Display screen is reversed: black screen with white letters

My screen goes black with the letters white and blue; very difficult to see/use. My email is all black screen, white letters. How can I change into white, black letters?

Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your laptop computer-graphics/computer card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

I read a few threads on the forums and have tried to take the battery out and pressing the button for 30secs-2mins (tried twice). I can access everything ok in Mode safe, so made a malware bites scan & clean registry. No maleware was found and I rebooted, but always the same black screen when you connect in normal mode.     Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

As it works OK in safe mode, then it's SOMETHING that is loaded at startup which is screw up the display.  Could be a runtime program. could be drivers, might be a Service.

    No easy way to tell.

Demarrer start in safe mode, type MSCONFIG in the start area.  When that opens, turn off ALL startup items. Reset.

The PC now work, if one (or more) of these numbers - and you have to go through a tedious process of re-enabling them one at a time until the PC fails again.  The last of them that you re-activated was the problem.

Here is a tutorial on how to do it: http://www.howtogeek.com/74523/how-to-disable-startup-programs-in-windows/

If the PC still does not work with all startup items disabled, then return to msconfig and click on the Services tab.  Check the hide services Ms.  Then turn off half superior Services.  Reset.

If the problem is resolved, you will need to go through a tedious process of reactivating a Service at a time until you find the one that is the problem.

If the problem is not resolved, turn off the other half of the services.  Repeat as above.

    No easy way to do...

    Good luck

  • Boots Vista black screen with white cursor and nothing else (Black Screen of Death)

After a download from Microsoft update last week, my system has rebooted. He first had a screen blue error, rebooted, reported a disk error and automatically run CHKDSK. Since then, the system has started a black with white slider screen and nothing else. This happens at startup options (Normal, safe, safe with the last command good known configuration). Not even sticky keys would come to the top. CTRL-Alt-Delete, Ctrl-Alt-Esc and all other keys has nothing did. Even with a right click.

I searched all over the web for solutions. I found (and tried) several over the past week, but nothing has worked.

    Here's what I tried...

F8 held key on boot to the top and entered the startup recovery. Ran of recovery. Initially so found of disk errors. Those fixed. Then he said he could not repair the system and reported two pilot errors.

Tried system restore. He said that I had no restore points (even if I know that I had before).

With the help of recovery options, I went to the command prompt. Asked to RegEdit and load the Software hive. Checked the connection entry Windows NT; made sure, it has been set to explorer.exe

The system, checked RpcSs Key hive. Already the NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService value

Renamed event connects winevt and not create the Logs folder

Removed the hard drive. Attached to another system (as slaves), and the registered file permissions. They have screwed everything up. The fixed file permissions and drive put back in original system.

Œuvres self-retaining keys now. Do not, however, as my sticky keys doesn't have a link to configuration.

Went back into recovery startup via the F8 key at startup. Now, when I run start recovery, it says that everything is going well and there is no problem.

I have download the hotfix from article 977675 Microsoft, but I don't know how I can apply it without being able to get into windows. I would like to contact MS e-mail or chat support, but I can't get the product ID without being able to connect (frustrating talk).

I would like to reinstall OS, but HP does not provide an installation disc with their systems (only a full restore partition). My system is backed up (with the exception of the Windows folder), but I really don't want to have to make a full recovery, as I have a lot of specialized programs and settings that would probably take me a week to re - install and re - set.

    Anyone have any new ideas?

    Hello

Here's my usual BlackScreen convenience store, because it may be that you haven't tried
or if you have access you might be able to come back and start some of them.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

  • Black screen with white cursor at the end of the New Installation

I try to perform a new installation of Windows Vista Home Premium (64 bit) on a Dell Inspiron 1545. The hard drive was completely wiped out and I don't have the original disks (I use a Vista CD from another computer Dell). Installation is proceeding normally up to the phase of "Complete installation" where it crashes for almost an hour and then goes to a black screen with a white cursor.

