Distortion of the sound every 20 seconds on Satellite C

When listening to audio with and without a helmet, every 20 seconds or so the output sound is deformed for several seconds and in some cases this sound distortion also causes computer to freeze completely display.

My PC is a Toshiba Satellite series C running Windows 7.

Any suggestions please?

Please be so kind and post some info about this noise problem.
Are you using the original pre-installed OS that you got with your laptop?
Have you noticed this problem on the first day?
Have you noticed this problem whenever you hear the music and watch movies using different actors?
With other words, it's a kind of general problem on your laptop?

When this happens you noticed most high HDD activity in the background (System analysis, installation of updates or something similar)?

  • Latency problem causing the distortion of the sound

    I have explored a number of positions and found out that my relatively frequent distortion of the sound corresponds to a problem of latency that may occur every 15 seconds, give or take a second, higher than 29000us, but usually about 20000us.

    I disabled the common things in one by one, Device Manager without changing the latency.

    I did not have a TV tuner in the Manager devices, but uninstalled the driver of software without modification.

    Finally, I got this problem resolved by HP. Their initial option was to ask me to re - install the image on the hard disk, which got rid of a lot of marketing software originally installed when sold, but it had no effect on the noise/latency problem

    Initially, I found the driver for ACPI-composite battery in Device Manager seems to cause the every 15 sec 20000us latency spike, because when I turned it off it, the problem disappeared. However, this driver was not what has been corrected to fix the problem.

    Care of HP phone rang finally comes with their solution, and it was as follows (and did not involve the composite battery ACPI driver). Despite the use of the HP support assistant, none of these changes has been marked.

    1. I was told to go to the HP website and download an update of the BIOS recently transferred to my laptop - everything seemed to say that it has fixed a graphics issue. This update of the bios makes it immediately fixed the problem, if there were still a few peaks of latency up to 8000us without audio effect and without that there is no regularity of appearance.

    2. I was also told to download the audio driver who had recently been transferred (since I first noticed my problem). This resulted in latency spikes never exceeding 2000us (and generally not exceeding do not 600us)

    I find it interesting that support assistant did not recommend these updates, and the audio driver is always marked as updated during the specific test, despite a seemingly better being available.

    Thanks for the comments, and I'm happy that you found.  Although I'm not surprised that an msiInstaller error could have caused a "critical stop" but I never thought that he would deliver the error never seconds.

    @JudsonWelcher:

    I suggest you also check your event viewer to find errors msiinstaller.  I've seen other posts where a sound "critical stop" appears to be linked to these errors (but like I said above, not continuous repetitions of the error).

    There is no easy way that I know to track this sort of thing.  Before you start the method of 'Clean boot' or start using the process monitor, open the sound control panel applet and scroll down to check that Windows XP stop critique.wav has not been assigned to certain events in addition (or instead of) a real stop critical Windows.

  • Hum/buffering sound every few seconds when the streaming videos online.

    I can't stream videos online (IE youtube, vimeo, etc.).  Every few seconds the sound will sound buffer. The photo is very good all the time. I have updated all drivers, tried to change the 16-bit sound, 440000Hz, update flash, silverlight etc. I also tried several browsers such as IE, firefox and chrome.

    I found a solution that is far from ideal, but if I disable the Realtek High Definition Audio, restart the computer and then reactivates the Realtek High Definition Audio, the sound buffer disappears. Unfortunately the its buffer returns the next time I start the computer.

    Does anyone have a more permanent solution than the deactivation of the sound system - reboot and then reactivating og the sound system?

    I'm having the same problem. I followed your steps with the sound and even the glitching. Any other suggestions? Everything is updated, I use windows 8.1 it seems to be a little better on the Netflix App, but from time to time it will happen. Cannot watch Youtube or any other video. Tried to download the Youtube app to see if it is useful, and it was worse. Thank you!

    Please can someone help me solve a troublesome problem on this laptop. Whenever I'm playing a video or another function with his partner, playback is distorted by intermittent, skippy and stuttering (sometimes looks like a dalek, for lack of a better description).

  • How to use interval set to raise the event every 5 seconds when if the statement is true?

    Here is a snippet of code something to im:

    if (MC_battleTrigR1a.hitTest(this._x, this._y, true)) {
         if (random(220) == 0) {
         //random(220) the code is onEnterFrame and so this random function is called repeatedly until eventually random(220) == 0;
         trace("random");
         gotoAndStop("battle");
         }
         //setInterval(???)
         //every 5 seconds->  trace("5sec"); and gotoAndStop("battle");
    }

    The player wanders in a box, in a random delay or after 5 seconds, it should send the player to the frame labeled: battle

    It works with the random (220) but I don't know how to do certainly go to frame: battle after 5 seconds.

    I don't know how to use setInterval correctly, I tried and failed.
    The code is nested in the onEnterFrame

    Chassis number: 17

    I didn't say that you should avoid using onEnterFrame.  I said that your setTimeout must be outside your onEnterFrame loop:

    var tl:MovieClip = this;

    tl.onEnterFrame = function () {     if (MC_battleTrigR1a.hitTest(MC_player._x, MC_player._y, true)) {          delete this.onEnterFrame;          clearTimeout(gotoBattleTO);          gotoBattle();     }};

    function gotoBattle() {     clearTimeout(gotoBattleTO);     delete tl.onEnterFrame;     gotoAndStop("battle");}

    var gotoBattleTO:Number = setTimeout(gotoBattle,5000);

    Hello

    I suggest you to consult the steps mentioned below and check:

    3. in the video controller and game, you will find the sound cards right-click on it and select Uninstall.

    4. restart the computer and check.

    Step 2:

    Then, try to uninstall the drivers from programs and features (as applicable).

    1. click on Start

    2 type appwiz.cpl in the start search

    My new L650 - 10G, running on Windows 7 64 bit, is disappointing. I can live with that, but what is a problem, is that the peak power is poor.
