Display and resolution

I can't change the display or the meanless supervision when I go in it, it won't let me change it I need to go to a higher resolution, but the drop box does not go down he says I can't change it because it is less than 600 pixals

Your expanation is not quite clear, but I suspect you use the graphic Standard VGA driver rather than specific for your graphics card. Try to download and install the latest graphics driver. Make sure you get the following information correct at the time of choosing the driver on the manufacturer's website:

make/model;
-version of Windows (e.g. Windows Vista);
-If you use a 32 edition or 64-bit Windows.

I have a MacBook to the retina 12 inches early 2015 with a multiport Apple USB - C card that has a HDMI connector. I am using a monitor Dell 27 ' u2713hm with a HDMI cable. However, the display preferences do not allow me to set the resolution. I have the choice between the default value for display (and this is 1080 px, even if the screen has a native resolution of 2560 x 1440) and update the scale that offers a resolution of 1080 or lower. How to use my monitor at its full resolution with HDMI connector I have on the multiport card?

  • External display via mini display port resolution

    Hello

I have an iMac 27 "late 2009 with a graphic of ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB and the latest Mac OS.

I just bought a Samsung U28E850R to use as a second screen UHD and connected via the port mini screen iMac to display the port of the Samsung.

The problem is that it is not possible to set a higher resolution than Full HD on the Samsung. But with regard to the iMac specification 2560 x 1440 should be possible.

Does anyone know the solution for my problem? Thank you.

    Hello there, riedma.

It seems that you are wanting to be able to choose from all available on your new display resolutions. The following Knowledge Base article offers strong information to achieve this:

OS X El Capitan: set the resolution of your screen

Screen resolution determines the size of the text and objects on your screen. By default, the resolution of your screen is set to display the text stronger and more detailed images. So it is best to use the default resolver, you can manually set the resolution to make the text and objects appear larger on your screen, or adjust it to make the text and objects appear smaller in order to have more space on your screen.

Depending on how you set the resolution, some applications may not entirely correspond to the screen. Using a scale of resolution can affect performance.

    Define the main screen resolution

    1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click view, and then click display.

    2. Select chipped, then select one of the options of resolution nationally.

    Define a connected screen resolution

If you have more than one display, additional resolution options are available.

    1. After that the display is connected, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click view, and then click display.

    2. Press the Option key while you click chipped to see additional resolutions for the second screen. Then select a resolution option to scale to the second screen.

If you changed your screen resolution and now there is no picture

    Hello

Can you please check under display properties > settings > advanced > monitor, is there possibility to activate the option Hide modes that this monitor cannot display.

If you want, save your data and reinstall OS with recovery CD. Check if your monitor is working properly and there is black band again.
I ve done the installation of SP2 several times without any problem. It is not a simple to determine what can be wrong with it.

If you reinstall the operating system and there is no black band again, please let me know. I am very interested about your problem.

What is the difference between Thunderbolt display and iMac, in terms of display quality? It seems to be too expensive compared to the latter? Although the iMac 27 "is 5 k and Thunderbolt Display is just HD?

The standard iMac has the same resolution as the TBD.  Only the retina iMac is sharper, but can be difficult to tell the difference on most of the images.  You can get the exact specs on Apple's site.

    Thank you

    Hello Davide

From time to time I have similar problems, but I can live with that. At the office, I use external TFT display and occasionally switch resolution to low resolution and I have to manually set to a superior.

I have no problem with the application windows, but sometimes with windows jawascript. It is sometimes beyond bar tasks and I can just close it by using the Alt + F4 key combination. I put t know why this happens but it is possible that these small jawascript windows are programmed to do this.

It will be interesting to application, you have the same situation. Try to minimize the application window and manually set to the visible edges of your screen, and then close. Following start-up, it must be open in the same size.

Tell me all your attempts to solve.

