Disc Winddows Xp does not just start?

Hi guys.

I have a question: I have a portable Satellite L305D and I have Windows Vista right now, but want to switch to XP.

Whenever I try to boot in the BIOS menu, that it starts to load all the files and then bam it says this disk could be potentially dangerous for your computer, so to better prevent this problem, the system stops. Then I tried this portable Xp on another computer and it works beautifully.

So, if someone could find out how to fix this please. Thank you.

I don't know what other laptop you have, but if you have old model designed for Windows XP Home edition, I believe you that there is no problem.
New laptops are designed for Vista and have all the SATA HDDs inside. For a successful installation of Windows XP Home edition, you must load SATA driver prior to installing Windows XP Home edition.

On this forum we discussed this theme, I think, in more than 100 threads.
What version of Windows XP Home edition, you try to use (SP1, SP2, or SP3)?

    Hello

the link is still present? If so, right-click on the shortcut and tell what program or the name of the program is linked. Maybe we can find something to take home your recovery disk creator.

You know, that sounds really weird that a program always disappears after reinstalling the burning program sonic. Maybe it s just a special option or something that needs to be enabled.

  • Creative cloud does not automatically start more

My creative cloud application does not automatically start more. It worked fine for a year and a half.
But although the box in preferences to start automatically is checked that it does not automatically start more.
It does not appear in the system tray I must maualy double click the CC (which i put my office op) to start.

I also had a solution ad put a CC shortcut in the windows startup plan but he strangely disappears each time.

After I dubble click on the strats of application up normally and everything works fine, so no problems with programs or the application of cc
It was simply not possible box Autostart to highest upward. I use windows 8.1

Unfortunately this did not help either. What I did then, I unchecked the box run at startup and put a shortcut in the Windows startup folder. Since then, (3 days ago), he continues to work. Hope it stays like that.

  • Windows 8 disc locked; It does not start at the home screen, will not auto repair and doesn't give me access to safe mode

Nightmare; perfectly working windows 7 64-bit configuration I upgraded (stupidly) to Windows 8 (it seems installing a 32-bit version for my troubles). I installed a driver for a having previously worked USB WiFi adapter (that is, it was working fine before the upgrade) and now it does not start. It says "irql less than equal", says his collection of information and restarts to a kind of repair mode, none of the options which work because he complains that the hard drive is locked. Any attempt to start in SafeMode (SHIFT + F8) fails, with mnode security options panel shows ever in service options. Really, a very incomplete piece of software - I should know better than to install version #1 what whatsoever.

Suggestions for moving forward? No, I don't have a record of victory 8 because I updated my installation of windows 7 perfectly work in updating online.

Simple repair that has worked for me.

If you have a windows install disc (if you borrow 1 from a friend)

run the disk at startup, press on f9 to choose cd rom as boot, press a key when it asks you,

Let the disc to the refreshment of startup repair section, choose Advanced & go to the command prompt and type.

    Bootrec.exe

    Bootrec/fixmbr

    Bootrec.exe/fixboot

    Bootrec.exe/RebuildBcd

When all this is over, it will show that your o/s and the reader don't worry if it shows as D instead of C, it is because the system resource use C at this point, it will ask you if you want to add this player to your startup type Y and your good to go, your old win 8 will draw upward as it did before spread the word.

  • Delete or remove the disc hard which does not exist

Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit, all updates have been made.  Explorer > computer > drives shows disk space (q) but no other info like x GB free y GB, and there is no box with a blue line.  "By clicking on the disc (q) Local triggers an error box ' there is no location: Q:\ is not accessible.  Access is denied. »

In looking at Start > computer > Manage > storage > Disk Management (q) does not appear while all other disks are listed.

With the help of Jv16 Power Tools 2014 to search the drive (q) it just says "Directory does not exist."

    Digging further, I found the registry under HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices\ watch? \VOLUME{ff00752d-F6E4-11E2-853d-002564e38f71}

That same volume appears in hundreds of Warning Messages in the start menu > computer > Manage > system tools > event viewer > Windows Logs > request as a VSS 12348 warning.  In some cases there are two second VSS in the same warning messages.

