Disconnected Ribbon plastic

When I was cleared a paper inside my HP Office Jet 6500 E709n jam, I somehow now have a disconnected plastic Ribbon that I need to reconnect.  I can't find a diagram inside my printer or instructions on how and where to reconnect this Ribbon plastic.  Any help would be appreciated.  I don't want to take the printer to a repair shop I don't have to.

The following assumes that you can easily move the carriage to the Center.  If it is locked Please let me know and I will consider how to unlock.

The steps are rather involved.  Take your time and do not force anything.  Open the lid and gently move the transport to the Center.  If the transport is stuck to the right stop, leave me a message.  Wash and dry your hands before you start the process.  Coding Strip has thousands of tiny lines that are used to position the transport, you do not want leave any residue on the Strip or damage marks.

Take a close look at the coding Strip.  At one end is a point, at the other end is a triangle and two smiling faces. When installed properly the point will be on the left side and the triangle and the smiley face will be on the right side.  Look at the following picture, it shows the coding Strip, mounted on the right side.  The right has a spring, but it has a very short range of motion.   Take a look at the right side of the printer (using a flashlight) and locate the rectangular hole where the coding Strip attaches.  [Note: I put a card index behind the encoder to improve the contrast of the image...]

Then look up the transport.  There are small rectangular holes of each side that the encoder is screwed through.   The photo below shows the encoder entering the right side of the cart.  Locate the holes on both sides and get acquainted with them.

The third picture is the left side.  Tang metal that the encoder will connect is hard to see.  It is a small metal protrusion (maybe 1/16 ") that points to the left side of the printer.  Use a flashlight to familiarize yourself with the flavor that you connect eventually to.  As practice try to hang the MICR band to the tab on the left side, then disconnect it.

The image below is a bulk of the flavor of that coding Strip will connect, I stuck a small piece of cardboard behind it.

OK now, indeed, we will perform the fix.  Pick up the strip of coding and orient it properly, smiley face on the right.  Thread the encoder through the slots of transport.  This can be difficult to thread through everything right and come out the other side and don't have no kinks.  Gently pull the encoder back and make sure it moves freely.

We then attach the encoder for spring on the right side.  Once the encoder has been attached on the right side maintain slight pressure on it to prevent it from becoming disconnected.

Now let's complete the process by attaching the remaining end on the left side gently. It will be a little difficult.  I would say the truck is right to do so out of the way.  Now, grab the MICR band, gently then she so approximately 1/8 "extends into the hole and hang it on the tail.  It took me a few minutes to do this, take your time.

OK, now it's complete, but we will check a few things before put us under tension.  Move the carriage to the Center and look at the coding Strip happening in transportation.  Make sure that the coding is roughly centered in the rectangular opening for the transportation as shown on the picture of transport above.  Also check that the transport can move freely from one side to the other.

We are now ready for the moment of truth.  Close the lid and plug the printer back in and turn it on.  If it works fine, click on some of the 'Kudos stars' left.  If this isn't the case, please let me know what you see error messages.  You may need to run a cleaning cycle to clear the print head, since the print head will have been capped for a prolonged period of time.

  • ... Is the 'Ribbon' in the LaserJet Pro supposed to be folded to research?

    Hello

I just got a new HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175 (model number M175nw) at Future Shop, January 6.  I followed all the instructions and unpacked everything as carefully as possible.  I noticed that when I opened the top this 'Ribbon' on the left corner between the top and the bottom of the unit there... I don't really know how to explain it, so I will attach a few photos here.  In any case that Ribbon plastic is a bit twisted, but the printer works fine.  I would like to know if this is normal or if I should be concerned about it.  This ends up affecting the operation of my MPF?  Please let me know.  Thank you.

    Hello

Sorry you stumbled on this, if the printer does not work I would too be concerened but I certainly call hp and let them know this number espeically if you just bought, I would hate for the ribben to break prematurely any additional wear. IMO, there is no reason that ribben should be as twisted as it is.

  • Removal of the unknown connector

Hey all, computer illiterate colleagues, trying an old DV6000 for my POP of reflow. Got the computer of any dismantled, but not for the life of me, I can get these two disconnected ribbons.

I thought that the white plastic pieces would slip in the direction of Ribbon, but they don't really seem to want to do. After considerable time trying I gave up and decided to ask for help.

