  I tried to figure out how to get the type u to text in a text box automatically jump down to that underneath the text box area runs. I have some specific lines that I wish ppl in my PDF enter their information on. But I can't seem to manage get text, as executions of box of text box, to jump to the next line.

  That should be done with JavaScript in AcroForms. AcroForms don't have such a device built in. Dynamic form fields can be created by LiveCycle Designer, but it is an additional cost.

  Does anyone know how to do to have a dialog with a custom message pop up every time that a specific program is open?  The computer is running Windows XP Professional 2002 with Service Pack 3.  The program is used to operate a scientific instrument that keeps the damage by lab users who disregard the instructions printed around it.  Ideally, I could have a pop up dialog that requires users to click on the 'OK' button before the program opens.  I have spent some time surfing the web for ideas, but have so far come back empty-handed.  The program is generally open from a shortcut on the desktop.

  You can create a small shell script which displays a message first, then open the program once you click OK.  Delete your shortcut on the desktop and put a shortcut to this script instead.  You can even customize the icon of the shortcut to the script so that we don't see even a difference.

• LVDT offset before running the program

  Hi all

  I use an LVDT to measure the movement of the ground. This must take into account both the consolidation and swelling and therefore requires the LVDT to move in both directions. As a result, the voltage must be reset after the LVDT is pushed so that it can record both negative and positive direction. So far I managed to do it using a business structure that runs when the "zero" button is pressed. However, it comes into force once the program is run. What I need is a button "zero out" which can be used before the program is executed. I want so push in the lvdt, click on the "zero" button, then start running the program to avoid these initial tensions is recorded on the xy graph.

  I found a vi file that does this, but it was very complicated and used old version of labview. I'm relatively new to labview and therefore could not follow the coding on it.

  Two screen grabs show how I did the same 'Auto zéro' function when you use an LVDT to measure displacement, I was also saving strength at the same time then graphically representing the post record results.

  On the first race the true / false loop is set to TRUE, in this case the displacement is subtracted from zero to provide compensation, this offset value is then passed to the shift register where it remains as a constant for subsequent itterations of the main loop, while the value is simply passed straight through the true / false loop with nothing done to it on all iterations after the first.

  The offset value is then added to the data read from the LVDT to provide a number of displacement from zero since all that the program was headed all first. There is a 'Save' button on front of who's in a hurry to start and stop recording data - hope this is a help - Mike

  Just in case there are persistent pieces of malware here is the method of complete elimination.

  Try Mode safe mode with networking - repeatedly, press F8 that you start.

  The best two methods allow scanners to run and/or AV.exe out of the way or removing.

  CTRL SHIFT ESC - task manager OR right click on the taskbar - task manager

  Process tab - complete the process on AV. EXE and continue with the uninstall Guide.

  If necessary use start - computer or Windows Explorer to navigate to

  C:\Program Malwarebytes Anti - Malware\mbam.exe or where it is installed - if
  necessary right click on the shortcut of Malwarebytes - Properties - tab - target line to see where it
  is installed.

  Right-click on it and rename it to ZZMbam.COM (or something different than now) and
  Double-click it, and then run it like this. You can rename it back later. Do the same with
  other programs according to the needs. Use this method to others as needed - NOT assume all
  a program deletes all or that it is no other malicious software.

• Display of a text box based on a LOV

  I have a form with a list of selection and want to display a text box when someone chooses another (value 5). When I use the selection list with redirect clears my entire form data, it will bring up the text bx. The text box has a conditional display of pl/sql: p2_orig_src_c = '5'. I don't want the form to submit from the selection list, because the user will not be performed of the incoming data in the form.

• Automatically put the cursor in the text box to start

  Hi guys

  On the picture below you can see a small piece of my FP. It is a part of a bigger FP for a pretty huge electronics test. Each PCB got its own series number of barcode. I have a drive that is connected to my keyboard. Then when I read the code bar, numbers will appear in the text box on my FP, IF i first click on the text box. Then the user must only press START to do the test. My problem, or wish, if you like, is that when the program starts, or a test has completed, the cursor/marker is placed in the text box, so I just have to read bar codes.

  Currently, the user must click in the text box before you read the code bar. Is it possible that this can be done by Labview?

  I n node property checked yet, because I'm busy to something else right now at work. Just write in my break.

  PS I would have found the answer in the forum, but I am from Norway, and not all of the language of the computer is easy to translate since I use windows Norwegians. I belive that it is called cursor or marker however.

