• Changing to a new computer from vista to windows 7. My file transfer and deletion of personal information, including files from my old computer for security reasons

  I'm about to change my old computer (windows vista) to a new all-in - one computer that has windows 7. Am I right in thinking that I can transfer my files incl. photos to an external hard drive and then plug that to my new download or is it more than that. Also, I have macafee protection on my old computer and don't know how to transfer to my new one cos I don't think that's it (we bought it second hand on ebay), and this should be done first.

  Finally how to make sure that none of my personal information is nowhere on my old for security reasons?

  (1) simple, connect you external hard drive copy data

  Or use the backup software which may be preinstalled on the outside

  The windows recovery discs to retrieve destructively to factory settings

  McAfee

  Uninstall on the old PC to the new PC, uninstall any trial version pre-installed anti-virus, reboot, reinstall McAfee from original installation media using your key

  New PC

  Make sure that it has been reset to the State of the plant, before you do something with it, because you don't know what the previous user used during or installed on it.

  (1) you have a third-party security software installed?
  This could be due to that... What are the analyses of different viruses that you already have... It may be a product of firewall or security of third parties that interfere the windows firewall, disable one by one your security scanners and try for windows firewall

  (2)if you do not have these installed firewall products, this could be due to malicious software or some other problem...

  If you have an antivirus up to date solution its definitions and do a full scan of the system...

  If you do not have an antivirus solution, or one does not work, use one of the recommended tools (use only one at a time)

  Write down the answers to your security questions.  They are like you knowing banking details.

  Normally an iCloud address cannot use the e-mail contact. You've probably used a different one.

  It's probably a SCAM.  Do not call these numbers.  Force Quit Safari and reopen it by holding down the SHIFT key.

  From this page, on my webhost, I created a group called "vmware-vmnet0", then I add the user running vmware to this group.  I can give this rw on/dev/vmnet0 group permissions

  Device nodes are re-created at boot time.  You can thank Linux udev.  To work around this problem, create the vmnet devices * with the ownership and the permissions you want under/lib/udev/devices.
