Disable the setting custom step Type

Hello

I'm developing some types of custom step and I don't want the developer of the sequence to be able to change them. He should be able to access the properties of the step only which are visible through the property browser. I want my guys to appear as types of NI - where everything is disabled for the user.

This way I can protect my types to get damaged by an adventurous sequence developer and also give him the freedom to design their own tests using the types I give him.

Is this possible? If so, how?

Thank you.

Aditya

If they are connected as long as developer and not admin, you can change the privileges > configure > change types to false.

  • Disable the setting of the play Mode does not work

I have searched through the forum and with Google searches and saw he has discussed with several threads, but encountered no valid patches (or bypasses) so I thought I would try here...

At work, I started in looking for a way to disable the 'read' for Adobe Reader X (version 10) Mode when the documents are displayed in a web browser, because a large number of users is complained about this.  I tried to disable (uncheck) the setting in the player 'Préférences', under the category of the Internet, but that has no effect on the way. PDF files are displayed.  I have tested this using multiple versions of multiple browsers (IE and FireFox) and ran on several versions of Windows (XP and 7).  However, even after unchecking the setting, the translucent toolbar still floating in the lower central part of the page.

By clicking on the icon "Clover" ("see the toolbar Acrobat') to anchor the toolbar in a persistent horizontal row at the top of the window, which is what our users prefer, but having to do it manually with each document being read (which for some users, the number of hundreds per day) is extremely heavy.  In addition, unless I'm a bad interpretation of the description given by the Adobe documentation, that's exactly what the setting "Default playback Mode display" is supposed to control.

Just for the record, here are other things that I looked at:

    • Confirmed that the [Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader\10.0\AVGeneral HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\] registry key, "bBrowserDisplayInReadMode", is actually used to 0 when the setting is disabled.
    • Tried to restart the browser, restart the computer and tried the test above under Windows XP and Windows 7.
    • Wanted by the release notes for each release / update of version X (10.1.1 10.1.2 10.1.3) to see if he had any information about it as a known bug, but found nothing.  Came across another post (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4087017#4087017) that claimed that the emitted are, indeed, a known bug that was supposed to be fixed in version 10.1.1.  However, my testing shows otherwise.
    • I have observed that even if the setting "Default playback Mode display" is not checked in the program settings (i.e. the start menu-> programs-> Adobe Reader, then clicking on 'Edit'-> 'Préférences'), if any. PDF file is then opened with a new browser session, not only is not docked toolbar, but if you right click and choose "Page Display Preferences", the parameter "Default playback Mode display" is checked.  Unchecking it, however, does not seem to have any effect.

We appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Again, I find answering me my own message / question.

Apparently, this problem (parameter "Read Mode" has not influence) is a bug which is present in the version of Adobe Reader X 10.1.1 and after you have deployed the latest patch (quarterly), AcrobatUpd1013.msp, the problem has been resolved.  The parameter "Default playback Mode display" is managed correctly, so that the Reader toolbar is docked when the setting is off and returns to the floating, translucent toolbar / disappears when the option is checked.  It is more necessary to press the F8 key.

Hope this info may help someone of another encounter the same problem.

The function of research-as-I-type in the new Firefox seems twisted. If I'm looking for the 'invisible' word in a Web page, it will first jump to any word starting with 'in' and highlight the Word as I have to, and then click the arrow in the "Search" window to add the search term. As soon as I add one of these, it then jumps to the next 'result' I have no interest in, and then click again in the field "search". He did a REALLY aggravating text search. Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.

BIOS (not ORGANIC) and who is outside of * any * operating system - Windows included - and depends on the machine in question (specific machine) and you want to disable specific settings.  Best bet is to get a manual/find a web page on the settings that you want to disable.

  • Disabling the setting to "create a new account".

I am currently using Windows 7 and have an administrator account for me and a standard account for my teenage daughter.

My question is, when she wants to change anything that affects essentially the entire computer - she is able to simply create a new account with administator properties. Is there a way I can disable this if only an administrator can create a new account?

Standard accounts cannot be created by normal means administrator accounts. If your girl can do what she so knows how to hack his way through the windows. There is nothing you can do to avoid it. Better to give it its own machine and keep your machine for you.

  • How to get the parameter values of a step type custom when I create file and adding a type of step seq

    I use lv 8.5 and teststand 4.0.

I did a step type custom and recorded at the MyTypes.ini in pallets of type.

I specified a default module by opening the properties of the custom step of *.ini type window, then I put some values of the parameters.

T1) when I open teststand and I add the custom step type manaully in seq file, the labview module parameter values are represented.

But, if to use file (create and add support prototype stage), the labview module parameter values has the default value.

Using joint file, how to get the setting custom step type values I put in *.ini?

Q2) each type of step are automatically by name through the use of LoadTypePaletteFilesEx. When I open teststand and I add the custom step type manaully in seq file, the module is loaded automatically. Inside the attachment, I use a prototype of charge and a fixed path where the module labview is to load the labview module.

Can I load module automatically without using a prototype of charge or how can I get a dynamic path of type step?

I solved Q1 for myself by using the mapping tab of the parameter within the configuration to the default module window.

    Everyone knows Q2?

    Thank you.

  • Creating a type of stage of the "Launcher" which would insert the appropriate step type predefined or custom time edition

    Hello world

I'm looking for tips, pointers, directions... to be able to perform this operation in TS 4.0 sequence Editor, if it is still possible...

I am managing a test system with an abstraction of virtual instruments 'home-made' additional layer to IVI classes for instruments that have no defined classes, customization of the sequence editor accordingly for the developers of my Department.

So basically, when the instrument is IVI, the developer uses the built-in type of stage IIA type and when it is not the case, it uses the types of custom step I developed for this particular category of instruments.

