Disruption of Mozilla

Gentlemen, I used Mozilla for years... no problem until today. I turned on the computer (by normal) and a Mozilla icon opens to allow access to Mozilla. OK, I did. Once you have done so, I proceeded to download my files as usual. Now, I can't get in any URL. "Is there a problem with this page." I turned it off and tried... again no difference.

What should do? I have Microsoft Please call me at the... EDIT phone number deleted. Privacy issue. Please, don't post phone numbers, this is a public forum and indexed by search engines. ~ J99

I'm stuck and need help quickly.

Thank you

Is the address bar still work, perhaps to open a page included as subject: House?

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and allow your firewall to ask permission to get access full and unrestricted, again to install for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

Unfortunately, it takes on its own to download anyway. I like Firefox; However, I was informed by my school where I teach online courses, there are problems with Firefox 23 and our LMS. I DON'T want to have to keep installing Firefox 22 throughout the semester. How can I get the browser crazy to stop doing what he wants and to pay attention to my settings? Thank you

  • How can you correct error did not find the mozilla runtime

    the error comes when I try to get on the internet

    In my view, this usually indicates some sort of damage in the Firefox program folder. Here's what I suggest:

    Clean reinstall it

    We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (not incompatible, corrupt or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (A) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 40.0.2 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (B) the release of Firefox (if any).

    (C) to rename the program folder, either:

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (D) to run the installation program that you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

    Firefox will start normally now?

    Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • \OldFirefox\browser\plugins
  • Why Mozilla Firefox is not admit profile bug, about 'plugin is not responding' Shockwave problem?

    I am a long time user, more than 10 years, Firefox and Netscape before that. This is the first time I've ever seen "plugin is not responding", and even less for Shockwave. I followed subject suggested solution. Checked plugins updated and reinstalled several even if they were up-to-date. Even reinstalled Firefox. Performed a full scan of Norton on my system (totally transparent). Finally. On the forum to help ADOBE, not on Mozilla (!), someone said blowing their profile and starting again solved the problem. This is a drastic measure, because it nukes all saved Firefox bookmark and setting. BUT THIS MARKET. Dear Mozilla sneaky: you have a bug in PROFILE. Please, admit it and fix it.

    Of course, first try the less disruptive mechanisms. But if they don't work, as they DID NOT for me:
    (1) rename/move your profile truncated (courtesy of a behaviour Firefox bad unknown or ignored) then that is the road - in other words, actually deleted. You can also simply delete the profile.
    (2) then create a new profile
    (3) Optional: If you have saved the wrong profile, try to send it to Mozilla so that they can find and fix their bug

    To locate the file bad profile, follow the instructions in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data?redirectlocale=en-US & redirectslug = Profiles

    Note from Moderator: ' Rename/move your profile' is not the same as deleting what you always have access to files in the particular profile of things like bookmarks. In addition, if you want to rename or move your profile and automatically create a new default profile, the file to rename or move is the Firefox folder that contains the file profiles.ini. See article profiles for its location.

  • Show hide layers works under IE, but only 'shows' all other div in Mozilla

    Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    I use PHP/MySQL/Javascript/CSS with Dreamweaver & ADDT Dreamweaver.

    What I do:

    Create a set with one hand, a card google and 9 photo thumbnails all which, once clicked raise their own div. hidden in IE, Safari and Google Chrome, it works very well. INE Mozilla and Netscape only every other div will appear.

    The code for two of the elements:

    CSS:

    {#photo_main}
    position: absolute;
    left: 11px;
    top: 287px;
    Width: 568px;
    height: 25px;
    z index: 13;
    visibility: hidden;
    }

    {#photo_1}
    position: absolute;
    left: 11px;
    top: 287px;
    Width: 568px;
    height: 25px;
    z index: 13;
    visibility: hidden;
    }

    In this example, photo_main will not work, but picture_1 will work. Any thoughts?

    Initially, I had the onclick event in an anchor tag. push the browser to the top of the page. still disrupts the flow of the page. I didn't want the page jumps all the time, so I removed the .  I didn't know I could use a tag without the href part - now that I know, I removed the onclick of the image tag.

    I didn't do it the way you did or the other.  The upper part of the page thing is easily fixed in one of two ways:

    1. the use

    2. use a false return on the link, for example,

    Either people would be much more suitable for this use, in my opinion.

    I found the solution to my problem, I do not know why - if I remove all the comments I got me - it works fine.

    Good point.  The reason why remove your comments worked, is that all your comments are poorly trained.  You can't do an HTML comment like this-

    It must instead be like this-