I have tried all the following suggestions (found here and on other sites online):

Reset the BIOS has no effect.

By pressing SHIFT 5 times has no effect.

CTRL + Alt + Delete has no effect.

Rename to the event log file has no effect.

Remove one of the memory modules if the computer has only 2 GB installed has no effect.

Running CHKDSK finds no error, and has no effect.

The attempt to start safe mode causes hang crcdisk.sys.

Try a normal boot hangs at the screen loading w / loading scroll bar "stuttering".

Startup Repair runs for hours with no results (I said to cancel after you let it run overnight only to find it still 'work' in the morning)

    Does anyone have suggestions more?

    Thanks in advance! : D

    Hello

    1. when exactly this problem?

2 did you change on your computer?

I suggest you remove any external devices.

I also suggest you insert the DVD and try to install windows 7.

I also suggest you to go BIOS and select CD/DVD boot as the option your priority and check.

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • Black screen with white horizontal lines

Every other time I start my computer from any State that it is in French - the screen is black or half black with 2 or 3 white lines which crosses the middle section horizontally. I run Windows Vista on my HP TouchSmart TX2 laptop. I spoke with HP who think it's a software issue. Any help would be great!

First of all, you can install the latest video drivers from HP. If that solves your problem, then HP was right, and that's fine. • Display screen with Windows 7 problem

    Original title: Monitor problem

    Before I explain my problem.

First of all, let me tell you a little about myself.  I'm 73 and I am a Novice in computers and do not consider myself an expert...  I have a degree in electronics with over 40 years of experience. I've built several computers for family and friends for years.  The problem, which I'll explain you completely confused me.

I have a 24 "I-Inc monitor that I bought in 2008.  It has a nice clear image that never changed.  Best deal I've ever done in the monitors.  This monitor is connected to my computer main clocked i5 of operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate Professional Media Center 6.01.7601 Service Pack 1 (64-bit) fully updated.  Monitor is driven by video card NVIDIA GeForce 210

Then, all of a sudden a few weeks ago the screen on the monitor began to go dark and back, dark and backward, dark and back.  The last dark anywhere among the second up to 30 seconds and the flashing would go one to five minutes.  Then stop and everything is fine.  So maybe some time later, I went to a different Web site it would start again.  Now, let me say clearly, there is nothing wrong with this monitor or my PC, which brings me to my next story.

After fighting this monster of darkness for a few days, I decided to move it to what I call my computer of the workshop.  This computer has i3 cpu with NVIDIA GeForce 210 also in perfect condition.  This computer is also a system dual boot, AND this IS A SAME KEY PART.

It has Ubuntu 14.04.3 md64 (my PC is 64bt) AND 10 for Windows.  This monitor is also connected with a HDMI cable and when I plugged it in this workshop cpu, I first booted to Ubuntu.  Everything was great for about a minute then the monster of darkness began her dance for about two minutes then stopped and the screen image was perfect.  I flipped around for a while, then the monster of darkness happens again.

OK, so I decided to stop and start Windows 10.  You may not believe this, but with 10 Windows, IT IS No. MONSTER of DARKNESS... PERIOD!  Still, it is still connected to my cp Studio win 10, and I'm interested in what I type and the image is perfect.

My conclusions: nothing wrong with the monitor that is always connected to the cp workshop and work perfect.

All is well with all of my equipment in each system.  I use my monitor backup on my main system and all is well.

    Issues related to the:

Why this monitor would work to win 10 and not in Win 7, where he worked once for years?

    Hello

Please provide detailed information on this issue. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

Sometimes we can deal with this issue because of the incompatibility between the display with your operating system drivers. It is important to update the computer and drivers also requires the update. I understand that you have tried to solve the problem and it fixed with Windows 10. This could be due to the compatibility of the display adapter.

In the future, if you have questions related to Windows, please do not hesitate to write us and we will be happy to help you.