However there are classes where I both IVI and available specific drivers and I have to use both in the test sequence.

For example, let's say there are two DC power sources available in the test bench, including a programmable IVI compatible DC power and the other composed of 'blocks' fixed to DC power relay-driven external and you will need to use both in the test sequence.

I want to be able to do in the sequence editor is the insertion of appropriate during the editing just level type by selecting the power source (by a ring or an enum for example) and if the first resource is selected, it inserts the type of stage IIA, and if the second resource is selected, it inserts the appropriate custom step type.

Any ideas on how to achieve this?

    Kind regards

    Cyril

I don't know exactly when you plan this next prompt, but one option is to create a personalized with a custom step step type named OnNewStep. It will be called when your approach is inserted in the sequence. You can then display the command prompt and replace program step custom in the sequence step type based on the selection of the appropriate user.

  • Where to define new custom data types?

    Hello

In the past (TS 3.5) I created our own range of custom type file that has been used

to store the new data types and then referred the case to other colleagues. The file would be

stored in the ...\Program Files\...\User area.

My question arose because we now use the TS 4.1/4.2, which is no longer a separate

Directories of NOR and user in \Program Files.

Because now I want to change an existing custom data type, I find that our range of custom type has

fallen by the way side, forgotten.

Even though I can see the custom data definitions within the sequence of type files that use

custom data types, which means that I can edit them locally, I intend to return to

a range of custom type, i.e. comprehensive definition.

What is the relationship between the definitions in a range of custom type and custom data

definitions of type of a file of sequence?

When a palette to update file a file of sequence?, who takes over in the event of conflicts?

is a really necessary sequence files palette file if they are separated by using the same custom data type

can update the other? What is good practice when defining custom types of data?

    Thank you

    Gary.

    Hey guys,.

This is a very interesting thread, and I've got everything right, in heart, with advice given so far. I just wanted to offer some additional tips on the conflicts of kind - with more response, the initial question concerning the definition of what is priority in case of conflict.

It is important to note that TestStand uses type names and version numbers to identify the different types. It is also important to note that when you use a definition of type of customers within a sequence, the sequence (.seq) file containing the sequence will keep a copy of the type definition. This greatly facilitates distributed sequence files. However, it also opens the door to potential conflicts type.

TestStand allows only one type of unique name to be loaded into memory at any given time, so that it uses the number of versions of the type to try to resolve these conflicts automatically. For example, TestStand can be configured to load any type is the largest version number (note that this can be changed via the tab Preferences dialog box Options of Station).

All this information and more are found in the following tutorials...

  • How can I disable the auto restart (following updates) for Windows 7 Home Premium (without messing around w / the register)?

Hello.  About all of the weeks I have my upload computer files from one day to the next.  It's a 17-hour process, and I don't want the computer off or restarted during this process.  Murphy's law usually results in an update windows & restart related happening whenever I put my computer to download said.  First of all, it is deeply annoying that windows would reboot my computer without asking me (Yes, I realize he asks you, and if you are away for an extended period, he just goes ahead and does it... but really, what the $#! % is the point of asking you if she goes ahead and that anyway when you get him just enough early?)  Wow!  Incredibly retarted the Windows for this.)  But anyway, how can I disable this for Win7 Home Premium?  (As if in the first place is not quite annoying, making it virtually impossible to figure out how to turn it off is like adding insult to injury).  Please NOTE, I've seen some other forum post responses on this site that is: (1) link to an information page on the group policies for system administrators, but nowhere does really explain where and how to access these policies and change them!  (2) has a process that begins with 'gpedit.msc' running, but when I started > box to search for this file, there is no result.  (3) the hacking the registry (seriously?  Please, don't.)  SO, please tell me how to disable the auto restart, step by step, without messing with the registry, for WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM.  Ideally, I'd like to be able to potentially re - activate cela in the future and/or switches back as my usage dictates.  And for the record, it's nut that's not a simple option toggle any, as when my computer or monitor sleeps...  Thank you!!

Thank you.  I'll do it and change my Windows Update settings.  BUT, FYI, in an act even more incredible, the same night I posted my question here, my computer was said upload, and I was still in place at 03:00 (when Windows is set to d/l and install updates).  I went to the kitchen for a bit and returned to my computer to find a countdown - he downloaded updates and "will re-start in 7 minutes" or so and counting down... I said "AH HA!"  I caught you! "I clicked the button of REPORTER and went to bed smiling that I myself had saved wasting many hours of work.  But when I woke up the next morning... HE HAD DONE IT AGAIN!  This means that it is: (1) downloaded another "critic" (cough) update later in the evening, which seems likely because it took to do this at 03:00 and had already done so... or (2) the REPORTER button defers only during a certain period of time (maybe an hour, or even less, by the look of it) and then do it again anyway.

This is ridiculous.  As it is not ridiculous to called 9 10 patches 'critical', so critical that an urgent restarting your computer is necessary EVEN IF HE is BUSY WORKING, the substitution of the computer user asks to postpone and reboot anyway is absolutely unacceptable.  How the manufacturers of Windows might think this makes sense, let alone was a good idea?  Reporter should make the computer restarts DO NOT until * I * say he is allowed to do.

In this case, finish the work of 17 hours, that the computer was in the Middle has been MUCH more critical that whatever is downloaded updated.  NO doubt about it.  I know.  Apparently, my operating system is not smart enough to know.  So to take it upon himself to replace my reporter application is crazy.  And in addition, the operating system MUST be smart enough to understand this - it's really not that difficult - if the computer is a lot of work, something intense, a download that is not finished, a sort of bar of ANY progress on ANY application which is not 100% yet, etc., it should be smart enough to WAIT to reboot anyway.

Thanks again once, change Windows Update settings so it will download updates but let me choose to install them, since this operating system is so poorly thought.
