DLL front panel display

Hi all

I need a program existing via a DLL interface.

The current program load custom "drivers" for hardware, these 'pilot' can display a screen of debugging that is anchored in the calling program.

How can I write my dll of the calling application can call a function of Billboard in my dll and return to the main program with out the displayed dll Closing Panel.

Currently when the application calls the dll it will wait for me to close the panel displayed before continuing. I will try to solve the problem of home later.

Hey Percy,

Need to add display vi as always included in your build specification. Call the vi with a relative path.

See the attached picture. It works, because vi lie side by side in the dll.

    Hello Truman,

Try to reset the DVD Home Theater system and see if it helps.
    In order to reset,
Unplug the power cord of unity HTS of the socket for a minute.
Plug it directly to a power outlet and switch on the device.

If the front panel display does not always illuminate upwards, perform a cold reset, which returns the system parameters, such as the speaker settings and preset stations, factory settings.
    To reset the cold,
Press the POWER button on the front panel of the unit to turn it on.
After this, press the button STOP, EJECT and POWER on the system at the same time.
If the front panel displays works, then, "COLD RESET" will appear on it.

If the problem is still not resolved, it may be necessary to return the unit for service. Use the following link for a repair facility for your HTS

  • The time on front panel display

    Problem solved.

Apologies to remove the original message. He initial post was something like this:

    --------------

I twice parallel loops running - 1 who acquires the data every 30 seconds and the other just infintely loop to show the time on the front panel. But for some reason, timed loop data acquisition has been working well and do not release control to the other timed loop - for this reason present on the front was not getting updates.

    --------------

After various discussions, I found what was my mistake:

There are dependencies between the 2 rings - and no doubt because of the time was not getting updated.

    Solution:

    http://forums.NI.com/NI/board/message?board.ID=170&message.ID=75933&query.ID=60956#M75933

Instead of using 2 timed loop, I used a timed loop to purchase and a while loop as explained in the thread above to display the time on the front panel.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • front panel display Center during execution

Is there a way to make the display panel is centered when I create an executable on a vi?  I have a clock that counts down time.   In the source code its centered.  When I create an exe its tilted to the right a little.  I tried all the settings under properties, but it seems that everywhere where I close the vi in the source code, controls/indicators of front to stay there in the exe.   You always know how your FP indicators are right or left when you close the source vi?

  • Why a VI block diagram display cannot show the display "connector" in the corner of UR, as does the front panel display?

There may be a good reason for it that I just didn't understand. I saw no doubts, it searches the site of NOR, however.

But it seems to me quite annoying to always have to go to the front to access the connector pane view, especially if some of these connectors are hidden. So I have to go the block diagram, guess what control/indicator I want display, go back to the FP to check it on the part of the connector, and then go back and hide it again, and repeat the operation if necessary. Even if the C / I is visible on the PF, it's still an extra step or two.

When I build the connections using the diagrams and planning where to put connectors in subVIs they would be easier to associate (inputs/outputs on the sides line up, don't have to go up and down, etc.), it would be nice to be able to work completely in the realm of block diagram.

  • How to make non-visible control on the Front Panel appear at Design time?

I have a few controls on the front whose visibility is changed (on or off) at run time. The problem is that if I stop the Run time, the visibility of the control remains in the running in design mode state. So I am not able to see or find the control to make changes in design mode.

How can I make all the visible front-panel controls, or find and make it visible to a control on the front whose visibility has False?

    Thank you.

It is documented in the help of LabVIEW.

    Hidden front panel display

Perform the following steps to display a hidden front control or indicator. You can also hide the indicators and controls on the front panel.

    1. Find the terminal block schema for the object. "If you have multiple devices with the same type of data, right click on the terminals and select visible elements" Label in the context menu. Find the object with the label that corresponds to the object hidden façade.

    2. Right-click in the Terminal, and then select Show Control context menu if the object is a control or indicator to show if the object is an indicator.

You can also use the Visible property to display the controls and indicators by program.

You can also view all hidden front panel controls and indicators.

Path: Fundamentals-> build the façade-> how-to--> configure the objects-> display on front panel of the façade hidden object.

  • Any LabVIEW 2009 Front Panel Gage displayed as circle deg continues 360?

Any LabVIEW 2009 Front Panel Gage displayed as circle deg continues 360? I want to display a position of motor on the Panel before LabVIEW as a circle of 360 degrees. Is there a way to make the pledge appears as a circle of deg continues 360?

Gauges and dials, buttons, none of them seem to be designed for continuous operation of 360 degrees. Of course I can set the scale of 0 to 360, but I can't get rid of the gap between 0 and 360.

How to set up a pledge to show a continuous 360 degrees without a gap between 0 and 360?

To change the gap, take the line high marker and move it to the desired location (in another origin, enter the low marker).

Also, don't forget to wrap the raw in 0.360 rank if it falls outside. Here's a quick example (LabVIEW 8.0).

  • display the error when editing on front panel

    Hello

When I add another tab (notching amplifier) in the front panel, the program displays connection error. What should I do to get rid of these errors? I am attaching the file along the slot vi.

    Kind regards.

This happens because the data type of the tab control changes (you add another page). A tab control is essentially an enum and enum values are part of the data type. A reference to the tab control control is to be packaged and passed in several subVIs. Cluster of frontage on these subVIs control has the element 'Hand Control' value "Include the Data Type". Thus, what they expect to see (for example, a tab with 3 pages) is not what they get. That is why the thread cut. You must either:

    • Uncheck "Include the Type of data" for the item "control of the hand. I don't know what other impact this will have, as I look at all the code.
    • Update all the controls on the front panel with a new reference to the command.

