display align

In this webpage (example):
http://Athena.unige.ch/Athena/citations/Cholokhov.html
text-align-justify is quite correct note (see the second paragraph of the English and French texts). Why?...
It is OK with IE and other browsers.

Hello cor - el,.

You are right!

This is a specific problem of Firefox.

Thank you.

  • EPub with Apple Pages centering images

I use Apple Pages to create an eBook (I know I could have used InDesign, I'll use it for the next!). All the text is there, I used topics, and I am very satisfied with the result. However... When I export to ePub, the images are not centered. They are focused on the use of PDF. Take a look at my settings of the image pages to the following screenshot:

The image (this is an example, but all 150 images in this way) is aligned to the Center by using the "Align" function you can see to the right, but when I select 'Center', it does not move (because it is already in the Center), and displays Align. I don't know if it's good or bad.

As you can see, the image is aligned to the right when I export the ePub book and open it with Mac iBook. This is exactly the same on my iPad / iPhone. The image fell thus: look at the difference between the pictures shown in the screenshots that I added in this message.

I'm running out of ideas and I hope you can help me.

This is my first post on the Apple support forum, so please tell me if I could have explained something more accurately! :-)

    Thank you!

Well, it's not too late to redo it in InDesign. The following has been done in v5.6.2 on OS X 10.11.6 Pages.

I inserted and centred on an image in v5.6.2 Pages with above and below the text. The result when you export to PDF showed the image centered in overview and Acrobat Reader. When exporting Pages to ePub3, the image was right-justified in iBooks and saw that centered in Sigil 0.96 and Calibre 2.63.0.

I decided to see if I could fool iBooks. With the help of Sigil, I added changes in style of book.css and referenced in the chapter file - 1.xhtml. Here, I'm telling you the div containing the image to use 70% of the width of the ePub with 15% margins on each side, apply 1em margin top and bottom margin of manoeuvre. Because the image is inside the div, I'm ordering him to use 100% of the container.

After that I saved these changes in Sigil. The ePub open in iBooks with the centered image designated.

I don't think you can fix this issue within Pages centering v5.6.2 image.

  • Error in column named FOP

I'm trying to generate PDF reports with a model of the named column.

APEX 4.1, using the FOP.war provided by APEX deployed on Glassfish 4.

I use a report query - presentation of the report.

When I use a generic report template, everything works fine.

When using a ratio of the named column generated with Stylus Studio. I get this error (from the server.log):

Sorry for so long a model, but I wanted ot include the model of Stylus Studio as generated.

There are several htings in here I simplify... but I want it works.

Then, I will need to add to the conditional text and background color coding.

When I do that, I'll have more questions about the characters special <><, =, etc. in the XPath expression. The people that need to be escaped too much?

What colors - simple #FFFFFF, for example.

Thanks for any help and suggestions,

    Karen

    Thanks - Karen

    Hello Mike,.

Thanks for that, but... I had followed this document exactly. When it is at the '.. '. run some fomrattign changes... "part, the doc is not very accurate. Even if I have to prove this out (I have a listener of APEX, APEX 4.2 instance as well), I think that my model was not correct any version of the APEX (4.1 vs. 4.2) or by using the APEX listener vs Glassfish deployment - the problem was with my model.

The main issue blocking the generation of PDF has been the fact that in my model, I don't have a column width assigned to my instructions.   When I use Stylus Studio, the default post-processor is RenderX.XEP, not Apache FOP.  Apache FOP has no limits... or post-processing RenderX is more advanced, however, you want to watch.  Stylus Studio

Once I got the set column width, I had to go step by step by adding additional features to the model, close attention to the Apache FOP documentation and known issues.  The post-processor of switching to Apache FOP in the Stylus Studio scenario properties helps, but does not catch everything.

I plug the long... my last experience of learning is that the Nice XPath that works in Stylus Studio does not directly translate to Apache FOP. I need to be even implemented using XSLT.

    Fun with FOP!

Back to Mike to use the earpiece of the APEX and APEX 4.2... If I could, I would, but we can't upgrade until next year some time, so I have to work with what I have. For fun, when I have time, I'll compare the results between APEX 4.1 provided by APEX FOP.war and the FOP.war provided by APEX APEX 4.2, to see the differences. He's still Apache FOP, so there may be some someimprovements, but I have yet need to stick to the strict Apache FOP and XSLT 1.0, which is clearly indicated.

  • Formatting of margins

I tried to get rid of the padding or the margin on the left side of my flash form. I was throwing everything I can think of her in a trial and (especially) the error mode.

    Here is an example...

