  External DVD USB drives are cheap. Usually $20 for a good quality player. Just buy one of these at Best Buy or another store and use it to install Snow Leopard. Then you also have a drive for something else that you have on the disk.

  The font size is as small as 1 or 2 px on the rediculouly file and change the menu.  Other programs on my computer I don't have this problem. I have tred every thing and wack on the sizes of things on my favorite computrt

  It is similarly to the CS6.  That said, DW works better with normal text size.  If you can read comfortably with your current display settings, take a step back.  For example, if your monitor supports a 1900 max width, try to walk around 1600 or less.

  Or use the features of magnification of your operating system.

• Window will not be aligned on the menu bar in El Capitan

  Finally made the switch to El Capitan, and I found a very annoying cosmetic problem.

  My windows don't line up with the menu bar and show a thin my bottom line between the window and the menu bar. As my background is white with a repeated image, it irks me.

  Well, I don't know what happened, but now it is well aligned. I did not anything special for my computer. Very strange. I hope that no one else had this problem because I don't know how it was fixed.

• Windows Search draws BIG > 3GB WINDOWS. EDB file, even when the search service is disabled!

  Search for Windows XP generates a very large WINDOWS. Index EDB file (> 3 GB).  At first, it seemed to be a 5 GB OUTLOOK indexing. PST file *, however, I disabled the indexing service and unchecked the "allow Indexing" box on all disks and uncontrolled all items in the window "Indexing Options".  I rebooted and deleted WINDOWS. File EDB.  A few minutes later, however, the Search Service icon reappeared in the system tray and a WINDOWS. EDB file is growing again on my drive.  The "Indexing Options" dialog box indicates the number of items indexed by incrementing upward, but the window "Included locations" is empty.  While I wrote this paragraph, that 'disabled' Indexing Service has indexed 12 799 points, so even though I followed the steps to turn it off, it is still something indexing.)  How can I disable this service completely so that it will not build a WINDOWS. EDB file at all?

  This PC is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M55 running Windows XP Pro version 2002 with Service Pack 3.  2 GB of RAM, Dual CPU 6300 @ 1.86 GHz

  I suggest that you remove the KB940157 update that is associated with indexing and check if you can remove the indexing file.

  (a) click Startand then click run.

  (b) copy and paste the following command in the Open box and then press ENTER: appwiz.cpl

  (c) click to select the Show updates check box.

  (d) KB940157 -click, and then click Remove.

  (e) click Finish to restart the computer after the uninstall is complete.

  I use the latest versions of Firefox as soon as they are available on a PC in Windows 8. Firefox works fine, usually a few hours before the annoying problems manifest. The problem, that I address here is some widgets, including some widgets Firefox and widgets (such as buttons and selectors menu drop down) isolated in some sites stop functioning. In Firefox, the Menu button (the icon of three dashes stacked) stops working. And the download arrow sometimes stops working too. Sometimes, sub-items as printed stop working. A pull-down, the high and arrow down keys could still work even if I might now be able to select with the mouse. Closing and re-opening Firefox usually restores some functionality. However, I usually have to restart the PC to restore all the functions that has stopped working. So I'm good for usually a few hours yet. Another inconvenience, which others have addressed, is the appearance of Chinese characters - to research on the tab toolbar labels at the top. Restart Firefox gets rid of these for the moment.   I downloaded and installed the graphics driver that you recommended. The process went well. I have hardware acceleration disabled by an earlier recommendation to remove these Oriental characters.
  After two days of problem apparently having been fixed, I considered replying to report success. But before I could get around to doing so, abnormal behaviors reappeared. Thanks for confirming the source of these Oriental characters. Previous research indicates that the source was with McAfee or Firefox, a bit like a battle for "pointing the finger" in between.

  Is there an extracted version of Installer pre or a way of specifying where the installer extracted itself to?

  You can 'extract' the Windows of Firefox 4 versions + yourself by opening the package Firefox Setup #. 0.exe with 7-Zip and extract the contents of the \code\ folder in a new program files that you have created in advance.

• Drive Windows Media (.wmv file) stored in the Temp folder

  When I download a wmv file, I gives me the opportunity to open the file with Windows Media Player or save the file.  Lately, I've been open files in the player, assuming that, once they play, they are stored in my 'Temp' folder and empty when I delete the folder.  I was also unpin the link in the drop down WMP.  So it was quite a surprise when my hard drive available space began to decline at an alarming rate. When I went to my folder 'Users', it was 43GB and the single folder with any real content was music with 17 GB file. Do a search for wmv files have no results, so I can only assume that there are 26 GB of 'Phantom' wmv files take place, but without any specific place in the folder "users". Given that the "Users" folder is recreated at startup, I deleted all the content, the following prompts to keep files essential and lean record for its actual content to 17.5 GB.  Now I just save the file, manage downloads and delete the files when they are needed.  Is this standard protocol used for the Media Player or is it possible to change the settings of the player?  Thanks for the help.

  First of all - the C:\Users folder should not be deleted like this - several functions of the operating system back up here and you will cause a corruption of just trying to delete it all like that.

  Second - temporary storage of videos open depends on what browser you use. If you are using Internet Explorer, they are stored under C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache

  Chrome stores somewhere else.

  To safely clean the files, use the built-in cleaning system program.  Press Windows + R to display the run box, type cleanmgr and click OK to start the cleaning Manager.

  Can someone tell me how to get a windows media file inserted a picture on top? I did once by the image of the background of the page, but which prevented me from being able to create hotspots on the image for links.
