Display full page URL in the address bar
I published my site of MUSE in HTML format and posted on the GoDaddy server. Everything works, but regardless of what I am on the page, the address in the address bar of browser remains the same. My client wants that the full address to appear so that they can cut and copy URL address of specific pages in the emails.
How to the pages of the web site to correctly display the full URL in the address bar?
I would like to mention other sites accessing my client will be displayed properly is not a browser setting. It is only when us travel to their site URL remains fixed for the duration of our visit.
Thank you.
Andy.
This is an animation of edge you have there. When an Animation of edge is placed in Muse, she is placed inside an iframe. So when www is loaded into an iFrame, all relatively called assets are loaded in the same period and so the URL in the address bar never changes. You can set target = "_top" or "_parent" on the dashboard link then animate when the link is followed it loads in the browser and not only within the iframe Muse uses to display the content of edge animate.
Thank you
Vinayak

How can I view the FULL url in the address bar?
I want TO be able to see ALL the URLS and addresses in the address bar! You changed it so the address is hidden or obscured without any possibility to see clearly without highlighting it. Vision of the persons with disabilities blind to things such as where on the site they are on and https:// vs. http:// is annoying and evil. How can I change it back without a retro back to FF 3.6?
Masking of the http: part
The Protocol (http://) was removed from the URL in the address bar to the http:// pages only. https:// pages will always have the Protocol. There is also a bug known, where if you copy the URL after selection of the awesome bar dropdown (but before the page is loaded), it does not include the http:// part. Users can revert to the old behavior by setting browser.urlbar.trimURLs to false in Subject: config.
Obtained by highlighting
It is a feature in Firefox to highlight the domain in the URL bar. Other parts will become gray. You can change a preference to do the full URL darkness. Users can revert to the old behavior by setting browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled to false in Subject: config.
To change this preference:
Enter about: config in the location/URL bar and press ENTER.
If you see a warning, accept (promise to be careful)
Filter: browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled
in the lower panel, double-click that element to switch the value false -
When I copy a url in the address bar in the clipborad and paste it elsewhere, it is truncated. This is particularly annoying when trying to someone send a link to a non-English wikipedia article (or other sites with the "descriptive" URLS.) is there a way to disable this option?
To avoid that you can place a character like a '-' to the far left of the address bar and select the URL without leading the hyphen.

When I open a new tab in Firefox, usually the first thing I do is start typing a URL in the address bar to the new tab (normally that uses AutoComplete to sites that I visit a lot). The new tab usually displays a google search page which is fine. It's there if I need it.
Lately, however, has changed the behavior of firefox when I open a new tab. After that I opened a new tab, my goal is taken from the address bar in the google search box. I mean not the Firefox search box either. I mean the search box on the google page. This occurs after I already started typing if I get the first letter or 2 of what I type in the search box, while the rest began to appear in the google search box. When I type a URL I want in the address bar. Not in the search box.
On reflection, I think that there are a few extensions that try to block or reverse this behavior of the Google search page. If you check your extensions, are one of them suddenly disabled or missing?
You can open the page modules using either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then check down to the disabled extensions.

How is it that, in these new versions of Firefox (I have 21.0), when I opened a link that I recorded, it does NOT display the URL in the bar of addresses?
I can't drag and drop the link in an email, and I don't see the actual address that I'm connected to for reference OR for security reasons. Why is - this has changed?
It becomes necessary to reveal the properties of the URL link that I saved, by using the 'Properties' window, then copy and paste the URL in the address bar of Firefox, until I can do something with it.
I had the same problem. Looked at all the addons and extensions referred to in the conversation between philipp and dadmr. All extensions and plugins off and on again with each shot. Problem has been resolved by disabling app 1.0.85 Goodshop and RealDownloader 1.3.2.28. It may be that these versions were outdated, but were postponed during the upgrade from previous versions of Firefox. I hope this helps.

Cannot submit the URL from the address bar or present Google searches
I can type a URL in the address bar, but I can't submit the URL via the Enter key or 'go' button. I have google as my home page and I can type a search but not submit them. I reinstalled FF several times. I deleted my profiles. I disabled addons. Nothing works. I am running version 20. Any ideas? It's driving me crazy. User on the computer never has this problem.
If you are in a corporate network environment:
20.0 Firefox has a problem with configurations where your Windows profile is stored on a server using a UNC path (for example, \\userdata\greg). Currently, there is a solution for this. A solution could be to choose a local folder for your own settings of Firefox, but that could not be authorized by your COMPUTER. Even if it's less safe, if you need emergency of Firefox, you could switch to Firefox 19.0.2. This article has a link under 'I still want downgrade': install an older version of Firefox.
If you are in a home environment or the local settings folder, then please ignore the above.