How to fixed the problem?  Fictitious (q) hard drive may be removed or deleted?  The registry entry should be deleted?  My guess is that a program is trying to access all mounted devices that triggers the VSS warning.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    dax1792:

Thank you very much, the problem disappeared after the reference, but with a slight difference.  I have been using Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium for a few months.  Looking at the Uninstall list, I found three ad for Microsoft Office, two for the 2010 version.  I uninstalled both versions 2010 and everything is fine now.  The Q drive disappeared.

    Thanks again.

  • Windows recovery disc 8 (64) does not

I have a HP Pavilion (2223nr) g7 Win8 64-bit running. Some registry files have been damaged, and my restore points are missing. After trying everything I knew how, I ordered HP recovery discs. But they do not work. I'd rather do a refresh rather than wipe everything, but when he asks than drives and I put them in, it says "invalid recovery media" and does not go further.

Also, I checked the other posts similar to this, and nothing works for me. I even tried to do a full restore, refresh/recovery of boot (with f11), etc. Nothing seems to work. Does not seem related material. Everything worked fine until I tried to uninstall some adware using AdwCleaner. It failed and began to happen strange things: few applications have shown in Control Panel to uninstall programs, the computer wouldn't start for a while, shortcuts stopped working, tiles have disappeared, some programs were always installed, but couldn't be found, etc..

Why the HP recovery discs would not work (I'm sure I gave them good serial number)? And if I am finally able to do a full restore, I'll be able to get MS Office back (I have the license key, but not disks)? Is - included in the 'application and Driver Recovery DVD?

Well, I received including this one. Apparently the recovery disks, they sent me work as a single parameter. I was going through the options listed in the menu 'f11' to try for a refreshment or a full recovery. Instead, I should have read the instructions and you press "esc". The instructions on the disk are absolutely not working: "insert the disk into the optical drive of your computer and follow the on-screen instructions.» Made me no hand.

However, there was a sheet of paper that I should have paid attention to what is come with the drives. He gave the same instructions listed here (thanks, MathewT). I still don't know about ghosts discs that claim to give you the opportunity to refresh your computer without losing the files.

And thanks, but no thanks to HP and the 83 people who resembled this post while I thought about it. I hope that I have never post here again.

  • Dell Inspiron does not fully start

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 s with Windows Vista Home Basic. Last fall I had restored it and after that, it worked perfectly until about 2 months ago. After that I turned on the computer, it goes to the Dell logo, as usual, and then after that, it gives me a message saying press F1 to continue. I would tap it, then he would show a black screen with a flashing underscore. After a while it would not boot as usual. Recently, when underscore no longer blinks, he asked no longer to start as usual. It gives me a message saying that no boot device is discoverable and press ENTER to try again. I'll enter, but the same message arrives. I'll have to then turn off and on and keep pressing F1 until she FINALLY begins. With the changeover days, it takes more time and more time so that it can start and enter the Windows logo. I'm afraid that one day, it just won't start. I tried and tried looking for my problem but I don't know what it is. One popular response that came was my CMOS battery may go dead. So, I went and bought this past weekend. That didn't solve it. It still does start all the way. I also can't access the Menu ahead of time by pressing F8. I notice that rarely my computer will lead me to the Boot Manager to start upward on its own and from there I can start Windows normally and it starts without a problem. But I don't know how get you to this page manually. By pressing the bar space does not either. If I keep just press these keys, my computer makes a noise clicking / beep and nothing more. I was also wondering if a restore factory could get rid of this problem and make it again fresh. But again, one of the conditions for a factory restore is to disable and press F8 for Advanced Options and he won't be on the menu for me. So I'm stuck pretty well.

Overall, my problem is that my computer initializes more normally. I have to keep turning market until he finally gives in which case it can take hours. I desperately need help. I hope that I was fairly accurate. My computer is no longer under warranty and I can't afford any premium or other security package. Please, it's my only computer, and that's all what I have to work with. Thank you.

    Hello

A computer is supposed to make a single "beep" at startup.

If that in fact more than one, this indicates a hardware problem.

You will need to go to the Dell website and know what BIOS that you have in your computer model.

Then check in these links 'beep' error codes know what hardware has problems.

  • Muse does not just after the launch of the program

I recently bought Adobe CC, and I try to set everything up. All programs seem to work, with the exception of Adobe Muse CC 2014 on my desktop, it seems to work fine on my laptop, however.

