  There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:
  • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
  • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
  • Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have taken the time to create such a key file).
  • Use the password indicator (works only if you have created a hint and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
  • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)
  After solving this problem, plan in advance and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare House key.

  Just a question about the functioning of divisions and accuracy on a line graph when the value VAL_AUTO.  I know what is happening on the scale when it is done automatically, but what is the basis of precision auto and auto divisions?  There are default values?  I tried to search it in the ICB help with no luck.

  Hi Judy,.

  Basically auto settings mean only that the CVI will try to pick what he thinks are the best settings for the divisions and accuracy. The axis of the graph will display divisions as much as possible without the numbers being too cramped together. The number of divisions is calculated first, then we Auto-precision. First, we check to see how accurate would be necessary between divisions because the divisions are all equidistant. If 0 is necessary (i.e. divisions are numbers integers apart) then we look at the values min and max of the axis and determine who requires as accurate. There is a fuzzy logic too involved to ensure that values such as 1/3 show that the 0.3333333333333333333 or something stupid.

  There are no default values such as these are calculated on the fly, based on the size of the chart and the min and max values of it.

  For this particular issue, there is a fix available, you can contact Microsoft Customer Service & provide article 904423 which contains the fix.

  The multiplication sign is the symbol "*", and the sign of the division is the symbol of the "/". These two symbols are immediately above the sign "-".

  Well, you could do a quick and dirty approach and:
  (1) make a copy of the database
  (2) remove the members you want the copy of outline (see #1 - do this in the real version and that the data is gone, gone, gone)
  (3) export level 0 newly emondee database
  (4) import and soak the relaxing drink of your choice (not what is coffee?)

  Otherwise, you may:
  (1) write a script to report (tab delimited output file) which excludes members
  (2) write a script to calc DATAEXPORT in a flat file or a table that exclude members
  (3) write a calc DATAEXPORT script to a table which includes members (although I don't know why, but hey, I list options), and then use SQL on how to exclude missing members
  (4) as RobertR3 suggested, create a partition replicates over the source to the target, excluding members that you do not want

  It is a stop? Is the set of data, large or small? Could get away you with the quick and dirty approach or do you to formalize for re-use?

  I guess I must part of the foregoing applies only to the BSO databases - you do not specify in your post, what are the technologies that you use.
