Discordance between the DAQ rate Wizard and the dt output waveform

I use a NI 9239 to acquire analog input data. Using the DAQ Assistant, I put the N samples, 8 k samples read acquisition mode and the frequency of acquisition of 8 k. I wire the data output of the DAQ Assistant directly to an indicator of waveform.

I expect the dt for the waveform to be 0.000125. I have 0.000120, which is a rate of acquisition of 8333,333 Hz.

What I am doing wrong?

Thank you.

To read the 9239 specifications in order to answer your question. Focus on page 18/19.

Bonus tip:

You specify the MINIMUM for acquiring sampling frequency in the DAQ Assistant.

hope this helps,

  • Find the area between the axe of waveform and time

    Hello.

I have acquired a signal to 1ms rate. I recorded in a .lvm file, and now I want to calculate the area between the axe of waveform and time. So, it's a classic integral.

So, I create a .vi separated with a module for reading measurement, but I don't know which is the right module of integration, in this case. I tried all the modules to integrate to find the area, but no good result.

PS: I also want to display this area, hasurate, somehow, but it's secondary.

    Any idea?

For the first part, we should look at your code and data.

The second use the "Fill" option available for the plot which will fill in the specify box.

  • How can I impliment a delay between the analog output and analog input (started by an external analog trigger)?

I am acquiring several channels of analog voltage input at the same time, I need to send an output analog two seconds after the start of the entry.

I'm running an experience with accelerometers on a query table.
I start the trigger and the table remains still for two seconds, which allows a reference level for all sensors.
Then the output signal of the VI removes the break in the motor controller.
The speed measured by the encoder is sent to one of the input channels.

In this way, our accel and speed data are synchronized.

After it acquired the analog input data out put must be reset to zero.

  • Relationship between the samples through the second rate and sampling

I was wondering if someone could clarify the relationship between the samples through second rate and sampling.

I have USB6008 and USB6363 of the tips that I work with in Measurement Studio.

For the nec USB6008 entry differential (up to four channels of HAVE), if I put a sampling frequency to 8192 samples per second, and I updated 2048 samples per channel with:

    Task.Timing.ConfigureSampleClock ("", 8192, SampleClockActiveEdge.Rising, SampleQuantityMode.ContinuousSamples, 2048)

Am I right in assuming that:

    • through the 4 analog inputs 8192 samples will be collected every second
    • 2048 samples will be taken by way of analog input for each scan
    • The time between two successive data points is 1/2048 seconds (about 0.5 ms)

    Hi DKIMZEY,

The help page for the "Timing.ConfigureSampleClock method" should have a hypertext link to the page "Sample clock" in NOR-DAQmx help, that contains this text: "this sample clock sets the interval of time between samples. Each tick of the clock starts the acquisition or the generation of one sample per channel. "When the sample clock frequency is 8192, then the time between two successive data for a single channel is 1/8192 seconds. The time between the data points on two adjacent channels is controlled by the clock to convert, which can be controlled independently on most devices (up to a point).

  • How to write the rule to work on the difference between the rates of EOP and AVG & assign to the FCTRS account?

    Hi Expert,

First of all, thanks for reading my question...

I am new to HFM and need help with writing a rule to assign the difference between the end of the period (EOMRate) and (AVGRate) average for foreign translation account currency (FCTRS):

    Requirements of the rule:

    1. go to the base to all entities that are non-AUD (Parent entity is denominated in AUD)

    2. work on the difference between EOMRate and AVGRate rates

3 multiply the difference with the account of profit after tax (IE PAT)

    4. this amount should be included in the account of FCTRS (IE 9115)

Rule I wrote, who dislikes the HFM:

If HS. Entity.IsBase("","") = True and HS. Value.Member <>'AUD' then

    HS. Exp ' a 9115 # = a #PAT * difference ("AVGRate", "EOMRate").

    End If

    Hi Jeff,

I think you need to use the sub translate and do some additional calculations.

You can start by adding the translation of this rule in the sub and the system will calculate the difference: HS. TRANS 'movement of the target, Source movement, EOMRate, AVGRate. For the rest of the needs, just adapt the above rule...

  • Find the difference of pressure between the two transducers using a NI DAQ 6008

    Hello

First of all, I'm a relatively inexperienced LabVIEW Developer, so my apologies in advance if this message does not have something, or otherwise lacks clarity.

I try to develop a VI as follows the pressure difference between the 2 EME 3100 pressure sensors (4-20 my), related to two different pressure lines, using a NO-DAQ 6008. I would like for the acquisition of data to read the two transducers, then have him find VI the differential and write this differential in an Excel file.

The data sheet for these sensors may be found at: http://www.gemssensors.com/Products/Pressure/Pressure-Tranducers/Sputtered-thin-film/~/media/GemsNA/...  It is a 3-wire system, with a voltage between 8 - 24V. I use an external power supply of generic brand to power sensors, which provides a maximum of 24V @ 4A.

I drifted my physical connection (for the two transducers) this thread http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/I-am-having-trouble-Omega-PX4200-Pressure-Transducers-to-where-I/m-p... and am relatively certain of the accuracy of the information. For purposes of signal conditioning, I use a 500 Ohm resistor between the signal of each transducer and the Earth wire.  On the side of software, I use the latest version of LabVIEW (2011) as well as MAX on a Windows 7 64-bit machine.

In an ideal world, the sampling rate would be as high as possible, but 4 samples per second would suffice for all purposes useful.

Given this goal, are there any sample of VI (especially for MAX, which I have not yet used) who would be similar/applicable to this project, specifically, regarding setting a sampling frequency, calibration of the transducers or affecting the pins/channels appropriate? All resources would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

Measure the voltage between the two resistance (resistance by probe 4-20 MA) using the differential inputs of the x 600.

When you configure the task, you can read several entries at once, by entering in "Dev_ / AI0:1" in the physical channels and using the "several channels / {unique |}". multiple} samples"polymorphic instance.

    600 x can read 1kS/sec.

Do maths/conversions on the table, and then simply subtract the two tables.

Could also take some samples (10-100) at 1 kHz and their average together, give you a smaller rate effective sampling but with less noise.

A loop of producer-consumer would be good architecture here, let the daqmx reading live in a loop and sends the data via a queue to a 2nd consumer that performs mathematical operations and write to a file.

    Hello

As long as you have compatible connectors, SCSI cables will work DAQ of basic functions.  They have the advantage of NO cables is that we can meet our DAQ hardware.  So, we can create pairs twisted differential pairs to HAVE, using the ground for shielding terminals and generally specialize the cable to minimize noise and crosstalk.  Because the SCSI cables are not specialized, you are likely to see the most noise and, if you go the sampling rates more Rapids, crosstalk.  If you are in a laboratory or factory with a good amount of noise EMF that your readings are not quite as clean, or if you have fluorescent lights you might see 60 Hz noise you might not see otherwise.

If you want more details on the specifications of the SH68-68-EPM cable, I recommend these two articles.  The first example of the twisted pair and the principles of the SH cable shielding and the second gives the most precise specifications that you can compare with when looking for a SCSI cable.

  • How to measure the difference in time between the passage by zero of a sine wave and the rise time of a pulse on a same graphic?

I have a sine wave of 50 Hz and a pulse of the signal on the same chart. The difference in phase between the two is between 0-90 degrees.

Now I need to calculate the time difference between (when the sinusoidal wave passes through zero volts) and (when the pulse increases). The frequency will remain about even for the two signals.