I'm doing something wrong? These are just typical but extremely stubborn ZIF connectors? If so, should I simply muscular white plastic parts off the Ribbon? Is there some secret I'm not aware of here?

Don't want to break anything. Thank you!

    Dmnd welcome.

There is no latches to remove or slide.

The one that I got a small crease in the cable just before the connector.

I pulled on the crease and removed in this way.

Use the fold to push back in. 'tight '.

  • Please help with Photosmart Premium C309a... A lot of mistakes!

    Hello world

So this basically everything has started about 8 hours ago... I feel something and he said all of a sudden there was a problem with my print head, it took me about 2 hours of cleaning and resetting the printer over and over again, and I was finally able to get it fixed. Then I had a paper jam and all pulling the paper jam, I accidentally pulled the Ribbon plastic, it took me 4 hours to fix this. So now these two are fixed, and I put my printer together again (I had to take part to fix the plastic Ribbon), and all of a sudden it says the ink cartridge access door is open... WHAT? ... well, it's 3:00, I just want to see if my plastic Ribbon works correctly, so I stuck a q-tip inside the hole that tells the printer the door is closed. NOW... I get error 0xc19a0025... "Please turn printer market again..." I've done several times, nothing changes. I unplugged the printer to the back to the wall, etc. I'm out of options. The strange thing is that this has never happened before. I never even got a paper jam (unless I was two-sided printing, which is a big no, no for this printer for some reason any). I need help, I rely on my printer every day and now he thinks that my door is open and when it isn't, something just seems to go wrong. Please someone give me a solution

Thank you for your answer, but I gave up and decided to buy a new printer. I called HP and they said that they could offer me the 7520 cheap, so I went ahead and took the case. They also told me that my printer was most likely a hardware problem and that it would cost more to repair than to buy a new printer, that's why I decided to give up and buy a new one. It lasts me since 2009, so we had a good race. I hope that the next is even better. Thanks for your good help.

  • HP 3050 has: only want to print in black

I want to print in black only.  My color inks are very low, my almost full black ink.  How can I do this?

The Deskjet 3050 a printer print (but not copy) with just the black cartridge installed as indicated on page 30 of the manual here.  Store the removed color as shown in the paper here.

    Use single-cartridge

Use single-cartridge use the HP all-in-one with only one cartridge. Mode single-cartridge begins when an ink cartridge is removed from the distribution of the print cartridge. In the mode single-cartridge, the product can only printing from the computer.

NOTE: When the HP all-in-one device operating in mode single-cartridge, a message appears on the screen. If the message appears and two ink cartridges are installed in the product, make sure that the piece of plastic tape protection was removed from each print cartridge. When the Ribbon plastic covers of the print cartridge contacts, the product cannot detect the cartridge is installed.

    Exit single-cartridge

Install two ink cartridges in the HP all-in-one to exit single-cartridge.

  • Photosmart 7520 (new) Auto Doc feeder does not work screaming loud noise.

I just bought this new in box of a second party.  He was obviously nine original bag/Ribbon plastic on the entire unit.  Everything works fine but the car doc feeeder on power unit it is that loud screetching noise sounds like there is always a piece of tape somewhere.  I looked everywhere in TI lifted lids etc.  I had several hp printers and scanners with feeders doc auto know so well.  When you try to use the doc feeder it will move a few short clicks then paper error anyway inseterted, when I click to start a second or third time it advances once again very shortly.  I am handy with tools, etc.. Any suggestions?  Maybe it's under warranty even though I'm not 'original '?

    Thank you

    Stem

    Hey Capt-Rod,

It is quite possible that the printer is under warranty. It is not based on the buyer, but according to the serial number of the printer. Please, either use the following link. Check your product warranty or call HP.

If you are in the Canada, U.S. dial 800-474-6836 or you can Contact HP worldwide.

From your description, it seems that you have done the troubleshooting necessary, but please plan to take a look at the following link. HP Photosmart 7520 e-all-in-one printer series - when using the ADF, one "original jam: clear jam and press OK' Message displays on the all-in-one."

You will find a not just yet, you will need to complete and could very well solve the problem.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Pavilion DV8T-1200: HP Quick Launch buttons going haywire... Anyway... in 2016

There is just a follow-up of all posts of 2010 and 2011, I have still a dv8t-1200 and I scoured the internet for a way to disable completely the keys to quick launch on my dv8t as static or whatever it is driving me crazy, and I will just buy a wireless adapter external if I need to.

