives me an error saying SUN needs to close.  In the event viewer, the error reads "Faulting application hpqtra08.exe, version 53.0.13.0, failed module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault 0x00011c48 address."  [When I saw initially ntdll.dll error, the version is newer.  I uninstalled the update of windows which seemed to include this special ntdll.dll file, who came back to this version (5.1.2600.2180), but it has done any good.]

I hope someone here can help me get my printer to the way it was before Windows he screwed up!  I don't know if I need to uninstall and reinstall the printer software.  I become nervous, something like that, and didn't want to tackle it unless someone more competent than I recommended him.  Thanks for any help.

Solved this problem and I wanted to share in case anyone has the same problem.  Uninstalled the printer using the installation disk and reinstalled.  Fixed a problem.  Sidenote, interesting - after uninstallation, a message pops up saying the uninstall will be completed after the computer is restarted, and when I rebooted, the digital imaging monitor has started without problem, but with no printer installed to use it.  I thought uninstall would remove this program and everything else.  Anyway, printer of works fine now.  Thanks to all those who may have finally answered.