I run the program via a shortcut on the desktop that is related to the "Muse.exe" file in my directory of Adobe's Muse. The program launches and goes through the initial loading screen that all the programs before the interface adobe user opens without any problem. He then gets to the homepage where it says create, new features, Ect... and the Welcome screen never loads, there's just white, and moments later the program will then is unresponsive. The only way to close the program is through the Task Manager and ending the program.

I try to run the program on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit Service Pack 1, 16 GB ram, Intel Core i7 2600K, NVidia GTX 580.

So far, I signed out/in grace to the application cloud creative to try to reset my login. I thought that maybe it just has not activated properly, how ever when I reconnected and launched Muse he asked me to check my login and then started the program with exactly the same problem. Then, I uninstalled the program and reinstalled and rebooted the computer without success. Then, I updated all the Windows updates, verified that the firewall is not blocking the program and then restarted my computer several times, which does not solve the problem. Then, I disabled my antivirus and turned off the firewall and attempted to launch without success.

At this point I don't know what to do, I find it strange that every other single program launches properly with the exception of the Muse. Y at - it a specific update, I'm missing somewhere? Is their some other software or update, I need to start the Muse? Does anyone else have this problem? Help...

    Gaurav.Sharma - Muse CC (2014)

I got the program working well, how ever it was especially by accident. I left him unresponsive open the program by accident and after about 15 minutes, I received an error message of timeout of script that displayed. He asked if I wanted to stop the execution of the script and I clicked Yes. After clicking Yes, the Welcome screen again would show not do anything, but I could now close the screen of welcome and access Muse. I closed the program, then reopened to see if the problem occurs again, and he did. Once more, I waited 15 minutes, got the script timeout error, stopped the script and could then access Muse again. This time, I consulted the Preferences screen and then disabled the Welcome screen on start up. Yet once again, I closed and reopened the Muse, however this time Muse started instantly.

The home screen is not important for me, and I honestly don't care if it appears when I run the program, how ever I am curious to know why I have a problem with the Welcome screen on only the program of Muse. All other welcome screens seem to work perfectly well.

The scratch disk is any hard disk, you have set up in the preferences on which Photoshop Elements written and keeps things in the temporary memory. This temporary memory is where Photoshop Elements saves the information to allow you to make an approach cancel, restore and history as well as a few other things. The less RAM (Random Access Memory), you have the most scratch disk will take a hit.

I'm enjoying this error means that whatever you have configured as a scratch disk is full, not available or there is no road.

First, check and make sure that your hard disk is not full. You don't say what operating system other than Windows. If Vista, click on the computer and see how much free space is left on your drive c. If your C drive is not complete, jump down to the paragraph in bold which starts by "assuming that there are a lot of space on your C drive... »

If your hard drive is full, you will need to make decisions on the files to keep or delete. Start going to use cleaning installation disk and deleting temporary files. Alternatively, you can consider running Disk Defragmenter, especially if you don't use on a regular basis. You might also consider buying an external hard drive... to place some of these files that you clutter your hard drive. If you move your photo files, you will also need to connect those to the organizer can find them.

Assuming that there is a lot of space on your C drive, reset your Photoshop Elements preferences. It will happen the C drive the disc scratching because it's the default. (If you have it currently set to a drive that does not exist or, possibly, an external hard drive that can not be plugged in and turned on or is full.) You should not implement an external drive as a hard drive in any way. Also do not set your backup as a scratch no disc drive more... usually it is D... that the partition is too small).

  • Portege R30 does not SSD start after upgrade SSD and HDD

    Hello

I have improved my Portege R30 - A to add a second SSD (Crucial M550) replace the optical with the new SSD drive with caddy.

But now the system does not start automatically from the original SSD.

I could press F12 while turning on my laptop and make it appear the start guide. Here I can see my original SSD and I can boot from it properly.

In order to boot in the BIOS, I see only the HDD/SSD, USB, ODD memory... It doesn't gives me the possibility to choose between SSDS.

In any case when I boot in this way than getting blue screens after awhile in win7.

I tried to install a HARD drive as the second drive instead os SSD and her resut is the same.

Is that what I can do to solve this, now I have to use the second drive as an external USB drive.

