  I have a desktop computer of 490 HPE that I would like to upgrade memory and graphics card. I'm sure that memory needed but couldn't find a graphics card that I'm sure will work and will be the best / fastest possible for my unit.

  At the level of the BIOS of your PC of four 4 year, will limit your choice of graphics as well as the 460 Watt power supply card.  Specifications of your PC are listed here and several graphics, cards are listed.  The 460 NVIDIA is probably your best choice.

  Consult this publication of the article.  Open your PC and make a few measurements.  Do you have room for a large double map?

  I can't find a way to attract the attention of the bios on this brand new hp pavilion 490 t.

  If you use a wireless keyboard, and then try to switch to a directly connected USB keyboard if you have an additional keyboard.  I have the same mobo but I do not use a wireless keyboard.

  Remotely, there might be a bios timing issue given that your PC is very fast.  I ran into a similar problem with not being able to get F8 to work on the blue HP screen.

  One of my PC with the same motherboard your PC I did check the setting for virtualization in the bios and it is disabled by default.

  There is an excellent expert HP here for these types of questions that might be able to help with your problem if another keyboard does not work.  You can even try your keyboard to a different USB port.

  They seem to be more reliable and faster than the CD (less easily damaged).

  I didn't get it still works.   I have a CD of resumption of work,

  and I tried different recipes to make the USB drive.  I can get the

  USB stick boot, but as soon as you check the language option

  kick recovery system, a window appears which says that

  recovery disk is not for the version of Windows you are trying

  to repair.

  Someone at - it had more success thereby and know what

  the method of preparation on the right is?

  You can do this easily in two stages using two free programs - RUFUS and ImgBurn.

  Using ImgBurn, you create an ISO file from the disc that you created.

  Then, with RUFUS, you create a USB bootable from ISO file, that you have created.

  Try to remove the USB expansion card and then install again in the same dwelling and retest. If this does not help, try one of the other available PCIe slots.

  I make sure I start from a specific disk, but I want to have others activated for boot disks

  failure of this record preferred.   I can't figure out how to do what I want.  The devil is in the details.

  Details:

  I added some time ago, an SSD that starts and runs windows faster than any HDD.

  However, SSDS have their own problems of failure and it would be useful to have the internal drives

  able to boot also.    It is doable - but what happens then, so they are always preferred.

  This is not desirable.

  Internal drives are on ports SATA 1 & 2.

  The DVD is on port 3.

  The SSD is on port 4.

  The SSD to port 1 of switching seems to disable the USB 3.0 PCI card, because what either on USB 3.0

  ports, then disappears.  It's weird, but repeatable and not desirable at all.

  Displacement of the internal drives to port 4 is not important - the system always starts from the inside

  the SSD and the disks will be installed later.

  Messing with the BIOS doesn't seem to help.  It is on the side of the old (last update available in 2010?).

  BIOS does not appear supported for booting with USB - but the system boot from a USB device if it is installed-

  If nothing is set which is preferred.

  It does not seem possible to order disks or SATA ports to begin the purposes.

  It is possible to turn on/off disks SATA in the BIOS, but disable turns off completely: they appear at all.

  What do I want?  I want the favorite SSD.  I want a Windows installed on internal SATA HDDs if possible.

  In general, there are two options different 'command' you can set.

  It determines the sequence of boot devices - such that you can order one of the readers of diskettes, hard disks, USB drives, etc..

  The other determines the sequence of selection of hard drives - such that you can order your boot drive favorite to the front of the list.

  There is no way to have the charger to jump on a hard drive that is different than the one on the front of the list, if that one contains initialization information.

  However, if you install GRUB 2 (from a Linux disk), and since you have boot info on each of several different hard disks, then you can manually add a 'stanza' for each device and select the one you want during startup.

  Since it is essentially a function of Linux, you'd better check on a Linux forum on how to do it. I recommend the Ubuntu forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/

  Hello. I have a system of HPE 490 with the motherboard the infamous truckee. I had some problem with break recognizing my RAM but solved that with the update of the bios and reset Board by removing the battery.

  I'm now impossible to connect directly via the ethernet CAT 6 to the internet, can use the wifif.  I get an error code 10. I (and I'm sorry because I had to do it from work and do not have the practical exact specifications) the Intel NIC 82567 which I think can now be integrated into the Board of Directors? Even though I said HP I wanted THAT NOTHING built like I wanted updates easy.

