Disappointment of the AppleTV

When I bought my AppleTV, I thought that there will be great games that I play with because it doesn't have a chip A8 nice that can play these games. But as time passes, I don't see any new games coming to the Apple TV I see that they intend.

For example why Blizzard has Overwatch on Apple TV, or Grand Theft Auto, UnCharted, FIFA and the list goes on...

I hope that one day they will have these games on AppleTV since then, I have these same apps to my TV via the TV software so what's the point to buy AppleTV that?

It's not Apple that offer games for the Apple TV, if you want to request games to be ported to the Apple TV, you must ask the people who produce them.

    It is an application provided by C-SPAN, no Apple. Check and see if there is a C-SPAN app in the app store for your iPhone/iPad. You can then use home sharing, if the application permits.

    Once you're on the appleTV, you shouldn't be on the interface (right now all what you're used to seeing) of your smart TV.

    After you have connected your your ATV HDMI cable to your TV, your TV remote, you should be able to go to the respective HDMI (usually the key to which is called input or Source)

    Once you see the ATV interface, netflix should be there. You should perhaps update your ATV first and configure it to your wifi for the first time.

    At home, I have a modem/router double band in a Hitron CGN3 installed, providing 2.4 G and 5G wifi access. However, the dual band seems not suitable for airplay, because they cannot communicate with each other via the double frequencies.

    iPhone 5 s #1 (version 9.3.4): 5 g

    iPhone 5 s #2 (version 9.3.4): 2.4 g

    Audio/video receiver: Wired Ethernet

    #1 laptop (windows 7, latest iTune): 2.4 G

    #2 laptop (windows 7, latest iTune): 2.4 G

    Questions and facts of communication:

    • iPhone 5 s #1 (on 5 G) can reach AppleTV (on 5 G) - very well, but the iPhone 5 s #2 (in 2. 4 g) cannot see the AppleTV (on 5 G)
    • All iPhones and iTunes on laptops can see the AV receiver (on Ethernet cable)
    • All iTunes on laptop computers (about 2. 4 g) cannot see the AppleTV (on 5 G)

    In my view, that airplay should work in the same network. All my devices to connect to the same router/modem, just using WiFi dual bands. Could you please tell how to configure to activate devices on 2.4 G to see on 5G AppleTV using airplay? Except the resolution that I have to put all devices on 2. 4 g. My laptop does not support the network of 5G, BTW.

    Had a similar problem with my router Netgear of Virgin in Britain. My router has a network of comments rather than the two strips running on the same network, then the router has isolate traffic from 5 G to 2. 4 g. I connected to the interface of the router and changed the settings for everything, and it works.

    A way to check see if you have different IP addresses on devices ranges. 5g is 192.168.0 and 2.4 g is 10.10.0

    Use the same amount of data streaming and download.

    The only difference would be if you want to watch the movie several times. In this case, download the movie first, would be more effective in terms of use of the data.

    It is really strange that your laptop works on this path. I sure you are the first person who sends us a report about the slow speed of LAN Mr. it is really strange.

    Of course we don t know anything about your router, the internet connection, the configuration of the OS, but what you should try is to also test with another router. Who knows what is the problem.

    I had the same experience today. First purchase of Dell and I am extremely disappointed by the customer service. I remember and different people hang up on me as soon as I told them upset how I was. At any given time, a supervisor, which I complained to and his response was, "I'm sorry to hear, than I can help you with" didn't even want the names of the representatives, I had spoken with. Absolutely no respect for the customers. I'm reluctant to say it's because of the where they are, but it seems that there are cultural differences in how to treat customers.

    Our YouTube app icon disappeared from the main Menu of our AppleTV (software version 6.2.1) a few months ago.

    It seems to coincide with an update software and thought that Apple didn't guarantee the rights or something to use the YouTube link, but we noticed from the icon of the application on other AppleTV.

    Anyone know how I can add the icon back to the main menu?

  • Disappointed with the upgrade of Adobe CS5.5

    I just bought the upgrade of CS3 Production Premium CS5.5 Master Collection and am very disappointed... and have not yet installed yet.

    The box of the Adobe Store came with NO manuals, not so much as a vulgar piece of paper that says hello. Just 3 discs in a small box and a note on execution of do not on 32-bit win...

    I am in my box of CS3 and it's about 2 feet in length and textbooks are dog-eared and well used...

    So I called bead, and they said they would be happy to sell me a bunch of training... They no longer understand manuals with their products.

    Really? No manuals?  Now, I have to spend another $ 500 on textbooks?

    I am very disappointed... Will need to maybe just return... At least I know how to work CS3...

    No one understands more dead tree books. PDF files are available online, and I think that they are included on the DVD as well.

    I live in Czech Republic, Central Europe. We have one of the best in Europe's contactless payment structure. As soon as this month in my country, banks are the release of applications for the Android platform (since they have an open NFC API) that pretty much everyone can link their bank account to a phone with NFC and pay with it in a few seconds.

    I have always supported Apple and I'm loving my iPhone 6 Plus with my new Apple Watch. But since I only paid not a small sum of money for this devices and "Apple pays" is a large part of their feature set, that I would like to ask you what is the motivation of locking down the APIs of NFC (?) When Apple cannot deliver Apple pay and I have absolutely no interest in many European countries.  Even the younger Samsung pay is already ready for payments worldwide.

    It is a huge limitation for me and many other people here and in other countries, very angry about this.

    I didn't want my first post to be like this, but I had no choice!

    Nov. 2014

    I bought my iPhone 6 and 16 gb and they gave me one year factory warranty. my phone started having a few problems in 10 months.

    August 2015

    I went to the apple store and they said "it's a common problem with 6 more" spent with a new 6 more since my warranty still good... as costume designer for more than a decade, it wasn't a big problem for me because I love I phone and I think that his greatest phone ever.

    my phone doesn't work for some reason, and nobody seems to know what happened. I don't know there is no water damage or other damage that I went to the apple store. the person who worked there said "since my warranty has expired they will not be able to help us!" and advised me to buy the new phone. I called apple 1-800 number and I've been waiting for 1 hour and 28 minutes, and someone hung up!

    I have a contract with my operator for 2 years

    so I still pay monthly payments for a phone not working again!

    so, I'm the loser here!

    Yes, it seems more unfair. This is a user to user forum. The best I can recommend is possibly ask for a Manager in the store do not settle the first genius you get.  If there is documentation in the service record of apples, you can have a better chance. If not out of warranty is out of warranty.