    Thank you

    Hello

This ODD of SSD/HDD replacement is not always possible and in many cases, the BIOS will not handle and will not recognize the new HARD disk correctly.

That I can remember some old laptops Toshiba Tecra and Portege that supported the functionality of Slim Select Bay were able to manage the 2nd HARD drive instead of driving WEIRD, but this was not possible due to the available selection slim Bay.

In your case it looks like the laptop so that the BIOS does not support this function and, therefore, the additional SSD/HDD isn't recognised correctly.

  • T400 does not then start on battery

Title really sums it up. 3-year-old T400 starts fine while on the current, but on the power of the battery, no lights come on or anything when I press the power button. Initially, I thought it was the battery, but the new battery 9-cell, I ordered has not changed anything.

When I open the power manager, it is said that the battery 6 cells of origin has 0.0 amps and 11 V. said the same thing about the battery 9 cells. I'm willing to bet against Lenovo me sending a flat battery, but everything is possible. I tried to uninstall the power manager and resettlement; same thing. I tried to reset the battery CMOS/backup. The only thing I have not tried is a restoration of the BIOS. Currently, using the version 3.22.

    System Specs:

    T400 w / T9400 processor and switchable graphics

    Win7 x 64 Pro

Any suggestions would be very helpful. I would call Lenovo support, but most of what I found on CIHI points for them not being is not useful unless you are under warranty (which I am not).

    Thank you.

If cleaning does not work, then your laptop motherboard is most likely the culprit.

  • Vista does not always start cleanly

I'm trying to help my friend to a problem with his Dell Inspiron 530 computer.  The computer running all day but she she stops during the night.  After a series of updates, the computer would need a "repair" or restore.  Repair worked. The interesting thing here is that sometimes the system starts properly and other times it's not.  When I went to check, it starts perfectly every time. She's frustrated.  I love Vista and have had similar problems on my computer laptop but resolved.  Any ideas? I tried to compare the information of updating my laptop on his desk but my laptop is older than 3 months and I didn't have time to check each number.
    Thank you

    Hi azcoop33,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forums.

Be you please perform a clean boot on your system to see if that helps to clear up the problem that you are experiencing?

Here are the steps on how to perform a clean boot on your system:

First step: perform a clean boot

    1. sign your computer with an administrator account.

    2. click on start.

    3. type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

    4. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    5. in the general tab, click Selective startup, and then click to clear the check box load startup items.

    6. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.

    * NOTE: Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    7. click OK and then click on restart.

Second step: enable half the services

    1. start the System Configuration utility. Refer to the steps above if you need to see how to do this.

    2. click on the Services tab and then click to select the skin all the Microsoft services checkbox.

3 click to select half of the check boxes in the Service list.

    4. click OK and then click on restart.

Step 3: determine whether the problem returns

If the problem persists, repeat the first stage and the second stage. In step 2, click to clear half of the check boxes that you have initially enabled in the Service list.

If the problem does not occur, repeat the first stage and the second stage. In the second step, select only half of the remaining check boxes that are cleared in the Service list. Repeat these steps until you have selected all the check boxes.

If only one service is selected in the list of services, and you the problem persists, the service selected the cause of the problem. Go to sixth step. If no service is causing this problem, go to step 4.

Step 4: enable half of the startup items

Perform a clean boot by repeating step 1.

Click the Startup tab, and then click to select half of the check boxes in the startup item list.

Click OK and then click on restart.

Step 5: determine whether the problem returns

If the problem persists, repeat the first step and the fourth step. In step 4, click to clear half of the check boxes that you have originally selected in the startup item list.

If the problem does not occur, repeat the first step and the fourth step. In the fourth step, select only half of the remaining check boxes that are cleared in the startup item list. Repeat these steps until you have selected all the check boxes.

If only one startup item is selected in the startup item list, and you still experience the problem, start selected in the list element is the service that is causing the problem. Go to sixth step.

If no startup item causes this problem, a Microsoft service most likely the cause of the problem. To determine which Microsoft service may be causing the problem, repeat the first stage and the second stage without selecting the skin all the box Microsoft services at every step.

    Step 6: resolve the problem

After you determine the startup item or the service that is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved. Or, run the System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box of the element of the problem.

    Step 7: solve the problem

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click on start

    2. type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

    3. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    4. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    5. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