  The property node "KeyFocus" attached here brings the cursor automatically in the text box.  Set the "Val (Sgnl)" blank to trigger the event associated with this area of text (if necessary).

• How to use the result of widget radio selection to 'show' a text box?

  I have a question about widgets.

  What I want to do is to take the result of radio button widgets (in this case 1 2 rather long sentences that were available) and which will display a text box on another screen.

  Background: I have a series of slides where I ask the questions of the learner through Radio button widgets and so I get a number of variables (= penalty) they choose.

  The question I have is that I want to display all the choices they made on 1 page. Because the possible answers are relatively long I have run out of space if I simply inserts

  variables to shown as such and/or the police gets too small.

  So my idea is to use the answer that they choose to make a text box with a shorter version of the same appearo of sentence on this slide 'results '.

  So my idea is to have the learner to make their selection, then use a tip action to check what answer (= the option button), they clicked on.

  What I would do through "If XYZ variable ' 'contains (a keyword of the long sentence)' then 'show textbox YZ' etc.

  Question 1: Is this the most simple/more convenient way or I can save me time somwhow?

  2 "contain" a medium of action adv. the exact text or it may be just one of the words (out of the long sentence that could be selected)? I ask because then I have to use the same long exact phrase in the NOA that seems awkward.

  3. I need to create a separate fast action for each radio widget, I've used. Is this correct?

  4 if I then say 5 adv. actions for different questions, I asked what should trigger these advanc. action? The goal is just to shorten the long sentences in the selections made?

  If I use ' enter' for all the screen I just started one, I haven´t?

  Many probably incorrect assumptions, on my part, I guess...

  In my example the var who will get the short sentence is v_class. It's always the variable associated with the interaction of radio buttons. You have as much of these variables to be inserted on the last slide you have interactions button radio please never enter the variable to insert, but use the X button in the role of composition of the properties panel for the text container. Variables are case sensitive, in this way, you will avoid typos.

• Automatically convert soft line breaks in the text box to hard breaks

  I have the design of textbooks and convert to ePub recomposable, broke up. These ePub files get formatted then can be used interchangeably on the printed text. A book that I am currently in conversion is a literature book where there are lines of text with the overall line numbers so that teachers can quickly refer to a specific section of the text.

  All the line breaks in the ID file are defined just by the edge of the text box. So the text box change sizes, all line breaks would also change. Isn't a problem until you need to keep these online breeze in recomposable text and add up the numbers in.

  
  What I'm looking for is a way to insert automatically the line breaks in these LONG sections of text in the right places. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do that?

• Highlight the area of text disappearing when a variable is used in this text box

  Dear all

  I spent ages setting up a quiz in Captivate 8 allows partial scoring on several slides and then provides feedback to the accepting of a quiz on correct/incorrect responses.  Because the partial scoring options from Captivate are so limited, I had to make abundant use of the advanced Actions number of (a) the number of correct answers (assigned to a variable called "c1") and then (b) if some but not all the answers are correct, display a text box stating the number of correct answers.  The text in the text box is simply "You got $$ c1$ $ right." and results in the text box saying 'You're right' 2 If c1 is 2.

  However, for some reason any highlighting in the text box turns off if I put a variable in there.  For example, if the text box has the normal orange highlight given to partially correct captions, this nail does not appear if I include the variable, but it does not appear if I simply say "Partially correct.".  Does anyone know how I can fix this you problem?  I have searched previous questions on this site and on the internet but couldn't find anything.  I also tried to clear the cache of Captivate on my computer, but it does not help this problem.

• Two styles of a calculated text box text

  Let's say you have 1 text box, text box 2 and 3 box of text on a form.

  In text box 3, you have a calculation script so it shows everything that is typed in 1 box of text and text box 2.

  Too can you have in the script text box 3, a way to display the text box in a certain style 1 and 2 text box in a style different? So basically two styles of text in a calculated text box?

  I was curious enough to try it myself.

  She is due the higher level of several nodes in the XML document that I suspect would be a problem. I also like the error:

  The bottom worked for me to mix the two together. What may seem odd, is that if you think it will copy the formats defined at design time, it won't. It's as if the design time format is the default value for the field and the XML does not contain this format. If I choose the part of one of the fields, right-click and change the formatting of the text, which will be copied. If your intention was to copy the format of design time, you probably better to build the XML string yourself and insert the CSS format. Pull the top of the JavaScript console and review the XML code to get a starting point.