  • T500 and resolution 1920 x 1200

    Hello

My question seems to be very easy, even though I spent some time with Google, and after reading all the related messages, I am even more confused then before. So, I would ask someone to explicit confirmation or a reversal.

I've got T500 2242-CTO model, with integrated Mobile Intel (r) 4 Series Express Chipset Family adapter chart only. Now, I would like to buy monitor Dell U2410 and use it's native resolution of 1920 x 1200 for daily use and for treatment of photos by Lightroom. I don't have a station at this time I will not invest in it and I have no opportunity to check it out with a monitor at the moment.

So my question is: "can I use resolution 1920 x 1200 and an external monitor with my T500 2242, and I can use DisplayPort for her?

Theoretically the adapter (which Windows report as "Mobile Intel (r) GMA 4500MHD") is able to display high resolution, both using VGA and DisplayPort adapters still more. The question is if it will work with T500? I read a lot of posts saying that the digital output is possible only with additional ATI card. Other people wrote that thay can use these resolutions, but they advanced Mini Dock. There are also many posts discuss whether it is possible to connect two monitors, but with double graphics cards or Mini Dock.

Can you help me decide if purchase 1920 x 1200 monitor makes sense with this laptop?

    Thanks in advance,

    Grzegorz

The wuxga is supported by two VGA or displayport. The displayport can support a maximum of WQXA when you use native active displayport or dp to dvi converter dual link.

  • DPI and resolution settings

My office happened to large icons, even if I set @ 96 dpi.  This affects some of my programs which do not correspond to my screen.  As indicated in my system it starts it adjusts to 1680 x 1050 - 60, but the setting of the resolution indicates it is 1360 x 678 and I am not able to change it in 1680 x 1050.  I need HELP.   Thank you

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

For example, 640 × 480 is a lower screen resolution, and 1600 × 1200 is higher. CRT monitors generally display a resolution of 800 × 600 or 1024 × 768. LCD monitors can better support the higher resolutions. If you can increase your screen resolution depends on the size and capability of your monitor and the type of video card you have.

Text and images are sharper and smaller at high screen resolutions
Text is larger and easier to read at low screen resolutions, but images are rasterized and number of items adapted to the screen
    1. Open display settings by clicking on the button start , by clicking on Control Panel, appearance and personalization, clickingPersonalization and then clicking display settings.

    2. Under resolution, move the slider to the desired resolution, then clickApply.

  • Windows 7 does not display a resolution 1920 x 1080 on my 1080 p LCD TV

I recently tried to upgrade my PC Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 (32-bit), and installing a discovers that Windows 7 has problems with displaying the resolution on LCD TV I use for my screen.  In the middle of the installation, my TV displays "Mode not supported" on display and remained that way.

I knew that Windows 7 has attempted to display a resolution which could not handle my TV, so to solve this, I turned off the PC temporarily plugged into a 2nd LCD monitor via DVI (bi-ecrans configuration) and turned on the rear PC, which allowed me to complete the installation of the upgrade to Windows 7.  It also let me see that my Samsung TV has been detected as one of the screens, and the 'recommended' for this TV resolution was detected as 1920 x 1080, which is the resolution that I used initially very well under Windows Vista.  Now, with Windows 7, the highest resolution I can display on my Samsung TV is 1360 x 768... None of the resolutions higher cause "Mode not supported" on a black screen.

To complicate issues further, whenever I unplug the 2nd LCD monitor I have temporary installation as a double screen, it seems that the display settings for the Samsung TV back to resolution of 1920 x 1080 now not taken in charge, because the TV shows "not supported Mode"... Thus, it seems that even if I wanted to settle for the lowest resolution 1360 x 768, I can't even use the LCD TV as a stand-alone display because it won't save this setting with only a single screen (LCD TV) connected to the display.

My graphics card is an ATI Radeon 9600, and my screen is a Samsung LN52A650 LCD TV.  I connect to the TV using a VGA cable.  I also tried to use a converter DVI / VGA and had the same exact results.  This same exact configuration was capable of displaying 1920 x 1080 resolution of screen very well with Windows Vista Home Premium before.  Can I do to return to the display 1920 x 1080 on my setup with Windows 7, or I have to downgrade to Windows Vista?