I can't stop firefox opening a new tab when I type a URL in the address bar.
I have the ability to open windows into tabs and I love it. My problem is when I type a URL in the address bar, rather than load him on this page, it opens a new page. No matter what type of page I made this. When I CTRL + T to open a TAB, and then type in the address bar and it opens a new tab the TAB Leaving previous, I opened intact. I would like to just so that it loads the page on that I entered.
You have this problem when running in Firefox SafeMode?
A troubleshooting mode.
You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu. Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox to open it again. If this is not the case, see this:

anyoneHello
They are stored in this location in the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TypedPaths (to open the registry in the type of start the regedit search box and press on enter then navigate to this location)
You will see once you click on the folder of TypedPaths a links list called URL1, URL2, URL3, etc etc in the right hand pane which will correspond to the links in your address bar of Solution Explorer, you can right-click and delete them.
Offhand can't remember that if no freebie cleanup apps that, maybe someone else can remember better than I.

How to prevent access to a Page directly from the address bar
We have an obligation to force the user to go through a pre-defined page navigation. In other words, we want then to go through Page 1, and control over this page (only), to go the Page 2 and etc.
We do not want to allow the user to manipulate the URL in the address bar to go directly to Page 2. If they try, ideally, we would like to give them and error and send them to the previous page.
Anyone have any ideas on how best to do this?
Thank you

Enable Session State protection, set the property to Access Page Protection for the page 2 of no URL accessand navigate using logic from page 1 when the control is enabled.

How to restore the URL in the address bar?
When I enter a URL in the address bar, the history or the list of relevant sites does not appear in the drop-down list.
Instead, all complete URL appear empty (with the exception of the best result). While I can see the favicon that I have to scroll through each link to find the right.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

Why the address bar is not URL, but the "go on the web site? How can I see the URL in the address bar?
Here's a few addons that other users have reported to cause the same problem in the past: Gom player, Ask Toolbar, DivX Web Player, RealPlayer Plugin browser Record (more)...
in case you have one of them is present, try to disable/remove it - otherwise you could disable all extensions of your & re-enable each (a browser restart may be required after each step) until find you the culprit.

Each time it manually to enter a url, past a url, or select a url from the address bar, the system requires that I click on the green arrow to go to the url. The entrance to key doe nothing. Am I the only one having this problem?
This problem may be caused by an extension (possibly AVG Safe Search) which does not work properly.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.
If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.
- Choose "Disable all add-ons" on issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode to set window to disable all extensions.
- Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')
In Firefox 4, you can use one of them to start in the questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode:
- Help > restart with disabled modules
- Hold down the SHIFT key while double-clicking the shortcut from the desktop Firefox (Windows)

Dealing with the same companies daily, weekly, or on a very regular basis. When I get a new business account or a customer, I try to remember to delete erroneous results in the address bar. I hit the full url (.com) in the address bar, but Firefox forces of memory (or history) and the only way I can get where I'm going is to type the address from a search engine.
I have everything: completion of the configged, but that didn't work. I also tried autofill.typed, but that has not worked. I tried to change tools > address bar, but the choices are not good. I almost never search bookmarks and my story is too often used to remove. (It seems counterproductive). How can I stop Firefox forcing me to go places I want to go?
It looks like - in the sense to remember shit that I can't remember - and to do my research much more difficult.
I had problems - particularly in Amazonia. I wrote a couple of times. Nobody has ever gotten back me on why FIREFOX has so many problems. If I get answers here, how can I get answers? I don't want to use IE and I don't want to have to avoid certain websites because results suck. I'm in limbo until solutions are found.Thank you.
I don't know if the problem is that Firefox itself changes the address you type in the address bar, or if the site is immediately Firefox redirection to another page when trying to access the address you specified.
For example, 1 & 1 Webmail currently redirects to this site for login: https://webmailcluster.perfora.net/

Unable to see the history URL in the address bar while looking for a site or a Web page
When you type in the address bar; already firefox was looking for my story - visited pages/sites also.
But now stragly its not research in history. Sometimes not even in bookmarks. All value options are displayed in the following images of my Firefox.
If you still have this problem in Mode safe?
You can check for problems with preferences.
Delete a possible user.js file and files numbered prefs-# .js and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.
You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.