    < cfform method = "get" name = "form1" >
    < name cfselect = "mySelect1" >
    < option value = "1" selected > 1 < / option >
    < option value = "2" > 3 < / option >
    < option value = "3" > 3 < / option >
    < / cfselect >
    < / cfform >

    < br >

    < cfform method = 'get' name = "form2" preloader = "" format = "flash" >
    < name cfselect = "mySelect2" >
    < option value = "1" selected > 1 < / option >
    < option value = "2" > 3 < / option >
    < option value = "3" > 3 < / option >
    < / cfselect >
    < / cfform >

I need the flash form (form2) to display aligned left as in form1. Have a missed a basic setup or is there a limitation I need to know.

    Thank you!

  • Satellite Pro A120: disk head alignment error is displayed

I bought an AE120 on 12 Dec 06. It worked when first turning the power on. When I push the cell phone, the "vibration problem" message appeared and followed by "drive head alignment error" what made me afraid to use it more.

So I returned the computer laptop vendor and bought the model replacement unit exact. The second unit came on 19/01/07. When lights first, the exact situation came and I was not convinced to use this laptop yet, but the second unit to return to the vendor.

I don't know if these two units came a bad batch and I don't know if I should buy the same unit, the third time and hope that this error would not come to the top.

Pls advise if it is a fault or a bad batch.

    Hello Belinda

I am very surprised that your local provider was not able to explain that you want to happen exactly.

In any case, this message is not serious and there is no reason to worry about this. If your laptop has the factory settings it is preinstalled Toshiba HDD Protection tool. The exact explanation of this tool is as follows:

    HARD drive protection
Using the acceleration sensor built into the PC, HDD protection detects the vibrations, shocks and sings it similar in the PC and the disk head HARD automatically move to a safe position to reduce the risk of damage that might be caused by the contact of the head-to-disk.

You can disable this message. Start detail TOSHIBA help protect and difficulty HDD Protection Setup.

Under HDD protection Message remove check mark in front of a display of message when. option.

Goodbye and enjoy your new toy. ;)

  • Right aligned negative numbers 2-line display

    JDev 11.1.1.4.0

    Hello

I have a panelStretchLayout and in the side of the bottom, I have a panelGroupLayout with a right and a presentation of the horizontal Halign.
In the panelGroupLayout, I have an outputText that is bound to a display object field that contains a negative value - 15 '000' 000.00

The outputText is display its value on two lines, for example:
    -
    15000000
If I change Halign left, the display is correct for example:
    - 15000000
I tried different models and values in the af: convertNumber which is located in the outpText but I can't get a properly
aligned right negative number on one line...

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Concerning
    Paul

    Paul,
just checked it. You're right, the output wraps two online when the text you specify (I could reproduce it with text only "xxx yyy").
Looks like a bug to me.
Workaround: set the NoWrap property to true and should show the text on a single line. Here's my test code:

  • JDev 10.1.3.4 number alignment in web page display

    For the experienced:

I use JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 and on my page, I have five lines, each is a read-only form. To format numbers in the screen, I use af:convertNumber (here is the code for one of these forms of read-only):
    <af:outputText value="#{bindings.NotValidatedTotal.inputValue}"
                   binding="#{mainPage.outputText5}" id="outputText5">
    <f:convertNumber groupingUsed="true" type="number"
                   pattern="#{bindings.NotValidatedTotal.format}"
                   integerOnly="true"/>
    </af:outputText>
Type = 'number' and groupingUsed = 'true' comes into effect, but the numbers are aligned to the left:
            TotalStudents  12,066
        AllValidatedTotal  11,354
     OnlineValidatedTotal  6
      OtherValidatedTotal  11,348
        NotValidatedTotal  712
It is desirable for display as
            TotalStudents  12,066
        AllValidatedTotal  11,354
     OnlineValidatedTotal       6
      OtherValidatedTotal  11,348
        NotValidatedTotal     712
    How to get there?

In my other pages, I format currency also using af: convertNumber and define the type = "currency", which also lead to left alignment. I then in the display of the VO value currency type flag and let Virgin format, and who takes care of to make aligned to the right. But this does not work with type = 'number' here on this page in question.

It seems to me that the display flag does not cooperate with the converter number very well. For example, on the page in question, let the af:convertNumber leaves all the same as described above, if on the screen I put the number type and format to 0,000, number 712 should be posted 0.712, aligned to the left still.

Is there a documentation on that? The context help for tips to display VO does not specify on format numbers masks, and research in the developer's guide is not a lot of advice.

Thank you very much for your help!

  • alignment of the menu widget displays wrong

Hello, having trouble with the menu by default widget that displays well in Design view, but in the preview always bumps the link active as shown all here (they should all be on the same line)... Please help... stuck on this issue of mad for DAYS now:

    Screen Shot 2016-01-07 at 10.10.17 AM.jpg

Looking at the code, I see you used a third party widget on the page or in the associated master page.

At the time wherever I removed these codes in the Style tag it started working fine.