I heard someone post briefly how you can disable everything somewhere, but you will lose your connection Wireless too... Do you know how to do this, because with a wifi usb device, I might be able to solve everything.

    Thank you

    OK, update:

I've unlocked the envelope of keyboard with led bar/quick launch keys and I unplugged the Ribbon on the buttons of the LED cable, and that definitely solved the problem...

New question.  What should I do with the disconnected Ribbon?  Should I type down or anything before the keyboard together?   (edit: for the ribbon cable packing tape works fine)

Thanks for possible solutions, but that was easy to do and the problem will be solved, and I don't like about LED bar features.

  • Stat of the system upward with the error: Exception Processing Message c0000013 parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bf7c

Original title: Getting a weird error message. Seems to be the floppy driver.

Hello. This problem everything seems to start when I changed my drive letters. Finally, I think it points to my floppy drive A.

I get these error messages when I start my computer. Windows tells me this: No. disc: "treatment of Message of Exception c0000013 parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bf7c". It happens about 8 or 9 times then goes away.

I have several internal hard drives, 2 optical drives, A floppy drive, a card reader and a printer. I decided to shift the drive letters down after hard drives since I have recently installed a dual-boot and needed earlier letters to the editor. The problems started before the dual-boot has been installed. Changed this example of drive letters: g-i, h-> j > I-> k, etc. The main readers have remained the same.

I uninstalled the floppy drive and the controller, Windows re - installed after re-booting of course.

I disconnected Ribbon floppy motherboard and the power supply. The messages stopped. I then uninstalled the floppy drive and the controller in Device Manager. I reconnected it A floppy Ribbon and power, loaded windows reinstalled the drivers and then gave me the error emssages once again.

I have a DVD of Windows XP Home Edition 32 bit SP3. Telling me to do a repair isn't the best idea, because nobody has explained how it works. When the DVD goes in the car or at the start: there is no repair function.

    Thank you.

If you don't see a message like this:

No disk, Exception Processing Message c0000013 parameters 75b6bf7c 475b6bf7c 75b6bf7c

Until you can determine what the 'real' problem is with your hardware, you can disable the pop-up message by making a registry adjustment.

Before making changes to the registry, back up your registry with this free and easy to use tool popular:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/ERUNT.html

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Regedit

Click OK to open the registry editor, navigate to the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows

In the right pane, check the value of the ErrorMode setting.

If ErrorMode is set to 0, double click on ErrorMode and set 2 (2 = disabled).

Click OK to save the changes, and then click file, exit to close the registry editor.

Reboot your system and check the things now.

2 to the parameter ErrorMode stops at pop - up message but still material error log in the Event Viewer log.

  • OfficeJet 4635 or want 5661: printing in black and white, scale to gray, but WITHOUT color cartridge, or dead-dried-up color

I almost always (more than 100% of the time) print out text B & W, duplex, 2-up.  my old HP PSC 1315 works very well with a drying cartridge, using only black ink color.  but it's send me paper transport problems, carrying across multiple pages and ruin my impression sequence.

I am considering the 4635 Officejet or all in one Envy 5661.   two of them prints my way, WITHOUT requiring that I have a liquid color cartridge loaded (much less actually need that I use color ink)?

    Thank you

6551 envy may print as a "single-cartridge" mode with the color (or black) cartridge, completely washed out as described on page 52 of the manual here:

    Use single-cartridge

Use single-cartridge use the HP ENVY 5660 series with only one cartridge. Mode single-cartridge begins when an ink cartridge is removed from the distribution of ink cartridges. Mode single-cartridge, the printer can copy documents, copy pictures and printing from the computer.

NOTE: When the HP ENVY 5660 series operating in mode single-cartridge, a message appears on the printer screen. If the message appears and two ink cartridges are installed in the printer, make sure that the piece of plastic tape protection was removed from each ink cartridge. When the Ribbon plastic covers the ink cartridge contacts, the printer cannot detect the cartridge is installed.

The Officejet 4635 lists similar features on page 77 here user guide.  The Officejet 4635 does not explicitly say that it will copy with only one cartridge, it would be something to check if you choose this model. [In fact, may be a good thing to check with each model - the user guides are sometimes wrong...]

    Dell support,

    I have a problem with a laptop Vostro 3550.