  I say this even thjough, I saw a lot on the Internet about this NETWORK adapter and drivers works do not with windows 7 but also will say that all of my problems started the night of a lightning storm. My neighbors tree was hit by lightning so I don't know that if the static charge from that fried the NIC card or not, everything else is fine.

  I have a new card NETWORK card to use, but not slots to plug in my graphics card fan cover the only open PCI slot.  I have a card in a pci slot which has two tiny tabs (not the usual connection to the pci) and has a wire soldered to it and a thin cord that plugs into. I thought it was the intel NIC, but heard it was the wifi card instead? My NETWORK card is a part of the baord / integrated? ID just love pulling that and place the new network card but really not sure what it is and why it is configured this way.

  Any ideas? Can existing NETWORK map be saved?

  You are the very welcome.

  I don't know of any HP PC that does not come with a built-in NETWORK card, and will be difficult to find any motherboard on the market without one.

  Gone are the times where you add maps for all devices (graphics, audio, communication, etc.).

  Unfortunately, I do not have knowledge about what other motherboards you might install in your model.

  I only use HP business desktop computers and portable computers, and when I "grow" them, I give away the "old" and buy a newer model.

  I just wanted to post this bit of information to you about weather SLI will WORK with HP desktop or not.

  I noticed through the forums on the web and even after having talk with several personal customer support at HP that some say SLI was possible on HP desktop computers and other said that it was not I've talked 4 different HP capacity SLI employee and they have all said that it works on HP desktop even after having them reassures me over and over again.

  I'm here to tell you I gave a test with two EVGA GTX 680 in my HPE-490 and it does not work... the computer will recognize the two cards and allow you to use one as a main card and another form of physx card but the "SLI" option is never accessible to the general public in the same nvidia Control Panel after the graphics card driver update and reset the bios of the motherboard... also tried three different bridges SLI make sure that the bridge was not defective... but these two cards have worked in SLI, immediately after their installation in my computer self built Sandybridge brother.

  Currently I use an EVGA GTX 680 FTW and an OEM GTX 460 as a card... let physx I also tell you that if you decide to use twp graphics cards (one for the card other hand physx) that you need to put your main in the top slot graphics card and the physx card into the slot in the bottom... the motherboard will default to read the top slot as the main Board if two cards are plugged on it in order to make this work you have to do it like that.

  Some of you are probably wondering how can I adapt this in a HP desktop environment... Let me tell you, it's a very tight fit and I had to cut away some of the guts of the computer to make it fit.

  The GTX 680 has been incredible, but there are a few quirks, you must be aware of the especialy if you try to put one of those cards in a computer with not much airflow... these cards will be truly downclock, which can adversely affect performance if hit 70 degrees temperature... so you'll have to add some case fans to blow on the cards (like me) or remove the side panel to allow more fresh air in the case after that I'm ideling at 36 ° c with my two GTX 460 and GTX 680 games I stay less than 62 degrees because I have an aggressive profile fan put in place in precision X keep this way some of you are probably thinking cards will get really strong when you do but as long as you take a 680 GTX which uses the type of spare parts / fans is not a problem... the GTX 680 FTW model uses a quiet fan, which is not unpleasant to blow to it's max, but I also used a stock GTX 680 and it was a little hard to do and the GTX 670 is even stronger running full tilt.

  I wanted to just send you this information in the hope that it may help someone make sure that if you get a card 600 series to improve your diet for a beautiful 650 watts or under power with at least 38 amps on the rail... I recommend the Corsair HX650.

  I have a desktop HPE 235f. Going against my better judgment, I have improved the Windows 10 Office to try out it. Bad ideal. I started to havexecute problems. So I used one of my old recovery disk I did downgrade to Windows 7 Home. The computer worked but after I restarted it stop working again. Windows was able to boot up, but I could get the start pre diagnosis menu as long as it wasn't associated Windows. At that time there were working the keyboard and mouse, but now they are not. The power lights and the fan starts, but that's all. Blu - ray tray is ejected, but retracts within 2 seconds. Any ideals on how can I do to solve this other than buying a new office?