Aside: who wrote this program needs a lesson on the typedefs.

Thank you Adam, it's originally in a while loop, I placed it in a loop for example, wired County in the for loop and presto, this son of a digital indicator. It works very well. Thanks for the help folks.

  • display of a front panel without labview

I have a cRIO-9073 that I use to control an oven. Everything works on my development machine, but when I open a browser on the computer that will be used in the oven, I can't front panel appears. All I get is the border and title blocks. The guy here who also LV said he used the performance Viewer? I can't find anything like that. What Miss me? I have attached the screen shot of what I speak.

    Thank you

    Seth

The computer in the oven must LabVIEW or LabVIEW Run time engine. There was not a "Viewer" for many years.

The image looks that you have either the Web server is running, or if this is the case, ActiveX was blocked.

  • Creating custom shaped front panel

I want to create a popup in personalized form (other than the rectangular shape). For this I created a green façade (0x00FF00) background color, placed the shape I want as a background image. Now the unnecessary part is in green. I then used a function of windows (USER32. DLL: SetLayeredWindowAttributs) to the green of the transparent color. It works for me, but the question here is that it takes time to become transparent. For a fraction of a second, the green color is visible to the user. Is there another way to be a part of the transparent window?

You will probably need to get it to keep the front screw closed/hidden until after he made the call to USER32.dll (and make that one of the first calls you make). It is probably your façade opening when the VI of loading display Input Panel began execution - or you might not be calling it right at the beginning of your VI so there is some delay.

Oh - affecting the hidden Panel should work - there is a difference between closed (no front panel) and hidden (open, but not visible) - properties that can be performed on narrow front panels work usually on hidden. If this still does not work - you could try to move the position of the window off the screen (p. ex.-5000,-5000), show it, apply the property and then bring it back.

  • HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Small Form: The front panel audio connector - this only made type to use for headphones and microphone

    Hello

I am trying to determine what type of audio 3.5 mm plug to put into the connector on the front panel for the use of a headset to make video communications.

could be - sleeve, ring and end cap (mono audio and microphone)

    or

could be - sleeve, ring, ring and tip (stereo sound and microphone)

Having read through the manuals and nothing is said on the type to use.

    Hello world

Just plugged the connector 4 poles on my headset combination for my mobile phone (cellular) and the box of pop - up asked me to select headset or microphone - no selection for both.

Looks like the right sleeve is for headphones only, and the left one is for headphones or micro - selectable by the user and not the two on a single sheet.

Everything explained by the practice - but not the paperwork in the manuals.

#5 for microphone or headset - menu popup is displayed after you insert a 3.5 mm plug to select that one but not both at the same time.  (So I can't use my headset to phone)

    Thank you

    Hi people!

I noticed that my LED with the word "Satellite" on the front panel lights.

You have all the hypotheses on the causes?

    Hi Maresha,

The front 'logo' LED is enabled or disabled using a BIOS "Display front Logo" option that can be set on IT or OFF you need. Access your BIOS settings (F2 at startup) and check that this setting is set to 'ON '.

  • OR scope Soft Front Panel fails to load

    Hello

I use the scope Soft Front Panel OR with my USB NI 5132 for some time successfully. However, recently it has stopped working completely - seems to load a bit then fails before you even open the screen. The same thing happens in MAX I did all the updates critical, uninstalled then reinstalled NI Scope, uninstalled Labview (the only thing I had changed after the last time, I know that it worked successfully) and checked the nitaglv.dll library was in the right place according to this post: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/63739991438EC593862579C6007301EC

So far nothing's worked. I NI SCOPE 4.0 and NI-VISA 5.3.0 installed, and the computer could see successfully the digitizer USB 5132 Max after the relocation OR scope, well that the flexible façade does not always load and making the Panel test Max also does not.

I have attached a picture of the screen to load before it disappears so that could provide clues.

    Suggestions?

  • Front panel locked, but not due to the structure of the event

    Hi it LV community.

I did a staemachine program that executes an oscilloscope (screenshot of a provided below... the State of the problem). I ran my program yesterday and it worked very well. Then, like a model, a dialog box opens and I just clicked on it in a hurry. now my front hangs as soon as I move the above-mentioned State "the Oscilloscope settings.

As indicated, I have go a repeat loop that collects successive impulses of my oscilloscope and displays on the front panel (it works fine). In parallel, I have a structure of the event that makes the tail for the real-time feedback of changes to parameters that I placed on the façade (exodus of state change).

Here's the problem: as soon as I State 'Oscilloscope Settings' using a Boolean button on the front panel for get me there, the front hangs... No event triggered by this point, and even if it did, I already deselected the "Lock panel until the end of the matter for this event" checkbox in the case where the structure menu.

So WHY is my front lock now? Thoughts anyone?

Read the detailed help for event structures.

He urged that a single event structure serve in a VI. There are moments where more can be used effectively, but caution and a thorough understanding of the structure are needed.

The problem is that you have several structures of the event in the various cases of the state machine and they are set to respond to the same events.

When the button Set Oscilloscope, the structures of the event in the purchase Menu and home screen States receive the event. The two lock the screen, but only one of these cases may work. It can transfer control to the State of the Oscilloscope settings, but the other event responding to this same event structure maintains the locked Panel.

The solution is not not to release any of the event. The default value is usually the best setting. The best solution is to spend on an architecture of producer/consumer (events). Who uses two parallel loops. The producer has the one and the only structure of the event and passes orders to consumer loop through a queue.

Probalby want as the mechanical action on the buttons to lock when you press. Put kiosks inside the respective case of event changed value and local variables becomes unnecessary.