When I turn on the laptop, it just is not started at all but it auto resarts at the same time, every 3 seconds, the screen is black.  The food, fan button, 3 buttons and also the front power indicator will flash during this period. Its the same thing happens when it's on battery and when the power cable is connected.

I did it while waiting for the following tests:

    1. remove the battery and the power cable and press the power button for 1 min and try to turn on.

2 remove the battery cmos for 10 min and make the procedure #1

    3. remove the memories RAM one by one and do the #1 procedure.

    4. measure the voltage on the connector of the power adapter (it was 19.3v)

    5. measure the voltage on the power circuit inside the laptop for any potential problems with the laptop on board power connector and it was ok.

    6. I checked all disconnected Ribbon or the cable, but everything was fine.

  • Broke the plastic connector that holds DVD Ribbon on the motherboard

    Hello

I got my new Alienware M14x open and looked at the DVD player when I accidentally broke the plastic connector that keeps the ribbon cable to the connection on the motherboard. This is the connector that holds the zero insertion force (ZFI) on the tablecloth.

It was a negligent act on my part, and I take responsibility.

Is it possible to buy this small plastic connector? I have no part number. I do not use my DVD player at all and looked out swapping for a HARD drive. To do this, I need the connector to the ribbon cable can be connected to the motherboard.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I managed to solve this problem without using the original part.

  • iPod Touch 5th Gen disconnects during synchronization

I can only assume that it is a question of OS.

The problem is that every time that I try to sync my iPod Touch a few seconds in the progression of synchronization

all my logout of devices USB (keyboard, mouse, iPod, etc.), then immediately reconnects, it happens only when I put my iPod Touch to sync.

    Things I've tried:

    -Reinstalled iTunes

    -Reset iPod

    -Restore the iPod

    -WiFi Sync (same result)

    -Restart the PC

-Moved to copy music from different HARD drives and SSD

    -Used 3rd party software

-Synced album by album instead of all at the time (longer works for a while, the synchronization of time more the chance of what happens)

One thing that I noticed but have no idea what to do with that when it happens, in case the Viewer, I get a specific error.

  • Aspire Switch 10 (SW5-011-18R3) Bluetooth pairs and disconnects

I have an Aspire Switch 10 (SW5-011-18R3) with Bluetooth connectivity question.

Already updated BIOS 1.06 and all windows updates of fact. Pairs of Bluetooth with other units and then disconnects after 15 seconds.

I have exchanged the Tablet for another brand new and same problem again.

Someone at - it one Aspire Switch 10 (SW5-011-18R3) with a similar problem?

I'm just checking if this is a widespread problem with the Aspire Switch 10 (SW5-011-18R3)

or extreme bad luck with 2 units I got.

Think about it, someone at - he sucks a 10(SW5-011-18R3) switch with a fonctioning fully Bluetooth?

Your last post made me think about the problem in a different way and I did some more poking in the system.

My goal was simple, being able to transfer files from one phone or another Tablet at the Aspire, and it was the problem because the connection was not the transfer did not follow.

I found the way to do it and also discovered that there may be some kind of problem of firmware or software with the device, but it can still be done.

    Solution:

    -Bluetooth must be turned on

-Pair of devices (matching initiated from Aspire), connection will not remain, but it does not matter

    -Go to the office

-Right click on icon (taskbar) Bluetooth and get the Ribbon options

--Select receive a file in the menu (new Panel opens)

-And send your file from your other device on the Aspire

Now, normally when you send a file to the Aspire, the Aspire should normally give you an alert that another device tries to connect or try to transfer a file, but it doesn't (even with the bluetooth settings correctly configured for notifications).

If essantially, unless you call system by opening this Panel "to receive the file", the simple system refuses all incoming traffic and does not give you an alert to authorize the transfer. It starts the transfer, but disconnects because there is no authorisation. Open the file 'receive' is used the permission and can proceed with the transfer.

Thank you for your contributions and especially for the last one which made me think the problem from a different angle.

  • broken zif plastic keyboard HDX 16

When you take hand my hdx, I managed to break a plastic connector for the keyboard that was on the motherboard. I still have the two parties, but in the half. Another thing is, even if it wasn't broken I see nothing on this part that would connect the Ribbon of the keyboard to the motherboard.

Of course, it's really about the only way to do it, but make sure the zif connector is here before buying it. And you must also be sure that nothing on your Board is broken as a new zif connector will not work correctly.
