Hey, all the

I just reinstalled windows 8 after upgrading to an i7 4770 k and the new motherboard.  All of a sudden, IE has started to move into the MSN Japan, and the Windows store began installing updates of basic applications, such as games and music in Japanese as well.  Does anyone know how that would have happened and how to fix it?

Help! I'm having a problem where I can never find a solution I can not open my windows 8 app store or PC settings? I can not reset windows 8 because of this problem and have tried the troubleshooting utility. I'm not using ANY antivirus or firewall software to prevent me to access the features of windows 8, it just doesn't work!

He is going through a phase in which the application seems to open (color of the screen with the logo of the app, for example, blue background and icon settings) for about, 1.5 seconds and then closes quickly to the start menu, I really get annoyed by this and would appreciate ANY help.

I tried all these solutions, but ended up reinstalling windows keeping my files and settings.

When I started reinstallation, Setup check internet for updates and installed updates, first.

So when I reinstalled, everything works, store and PC Settings, etc. Try to reinstall from DVD if you have.

  • Windows 8 App store problems/glitch

When I go into Windows 8 App store on my HP PC, it sometimes doesn't let me go. I click on the START button on the keyboard and it takes me home so I try to get on the internet and it brings back me to the store. I click on the option to STORE at HOME and he sent me to the STORE. I don't think that it is supposed to send me to the STORE when I click on INTERNET EXPLORER. Does anyone else have this problem? The only solution seems to be powering down the computer and it start again.

I noticed that you posted this in the section Windows 8 on this site.  If you haven't done so already, I would recommend updating to 8.1 Windows as soon as you can.  This update resolves a large number of problems and provides a lot of great improvements.  Windows 8.1 is a free update for all users of Windows 8.

To get the update, open the app Store and there should be a large banner that said "Get 8.1 for free here.

  • Windows 8 app Store could not update the app with error code 0 x 80070057

    Hello

I have an application that I downloaded from the App Store of Windows 8 (RTM version), who has recently had an update, but Windows Store could not be updated and returned the error code 80070057 0 x.  But after the update failed, Windows Store still lists old as installed APP and calls the updated application.  I tried reapplying the update but it keeps fails with the error 0 x 80070057.  I tried to look for ways to uninstall it, but the Live tile has been removed from the home screen (not listed under all the Apps either), so there is no way to uninstall it.  Now I'm stuck with Windows Store perpetually asking the updated application.
Does anyone know how to uninstall a Windows 8 application without the Live tile?  Thank you.

Open Explorer and in the navigation bar, type \AppDatausernamec:\users\

Replace username with your actual user name, for example c:\users\debbie\appdata

It is a hidden folder, you cannot display it by default unless you authorize the display of hidden folders.

  • Reinstall Windows 8 App Store.

I used a cleaning software to clean my pc of windows 8. It has accidentally deleted the app Store of windows 8 and I am not able to open again and search for windows applications 8. Could you please tell me how to reinstall the windows 8 app to store and make available in smart display.

Next, you need to try running sfc/scannow and if it does not use the laptop settings, refresh windows. It will be a pain since you will need to reinstall all your programs added. Cleaning PC utilities are not supposed to be used on Windows 8, especially those of earlier versions of windows. 8 win has all the tools you need, these utilities can be too aggressive and cause problems.

Edit - Trying to restart the computer just before you do anything. 8 win can sometimes correct errors.

    Hi @NavinVerma ,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook g6 and the error code is 0x80072EFD appearing as you try to use the App Store 10. Here is a linkfrom Microsoft which indicates there is a required update.

You can try to use theWindows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

Here is a document that shows how update the drivers that do not work correctly with Windows 10.

If you run a virus protection program, try to disable it temporarily.

If that doesn't help, do a right-click on the app Store of Windows and then uninstall it. Before reinstalling.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • Windows 8 app store.

Hello guys, I have a problem with the app store of windows 8 and tiles. First of all:

    1. I use a screen resolution of 1366 * 768

    2. my laptop has about 220 GB hard drive left

    3. I already tried this method: button windows + R and then by typing wsreset.exe. Nothing happened, a message came to show the app store cache is cleared and I can now browse the app store... But the screen remains blank (white)... and after a few minutes, it starts again to load...

    4. I have high speed internet, so I don't think it's due because of my internet connections.

I need your help guys... and one more thing... when the app store was oppening... it installed no updates for the most part, he showed just waiting and after a few minutes, he showed - could not install the update. My copy of windows 8 is legitimate and not pirated and it came preinstalled on my laptop.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello Nadine.

Please keep us updated on the status and we appreciate your patience on this issue.

From the description provided, I understand that the App Store Windows does not work. In addition, clear the cache store has not helped solve the problem.

Before continuing, please check if Windows Date and time is set to Automatic and remedy.

Try using the following command line in the command prompt window and see if it helps to re-register the App Store and fix.

    PowerShell - ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage - registry DisableDevelopmentMode-$Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML

If the recommendation above fails to solve the problem, there may be a chance that there is a problem with the integrity of the system. I recommend you to use the System File Checker and see if that fixes the problem.
