Diskeeper is leaving "inefficient" system of files scattered in my drive.

I have a Lenovo 3000 N100 who served me well for years but offline as having recently hooked up to the internet that I noticed that Diskeeper leaves "inefficient" system of files scattered in my drive and this makes it necessary for me to defragment a lot more frequently. I bought a program of "optimizer" thought online would help or at least highlight a reason for what is happening. All my security, firewall etc are up to date. I used the 'package of care' Lenovo to scan and recovery of sectors defective etc everything seems fine, no problem highlighted... So there, am I missing something obvious?

original title: defrag problem

I decided to upgrade my defrag program and now it works in the background... seems to have got to move on a regular basis, then things... my apologies for the delay and thank you for your initial response

  • Satellite L300-11V - system registry file is missing or damaged

Need help, I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L300D-11V, which, when turned on gives the message that the system registry file is missing or damaged.

My problem is that when the first installation program, I did not back up files of recovery on DVD in the event of such problems like this, my questions are, is there any way around this without the recovery disk to reinstall Vista from hardrive?

I can't find a way to do this or Toshiba will provide a recovery disk or a software download (for free or to buy) and it is the only option that is available to solve my problem?

The laptop is still under warranty for another 11 months am I covered for the hardware/software in this situation he has taken over the shop I bought that they said they couldn't do anything without the recovery disk.

    Help, thanks in advance.

    Hello!

You can reinstall Vista without the recovery disks. If want to repair your computer by restoring it to the original factory State, you can do so directly from the hard disk (press F8 when you start your computer, choose "Repair your computer"
"and follow the instructions in the menu).

Normally you had recommended to burn the recovery disk when you first start. There is a reminder that pop ups from time to time to burn the disc.
Toshiba does not provide a software download, it is all preinstalled on your laptop.

After the reinstallation, please create the recovery disk. If you need it and didn't burn this, you have to pay.

    Good bye

  • Add 9188 Chassis to the system definition file (sdf)

I want to measure the basic in Veristand 2011 without a custom device channels.  In the system definition file, how can I add a 9188 chassis? And how do I add a thermocouple on channel 0 on a series c 9213 module?  Thank you!

    Hello

You work with a Windows or device in real time?

If you use VeriStand able to work with a Windows-based system, the addition of a cDAQ-9188 should not be a problem; the equipment Discovery Wizard he will come if it's in the same network as the Windows computer. Having problems with this?

If you have a real-time like a Pharlap ETS PXI controller running target, you will not be able to use the cDAQ-9188 at all because it is not supported in real-time operating systems. If you work with a target in real time and you need the CompactDAQ you either move to Windows or we a USB CompactDAQ instead, like a cDAQ-9178.

Please refer to this topic. The second post made by a Product Support Engineer and I was able to confirm that the information is still valid even for the latest versions of NOR-DAQmx and VeriStand. You can also check the compatibility in real-time in the Readme of NOR-DAQmx 15.5.

  • VeriStand system definition file

Greetings! I'm trying to customize the sysytem Veristand definition file. In the definition file system when adding simulation models, we have an absolute path to the dll. Is there a way by which I can change to accept the absolute paths. Also, I want to know is there any VI in the background (runtime) during execution of the screen to add the simulation model? If yes where he resides.

If I look in the XML of the system definition file, which shows an absolute path to templates

Property Name = "Path of the DLL" >

Can I change this? How can I implement a relative path here?

You always specify the absolute path to the model in this configuration dialog box. However, when you save the system definition, if the path of the DLL model is compared to any known location (the system definition file, the public documents folder, etc.), it will be saved in the system compared to those places definition file.

Yes, the collection clears all of the C drive and you will lose your files. The solution would be to backup regularly to an external HARD drive and after the key one to also restore the files from the external hard drive.

This has been answered before, if you do a search for "key recovery" it appears among the first results.

repair Windows XP file system, lost files, and the sound card does not even if the drivers are installed. Themes are absent and some programs don't is not loading, connection WI - FI will not charge. System Restore does not work.

    tonythesiskolee,
I would like to get some clarification.  When you say 'repair Windows XP' what talking you?  Did you run the System File Checker or that you are trying to make a repair to a XP disk installation?  You get an error when you try to run the system restore?

There are two ways to restore your system.  If you have set up and run a backup utility, it would be the best way to restore.  Or you can reinstall XP.  This article covers the different installation options available.  Or if you have an OEM drive or restore partition, you can then follow the instructions to do a factory restore. • Windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or damaged. Status: Oxc000014C

Hello - anyone can help me find a solution to my problem?

My problem: Windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or damaged. Status: Oxc000014C

I tried everything the sytem advised through SafeMode etc... Also, I tried to reload my OS - last updated through the windows update site. However, he did not - probably because all updates from MS, which means that it would not load from the DVD.

It's a whole new system customized with MS Vista 64 bit, Office 2007 Untimate, Asus MB, 250 GB HD ATI video card. I used Vista for almost a year and had no problems until today. All of the original software.

I have my thesis and several files, I was working on someone - I was doing consulting work to supplement my income as a student... Unfortunately, when I finally used my system last night it was ok. Now I canoe get my system up and running.

    Mark Merci for your comments.

I found myself communicating directly with Microsoft and they were able to get my system up and running without losing me data. Hooray for Microsoft!

My system is back to normal and I am assuring you that all my files are backed up on DVD.

  • Windows not boot system registry file is missing, damaged

The message I get is "the system registry file is missing, damaged" I have the restore option, to start in SafeMode etc but nothing works, it always brings back me to the same screen. I did a check on the hard drive and he said that there is an error.  What can I do? I don't have a vista cd. Thanks for any advice.

What is your computer brand and model?

What virus protection software is installed on your computer.

Can you please post a full error message complete.

A likely scenario is that you need to restore factory settings, which is a shredder process removing all data files and programs added since the computer was purchased. If you want to recover your data files, this should be done before you try to fix your computer.

To recover your data files, you need a second computer to access the drive to read and copy the files to the second computer and on removable media for resettlement on the first computer after repair. There are two ways to retrieve data. Method 1 is to place the first computer's hard drive in a USB external hard drive enclosure to connect the case to the second computer. Method 2 is to remove the hard drive from the original computer and place it in a spare drive Bay and connect as a second hard drive. For method 2 be a viable option the two computers must be either computers desktop or laptops as desktop computers have 3.5 "internal hard drives and internal laptop drives 2.5" computers. For method 1, you simply purchase the appropriate forum for the drive.

There is no guarantee that you will be able to recover the data, but you can usually if you have a damaged on a viable hard disk operating system. In some cases, you don't have to resort to the company a restore to the factory settings, but most of these options depend on having a system CD. Walter is indicating that there may be ways to acquire a CD but you need to the right one for your computer.

The process of reconstruction of a computer system can be a difficult task, for the first time, it is committed. You must decide if you want to do or if you feel more comfortable taking the computer to a small computer repair shop