    Leo,

I had the same problem as you. 1920 x 1080 worked well on my XP computer via the VGA cable to a 52 inch Samsung LCD TV. I've upgraded to Windows 7 and it wouldn't work. The problem is not Windows 7, but the latest ATI Catalyst drivers do not support 1920 x 1080 on Windows 7 via the VGA cable. If you are using ATI Catalyst 8.9 version (downloadable from the page Support ATI) everything will work fine on Windows 7.

  • Display and quality real reduction mid-project

Hey there, this is my first post here, but I'll try to be concise.

I encountered a problem which I have never met before, and the search so that it links to other discussions rather than what I'm looking for.

Mid-project, just before I was ready to export the file and actually, my document of 300ppi went pixelated - up to 72 dpi, if that.

It performs not only my brush, but a dynamic object, that I've vectorized it for slight adjustment.

Now, every time I open any file photoshop, new or old, in any color/channel/resolution mode, all my brushes is pixelated.

    The custom and default ones.

I tried a few things to solve this problem:

    Restart of photoshop

    Restart the computer

    Verification through "preferences".

    Verification via the channels/picture mode.

Check the effects on the layer/brushes.

The problem does not affect only the display either, the exported images reflect the same quality.

Any help would be appreciated, as it is I can't do work with my program until this issue is resolved.

I joined one of my files exported here. It is 1200 x 300 pixels, but has been created and saved at 300 ppi.

    Thanks in advance,

    Thomas

Uhm... difficult to say without the file. Another idea is the following: you talk about dpi, but you say that you set the size of your file in pixels. There is a little confusion: DCT (point per INCH) is related to the size of the document (e.g. print). If your file size is set in pixels I guess that's for web portΘs: in this case basically the resolution of your image does not affect the quality, important value is the amount of pixels. When you look at an image via the web, the resolution you are seing, that the image is set by your device, information on IPR are simply ignored. Hope my explanation is clear: just trying to look at two images with the same amount of pixels, 300 dpi with 1 vote against and 72 dpi, with your browser to check, they appear with the same size and resolution of your screen. If you decrease your screen resolution, images both appear larger.

Mabye I say mabye, when you export you are decreasing the dpi of 300 to 72, so basically you are downsampling your image even if you don't need. And mabye you are using by default an as nearest neighbor resampling algorithm that makes your hard edges.

Hipotesys one another, it is that you use the vector smart object. I noticed that sometimes when distort you a vector smart object that pixelated, so sometimes it's better to rasterize it and turn it into a new smart object before distortion.

  • The EPS graphic displays and prints with staircase effects

I have an EPS graphic that I received from a known source of designer. When I place it in InDesign, it displays and prints with staircase effects. This graph displays and prints properly as a vector illustration should in Microsoft Word. I am running Mac 10.8.4 system in its new version of the creative cloud.

I've been away for a bit and am now back. It starts to get really frustating. Allow me to reiterate. The graphic in question is a vector illustration in Illustrator. There seems to be no effects applied in the effects of rasterization of Document Panel. In this Panel, the color model is grayscale, the resolution is Highg (300 dpi), the background is Transparent, and no Options are selected. When I place the graphic in InDesign, it displays with jaggies and, of course, print with jaggies. If I save the Illustrator file to PDF format, the resulting PDF display and print without any problem, but if I place this PDF in the ID, the aliasing appearin the screen, but the graphic prints without aliasing. As I said earlier, the graph realizes correctly in Word. I'm a new user of CC so my programs are not personalized.

The dialog box display settings are two buttons: default for display and chipped. Select chipped in the external screen dialog box. This should give you the different options that are available. You can also hold down the option key while clicking on the button of the chipped to see all options, not just the most expensive.