This means that the codes generated by the widget are in conflict with muse generated menu codes. I can't remove the widget on the page will sort the problem for you.

    Kind regards

  • Why text displayed differently (vertical alignment) seen on a PC on Mac?

The text shows misaligned (various) on different platforms (Mac or PC)

The section of the Menu on this site ~ > Menu

Is there a way to get around this or fix it. I tried to look at the code in Dreamweaver and I saw some weird (> Span <) tags, I wonder if it might have to do with it.

The goal is to align the right side (price) perfectly. I even had to do the 'follow-up' individually to each line. It works, according to what I'm working on is the platform, I work and publish from a Mac, it would look good no matter what browser I use, but when played on a PC of the text gets misaligned. The same thing happens if I work and publish from a PC, it would show misaligned on a Mac.

Hope that there is a reasonable explanation for this.

    -Thank you,

    Ricardo

The main cause of alignment is the fact that the text uses a 'Web Safe' police. A police 'web safe' is not a single font. It is rather a list/stack of fonts for the browser of the visitor to the website to try up what he finds one that is available to the visitor's computer. That means on a single computer, the text is in a font (Arial for example) and on another computer, it's another (i.e. Helvetica) with the following impacts caused by the widths of character between the two police forces. The best way to reduce this variation between viewers of site is to use a Web font (one edge Web fonts or a Web of Hosted police).

Alignment will not be still quite consistent between browsers (or even the versions of the browsers), because each browser has it's own text layout engine and engines sometimes change, but the variation will be drastically reduced.

  • Alignment of display page position?

I don't know why to pages of my Web site align in the Center where all others line up on the left. I don't know what is telling them to align to Center? I tried to force to the left in the body tag by text-align: left, but it has no effect.

Does anyone have ideas, which is originally the page at the Center?

This is what my style sheet for the page looks like:

  • Aligned to the left selector display

    Guys,

I'm running into some particular formatting with allignment issues.

    1. need for left-aligned view selector. I was able to justify the legend on the left but not able to move the selector 'view' tried many things like the addition of size in the left margin and made the Avenue on the left, but who remains in the Center. Only the legend moves left but I want everyone left jusstified.

    2. I have two reports on my dashboard. Top gear is pretty widee and the user must scroll to see the substantive report that is small enough. I'm being aligned left the report background to keep it always left completely so that the user doesn't have to scroll. But looks like even if I changed the properties of the section in the Dashboard 'Edit' remains in the Center.

You can advice guys if there are style sheets or XML that we can modify to do this.

    Thank you

    Hi Isabelle,.

Throw it into an object of text at the bottom of your dashboard and check the activate HTML option.

It will be aligned left ONLY the view selector drop-down box.

    See you soon!

  • Display PDF in iOS 10 problem

After the passage in iOS10 on my iPhone 6s, iPadPro 9.7 "and the iPadPro 12.9" I was shocked to see that a large part of my PDFs isn't is no longer displays correctly.

I have thousands of scanned documents, containing the text + image in compressed PDF format. Until iOS9, they were posted correctly in each version of the iOS, just as it should, and as they also in each program PDF on my Windows 7 PC. But in iOS10, they appear with letter completely blurred, as if the fonts were displayed twice (image + text), but lines out of alignment. The fuzzy text is hard to read.

This blurry text in ALL my scanned documents appears in ALL known PDF reading apps: start with iBooks app Apple own, GoodReader, Documents to Readdle, PDF Reader or apps like Expert PDF and tastes, until import into apps like good Notes, etc. More Notes of note-taking.

I use my PDF files in a professional, not only for private use and this bug is a disaster and a complete no go any professional use IOS devices.

Apple will have this problem is serious, and can I expect an iOS10 fix soon?

Apple may provide no work around until then?

Today, I downloaded an update of two applications of Readdle: Documents and expert PDF:

I am VERY relieved that this update has resolved the problem, after a terrible week with fuzzy pdfs in all directions!

If so, it seems that the other apps (inluding iBooks own apples) could get a fix in an update soon as well.

  • Can not get the address book to display the email addresses of the contacts

I moved BT mail using Thunderbird to access my emails. Everything went OK, until I tried to import my
contacts. I can't get my address book to display the email addresses of the contacts. I will admit that I do not understand the menu you want to move the two columns from top to bottom after importing the csv file. Please can you explain what I'm doing wrong here. All I want is first name, last name and email showing in the address book. Thank you

I tried to write a procedure to http://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/importing-csv-files.html some time ago here. but the thing is if you change the columns in the CSV file in a spreadsheet, first match that Thunderbird expected (both in name and order), then you don't need to play with this terrible UI that aligns with the name of the field name of the field.

It is in this dialogue if you have the family name next to the e-mail address of the family name is considered to be the email address.
