Display profile

Hello

I have an iMac 27 "3.4 Ghz Intel Core i7 (November 2011), OSX 10.11.6

Since I have the pain my eyes (working too in front of the screen, even with low light and black background), I change the profile of the screen (System preferences/display/color).

I create (calibration button) a new profile with less blue (which is the main problem for the eyes).

It works but randomly (every x minutes) select System rear original profile.

I have to select once again my profile regularly.

I deleted the profile iMac (original profile), but it changes again to a profile much more blue in any case.

Any idea of balance this problem? (I want to keep my profile)

Thank you

Ben

Something has occurred where now when I run a program that is set to a resolution of 3840 x 240, I get fast scrolling of the black horizontal bars on the screen and the monitor estimated FPS is much too high - about 500 or more, but it should be just around 120. • Use of predefined display profiles

I have a question about setting up a monitor profile for my monitor. I use CC (Photoshop, Lightroom) on my MacPro laptop. To understand that the best was to define a profile for my monitor is to use a calibration tool. If this is the case why my laptop come with color profiles preinstalled such as Adobe 1998 RGB, Apple RGB, RGB PhotoPro, etc.. If one of them affecting my monitor profile is wrong to give an accurate result, why do I have these profiles of monitor?  What is the use for these preset profiles and what will happen if I updated my profile to display one of them?

I was wondering why they were listed as the options profile when it makes no sense (never) use

I'm not familiar with the Mac, but Windows, all ICC profiles are in the same system folder and my guess is that it's the same thing on a Mac. That's probably why.

There are in fact situations where you might like troubleshooting, use sRGB as a monitor profile - if you think you have a broken monitor profile.

The symptoms can be for example, a yellow cast in Photoshop, or different colors in Lightroom and Photoshop. More regular monitors disaply colors close to the sRGB color space, so if assigning the sRGB solved the problem monitor profile, the solution would be to calibrate the monitor with a standard material - that ideally, you should do it in all cases.

  • What display on MacbookPro (Retina) profile is suitable for work in Photoshop?

Hi, I work on Photoshop for years (about a self-taught) but only recently learned about "color management" etc. (shame on me!)

I am currently editing illustrations with watercolor scanned into Photoshop CC, the retina MacbookPro.

After reading numerous amounts of articles on the Photoshop color settings/management/profiles, there is always something I'm not sure with: display profile

For the moment, the display profile is set to its default value; LCD display.

I would like to work in photoshop with sRGB Spaces(but eventually convert it to CMYK in InDesign) work.

Or do nothing of this case because I work only on my laptop and use no display external or calibration...

I would really appreciate the help!

    Thank you

    Haruna

The profile there factory (display or color LCD) value is a good default value.

This factory profile is generic, so the best profile is that you do with a separate device that measures your specific display and generates a custom profile for your screen. If you don't have one of those, stick with the default profile this set of Apple.

This profile is intended to say OS X how your screen reproduced color, so choose either display profiles such as Adobe RGB or sRGB in the system displays preferences. You should only choose a profile that appears after selecting "show profiles for this display only". If you want to work in sRGB, choose sRGB as RGB working space in Photoshop color settings. When you save a Photoshop file (with save under), be sure to only incorporate the color profile is selected. In this way, when you have InDesign convert RGB to CMYK images, he'll know what kind of RGB is the conversion of.

  • How photoshop round of dual display, each with a different profile?

I am looking to buy the dual display for photo editing and would like to have each calibrated and profiled differently - 1 for web output and one for the print output. I use Mac OS and I understand that ICC (Photoshop and Lightroom) compatible applications use the system default profile to display the colors regardless of the operating system. I'm curious to know if photoshop is capable of managing 2 display profiles stored on the system to match each display? I am concerned that 1 only one profile can be defined by default and that he will use this profile for both screens.

Yes, it uses a different profile for each monitor.

But your thinking is dead wrong.  You do not calibrate and profile a monitor 'to print' or 'Web'.

You calibrate and profile a monitor to display the colors better, more precise and natural, it can handle.

The output is considered through Proofing (menu items "test" and "test colors" in the display menu of Photoshop), a topic on which you need to do a lot of reading.  Start with the help files in Photoshop.

  • Mobile profiles (phone and Tablet) screen does not display does not correctly

    RoboHelp 11 on a Windows 7 machine

I have a small project that I asked in August and just pick it up again today. The only changes that I made today have a background color in the selected schema and adding browsers to the Profiles screen (mobile phone, desktop),. I also changed the pixel size of screen above and saved profiles, but eventually changed his mind and changed their return. I don't know if it would make any difference to this problem. (When I did size changes HR told me to update media queries, but I do not use all... or at least none came in functionality to handle media queries.)

