Display of original filenames of the photos?
My older photos have file names that provide a description of the content of the photo.
In the latest version of Photos for Mac, only a limited number of characters is visible in the details pane.
is it possible to display the full name of the original file to the photos? (There used to be an option "Show in Finder", but that seems to have disappeared).
Thank you
You can click the Info Panel file name field, enter ⌘A to select all, then copy and paste the name of the file where you want, for example, the title field or description.
The title will be shown, if you enlarge the photo.

I love PowerPhotos. This companion Photos app allows you to view the pictures in mode list like Aperture, and and you can display the names of files and other metadata in list or display filenames under thumbnails.

What is happening in the original file of the photo when I import it in Photos and I have the "Delete after import" box checked?
When organizing photos for Photos for Mac app, I find that the Photos makes "copies" of files within the library of Photos and must reference a file if your settings are such that you do not copy the original files in the Photos app.
Trying to manage the disk space for the Macbook Pro.
The delete after import is available only when you import a device - a camera, card, an iPhone, but not when you import files from a folder on the system drive.
You can delete the local image files of your system drive yourself, once you have imported the Photos and they were copied in the photo library.
I would never use the option "delete after Import. The files will be deleted until you can check if the files have been imported correctly. If you find out later, that some of the imported files are corupted and illegible, it will be repeated o toolate import, because the files have been deleted from the device. Or worse, if pictures should plant a reason any during the import, all the pictures will be lost, if you have enabled "delete after import.

Display of reduced Versions of the Photos to the synchronized Collections
I want to post pictures of 1400 to a collection synchronized so that a client can display, like and comment.
Problem is, I don't want to lose cloud storage vomit 1400 full-size photos.
Is it possible to send versions of 'glimpse' of the files to the collection synchronized so that once I use the "share link", I don't eat a lot of storage?
Ideally, I want to provide an easy way for my client to go through these photos, choose comment and have that information taken directly to lightroom in order to take his selection and start to change.
Thank you!
You synchronize Lightroom mobile? Note that the companies full images are not synchronized; Instead, a smart preview is synchronized. See this: Lightroom Mobile and Smart insights "Blog of Julieanne Kost .

Sort order of the photos in albums to iCloud
When I add the creation of an album using Photos shared on iCloud, pictures are sorted by date, oldest first, any order, they were initially classified as. Is there a way to change that to preserve the original order of the photos, or at the very least, use manually in the order, I want to use?
Shared albums are sorted by the order, they are added to the album if you wish in a precise order add them manually one by one.

Changing the file names of the photos used in the projects final cut express
HI, I have a lot of pictures that I've used in some express HD projects final cuts.
File names are not descriptive file name convention, but just standard camera. I want to add descriptive names, which will come out in the finder, but I don't want to damage the projects that I have created. I guess I could change one by one and tell the system where each file. But is there a better way? Thank you!!
If you change the names in the Finder, all clips in your projects will lose the path of the file and you will have to redo the link.
Changing names within the CTF will work OK but will not appear in the Finder, probably it will not work for you.
I suggest you set the browser to display a miniature clip of the photo, that is maybe a solution to easily identify clips.

The contents of the iPhoto library "copy of iPhoto library" has already been migrated to Photos. Open the Photos to display your library or use a compatible version of iPhoto to open the iPhoto library.
What you trying to do?
You want to open your iPhoto library in iPhoto or the new Photos.app? and what version of Mac OS X and iPhoto you have installed on your Mac?
If you have improved your Mac to Mac OS X 10.11,2, El Capitan, you can open your photo libraries or in News Photos for application mac or you can continue to use iPhoto, but only iPhoto 9.6.1 will work on El Capitan.
IPhoto update (see user tip of Barney: cannot be updated iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store)
Once an iPhoto Library was opened in Photos the extension will change to ".migratedphotolibrary". To open this library in iPhoto again, change the extension of filename in '.photolibrary '.

I'm a newcomer to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC 2015.4 but found after importing photo in the window to develop and duplication of the view forward and after that, the photo is different from the original before even I did any changes. Surely, they should be the same. Is it normal or I do something wrong?
Well, it's a shot in the water, but I think it was affecting a case recently where a defective monitor due to profile either the front or after the image do not display at all, so I thought the sRGB monitor profile could be worth trying.

All my photos are displayed as "oldest first". I want to change that "declining" but it doesn't seem to be an option as the Dungeon sorted oldest first is "grayed" and is not accessible."
You can't because it's not an option - you can ask Apple - http://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html
It will contain all the photos - so you can make a smart album with a criterion not responding as date is not 1/1/1000 intelligent alum can be sorted by title or date, alphabetical order
