Disc stuck inside of the notebook - Pavilion 17-e110dx (F9L87UAR #ABA)
Hello-
I have a Pavilion 17-e110dx (F9L87UAR #ABA), running Windows 8.1. Today, I put a DVD in my optical drive and when I heard it turns, I ejected the drive, but the drive is now stuck to the INSIDE of my computer... Please help! The Player opens and closes without any problem... where's my drive? How can I safely remove the optical drive in order to take out the drive? I don't want to damage the disc, because it contains irreplaceable photos.
Also - I bought this laptop a month ago, refurbished and it is still under warranty.
Thank you!
It must always be inside the optical drive. It is a closed box. Turn the laptop on the back, open the service Bay and search a single screw with an icon of DVD player next to him. Remove the screws and the DVD player should slide out of the chassis with a little help by behind with a flat blade screwdriver. Pages 47-49 in this manual shows how.
Once the disc is out of the chassis, you can use the pin hole to open it with a folded-out paperclip. Completely open and you should be able to see the drive in there to remove it.

U400 - cd stuck inside the car
I have a cd stuck inside the slot in the drive. By pressing the ejection will hear the sound of the player moving the thing, but the drive did not just get out. What should I do?
Thank you all for the suggestion. Somehow, I managed to take out the drive by sheer luck. I found that the disc is a bit twisted and that like most is the reason why it got stuck. It's a lesson for me to carefully check the physical condition of a disc before putting in any drive slot-loading!

I have a disc stuck in my computer. The drawer WILL come out, but the disc is stuck inside the computer somewhere and isn't in the drawer. Help, please. Thank you.
As far as I can tell the screw you are looking for is in the location where memory is (see figure). If you intend to review, make sure that you unplug the computer AND take out the battery

Pavilion Notebook-13-b203tu: best practices for the notebook support
GDay,
I just bought the new pavilion notebook and read it work on the user manual: "the computer does not use the battery when the computer is connected to an external electrical outlet with a certified power adapter or a device of mooring/extension option." (hapter 6 p36)
I would have my battery for laptop in good health and live longer than possible, my quest is that I have to unplug the AC adapter when the battery indicator displays 100% when charging using the laptop? or just leave the AC adapter plugged in, as it is stated on the manual.
Thaks a lot.
Hello
All smart batteries and chargers are smarter than we thought. When disconnecting the power supply, use the battery and at the end of the day battery needs charge cycles more.
My comments (I mentioned several times on this forum): leaving batteries and machines 24/24 on the AC at the end of two years, their batteries are much better than the ones pluged/disconnected every day.
I hope this helps.

The HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC: Output mode no 'sleep'
So, I'm having a problem that seems to have just started today, out of nowhere, where my laptop seems to not want to exit the mode 'sleep'.
So here's how the question is: If the laptop is forgotten, you know, idle for a while, the screen goes black. I'm used, that's just what I think, is sleep mode, never really learned the term appropriate for that, I just call it sleep. Can be standby. But anyway, it's the normal thing when the screen goes black after a short period of inactivity. Normally simply move the mouse or something will do the screen to come back and it's good.
But, just today, I'm having a problem where the screen is not. There's just black, and I've had it happen twice up to now (back to back); Once when I closed the laptop and once where I was left alone for a while. In both cases, when I got home to try and 'wake up', the power button light on it stops flashing and becomes solid (normal that when you wake up the computer), but the screen remains black.
Now both times I was able to get the display normal return but a hard, just reboot by pressing the power button. But of course, as it happened a second time, who offered no permanent change. And I checked "hybrid sleep" or something else, and it is turned off. So I don't know what's going on, or why he began so suddenly.

What is Bluetooth come installed in the HP Pavilion dv5-1160us notebook?
My HP Pabilion is a few years old, and I always thought that was pre-installed Bluetooth capabilities, in-house.
But I just tried to pair it with my phone (never had to try to do this before) and I'm starting to wonder if Bluetooth was never there all along.
There are Bluetooth settings listed in the control panel and the option 'Add a wireless device', but it does not see my phone, when I try to pair it.
And Bluetooth is not listed in the HP Wireless Assistant, or the Windows Mobility Center.
Any help? I'm starting to feel a little silly...P.S. This thread has been moved from the Notebook - slate/Tablet PC, Armada, LTE for laptops - pavilions, Presario, HP ProBook, EliteBook, Compaq. -Hp moderator of the Forum
The Specs page for your model does not list a Bluetooth adapter. Under the section only the Intel Wireless adapter wireless connectivity is indicated.

Recovery and system recovery disks don't work is not on the MS213 Pavilion (All in One)
Hello
I ordered the HP recovery discs as F11 will not work. I got 4 disks with one separated from the others. He said "use this first! The other 3 were combined, and they are marked the system recovery and disc 1 of 3, 2, 3 and so on. I restart the computer with the disk that says use this first. The disc starts to load and says loading files of Windows, or somehting like that. Then he said: Windows startup. I don't get the Recovery Manager menu. After a few seconds it ejects the disc, and there are 3 pictures on the screen, at the top left is like a circle with a check mark in it. With an arrow, it points to an ejected drive of a computer image on the disc tray. And it points to a picture of a computer with 3 drives. It seems that he tells me to put in the next disc. I put in one that is graduated from 1 to 3, the light on the drive flashes, and then nothing happens, regardless how long wait. If, instead of starting with the disk that says this first use, I start with the one who said that 1 of 3, after loading Windows files, it says something like "this disc is not for this computer.
System information:
HP Pavilion MS213 all-in-one
Windows 7 64 bit
Configuration of stock
Background:
It is a friend's computer. She was making a mistake "code purple" with the resumption of F11. She had someone watching and I don't know what they were doing, but when I got it, I was getting an error at startup. somehting like cannot find the Boot...
I found a commercial version of Win 7 64 bit standalone disc and installed on the machine. It runs great, but it had to be for troubleshooting only, until I have the recovery disks.
So, I'm stuck and would appreciate any help. I thought initially upgraded to Windows 8, but I thought that the recovery disks will be cheaper, and also the friend doesn't have to go through the inclination of windows 8.
I will be happy to provide more information if necessary.
If you can read the license key Microsoft Windows 7 of 25 characters related to the machine, you can download a Windows 7 ISO file to burn to a DVD. Remember, it is the version that is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker.