Then I re-generated output, but the Tablet and phone screen sizes are does not display correctly when I tested it by changing the size of my browser - there is a browser size quite large "dead zone" where no content is displayed at all (which almost makes appear as the 'sensible' part of the output does not work), inland navigation (front and rear bar and buttons) is pushed upwards in the header bar , and no horizontal browser scroll bar appears so that I can scroll to see the edge of the large images. I mainly use IE but it happened as well as Firefox and Chrome. The desktop display seems to work very well. (I'm sorry I have no screenshots now - I can provide some if necessary.)

I was wondering if it had something to do with my chosen 'model' but a new project that uses that even a (Theme1_Standard) had no problem. Now, I also noticed that the model seems to have changed since I was last in Robohelp, because the overview of model unchanged today was not the same as the model from August. The Readme file for the latest patch does not mention everything that I thought that seemed to be related.

As I said, I changed were all one color, browsers display profile and the profile screen sizes which I subsequently put discarded. I'm completely at a loss as to what caused this and how to fix it. I feel like an OAF comprehensive because it seems to be related to something I * DID * but back on my steps gave nothing.

    Thank you!

    UPDATE

Still having this problem, but in poking around I discovered that some of the program files on my local machine have been updated in mid-September (when it looks like ReadMe file in the last patch was installed on my computer) and others have been updated mid-October (the first time I was in HR since mid-August, so anything is a not then generate). I don't know if this means anything, but to me it seems slightly suspicious. THX.

I tried to reproduce the problem, but I can't get the the problem you describe. I do not have a dead zone and wide content scroll correctly.

The screenshots are pointing to the former route Theme1, so there may be a problem here. Can you please try the following:

    • Delete the layout of your project.
    • In Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder! ScreenLayout! in your RoboHelp project and delete the Theme1 folder.
    • Claire the! SSL! folder.
    • Clear the DPC.
    • Remove the output that you previously generated to ensure that no old file remains.
    • Open RoboHelp, add the layout and generate without making any changes? It's working now?

Just to be on the safe side, Adobe has released a fix for HR 11.0.3 that some sensitive issues in layouts, however not correct the issues identified in this thread: questions in RoboHelp 11.0.3

  • How to display correct sRGB images in applications unmanaged Vista with a wide range of display?

    Hi all

This isn't a simple question, and I don't expect the answers to be simple either.

    1. I have vista home premium
    2. I have a wide range of LCD, a screen with a significantly wider than the sRGB color profile (sometimes incorrectly called a display Adobe RGB)
    3. I have it calibrated with a Spyder3Elite
    4. Images look GREAT in color managed applications (including the windows photo gallery)
    5. Photos have air saturated outside color management applications, even if they are sRGB images.

Here's what I need.  If an application is not color management then Vista should apply the sRGB profile AND map it on my monitor profile.

What is happening now is the image is mapped directly to the color space of the monitor and let the oversaturated colors. The end result is that all images within windows and Internet Explorer are saturated. The only solution for navigation is to use a plugin to make the management of the colours of firefox or use safari.

BTW. Even if windows photo gallery is the color of the slide show management is not argghhh.

I have looked at the Advanced tab on the Vista color management, but did not find ANY documentation on the 'device profile' or 'View profile status' settings. They seem to be associated with what I need, but there is nothing in the help about it. What do mean? second question, sorry)

    Concerning
    JzE

PS. I checked the color management using the 4 images at http://www.color.org/version4html.xalter. I have saved their drive and use them as a reference to quickly check if an application is successful or not color.

I received this reply from Michael Bourgoin. Thank you, Michael, we now have at least one answer...

    Hi J___,.

I wish I could give you some good news, but the fact is that most of the components of windows and the Windows desktop are always not color management. The Windows Photo Gallery and Windows Live Photo Gallery are the only elements of the Windows color reach the display profile. Most office applications will honor profiles embedded in images, source but then they convert to sRGB and throw it on the screen. And IE is not even honor profiles embedded in images...

That you have determined, the settings in the color management control panel affect only the applications of color management. The settings in the tab Cpl Advanced CM are used to provide default values for the missing profiles needed for the creation of color transformation for WCS in color management applications. Again not to help.

Regarding the application non-management of color management color "behind their backs" goes, it's very difficult to do in general. There is no easy way for the OS to tell if the color data that renders an application has already been color managed, or not.

We have a technology called high color which will be in Windows 7 that aims to solve this problem. Color high-definition given color are first converted into a color space extended which uses the sRGB primaries, but which allows the values less than 0.0 and 1.0 above (let's call it sRGB-XR). Colourful is closely related to xvYCC and X.v.color of Sony. Range wide color data can be converted in this space with no loss. Displays (and maps) that support colourful are necessary to convert this space sRGB-XR internally to their native color space. With color high definition, the United Nations - RGB color management is treated as sRGB, which is unchanged when converted to sRGB-XR space (it's all in the [0.1] part of the encoding). But then peripheral compatible High Color will map correctly that in their native space, so the sRGB data never get oversaturated in being treated as if she was already in wide range native of screen space (as happens now). And any image content real wide range gets correctly mapped to take advantage of the wide range of the screen. The plumbing for High Color is under Windows 7. However, the Desktop Window Manager could not implement a high color support in time (this requires the use of a fixed or floating point rendering surface), if the Bureau will not use color high definition, however, in Win7. Maybe the next time.

I would like to be able to give more excuses, explanations and communities.

  • created the color profile loading

    Hello

    I had this problem before.

I work with Imac end 2015 retina 4K and the operating system's EL Capitan.

    Photoshop CC 2015-5

I created a new profile of color with a spyder 2 (I ordered a new color Munky, incidentally)

and the software I used was Displaycal 5.

When I open a file with overview of the Mac, the colors and the contrast is perfect.

When I open the same file with the Adobe Bridge or Photoshop CC 2015 products

the contrast is far from bright and the colors are not correct.

Now, I guess to see the new file created color in bridge color settings according to a tutorial.

But right now, I don't see the new color profile.

In the workspaces from photoshop, I see the profile, but no matter what I do the photo are much to high heat.

In the past with my old Mac and earlier versions of photoshop, I never had this problem.

The colors and contrast have been even the glimpse of the I mac.

I really hope you can help me.

    Thank you very much

    Richard

View > proof > Monitor RGB turns off the whole display color management chain. It's his goal (insofar as it is never desirable). In short, turn off and leave it off.

Different color-managed applications display differently, there is a problem with the display profile. All color management applications should display always the same, regardless of the profile/the document workspace. That is the question to have a color display managed pipeline.

Redo the whole process, make sure you that have all the settings as you wish. I have not used Dispcal/Argyll in quite awhile, but it is a fairly large and complex software piece.

A small difference between the apps that are color management and not, is normal and expected. What is the size that the difference is, depends on the characteristics of the screen in question.

That said, the sensor Spyder 2 useless next with modern LED and wide range of displays, and despite this, the overall accuracy was not very good at first. So you can wait until you get the new sensor.

  • ParticleShop Plugin for Photoshop display number

I recently bought ParticleShop as a plugin for Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. When I open a photo by using the plug-in by Lightroom ParticleShop colors are fine. When I open the same photo in Photoshop, the colors are fine however, when I open the picture in the ParticleShop plugin via the menu of Photoshop filters, the colours look desaturated. I have made sure that the image is in RGB and 8-bit color. Anyone know what could be the cause? My monitors were calibrated.

Take a look at this thread that seems to be the same problem. Unfortunately the OP has not noted the response as correct so we do not know if the solution worked or not, but people don't often respond again after their problem is resolved.

    Change of colors in plugin

Dag usually gets right color issues. As you already sure that your image has embedded sRGB is the most likely thing becomes a broken screen profile. I see that you are on the Windows version, which is? Follow the instructions of Dag on the use of one of the windows built in display profiles, the applet in the control panel color management, Photoshop. If the color is uniform, make a new profile to display with your calibrator.

  • Calibrate vs Adobe RGB profile

    Hello!

I am trying to get my printed canvases in a reliable way.   I photographed my paintings, the uploaded on PHOTOSHOP, edited and saved then their printed in a local print shop.  I did all this, but what print does not match my retouching photoshop/monitor of paintings at all.

They told me that I need to get my monitor calibrated using a product called Spyder5Pro and then use display profile Adobe RGB 1998.

I used the function of my iMac monitor calibration, but it created some weird colors for my monitor.  It also seems to create it's own display different from the profile Adobe RGB 1998 profile.  They seem to be mutually profiles!

I have for the Spyder5Pro, but now I wonder if it will create its own profile to display, as different from the Adobe RGB 1998.

How do I as well to calibrate my monitor AND use the Adobe RGB profile?

My goal is to be able to create my own JPEG files for printing purposes, because I like editing my own photos of my paintings, and the cost of printing to scan my paintings and then colour correct them is crazy.

    Help!  ... and thank you!

  • How to select a color printer profile in Lightroom.

I have a couple of profiles of color icc printer installed in Windows, and I can see them in the color management module. In Lightroom, when I want to print to a jpeg file, and then select the color management, I get a few choices but not the profiles that I installed. If I choose ONE, I'm supposed to see a list of my other profiles, but do not see. What can I do? I deleted and reinstalled the profiles, but that does not change. Yjamks.

LR doesn't show you what profiles are installed on your computer.

Under LR / Print / print / profile: click the other...

On the popup put a check mark in the display profiles include at the bottom and you should see a list with boxes to tick, that you can select.

If you do not see this, then make a print screen and show us what you see by including this print-screen in a message, here.

I think there are a lot of other profiles in the example above, because the user providing screenshots has also installed Photoshop that installs a certain other profiles.  If you have installed LR there that many others, but I expect to see the RGB those you already have visible with check marks next to them already.
