DLNA server on bdp-s590

The server on my bdp-s590 ceased to connect to my computer. He worked until recently. By selecting in the home menu, it goes from Server screen, then try again later screen. I went to the settings and tried the settings of the login server. I removed all the servers and tried to update the list. My computer no longer displays on the list (my phone is displayed and can connect without any problems). Running Diagnostics returns the message that the server of telephone and computer server successfully connects with their MAC addresses. I tried re-updated list shows again that phone server. I can push from the computer (play in) to the player. And I can use my phone to play a video on my computer. The phone and the computer connect between them, no problem what so ever. The players software is updated after the update of the network. The computer running Win7 and I use Windows Media Player as a streamer. The present S590 in the list of devices in WMP12 options steaming. I rebooted the computer and the S590 and my router. I disabled my firewall without change. My player is connected to my network and the player and the computer are listed on the same network. I have connected the player wireless to my network without change. I made no changes to the player software or computer system. Any ideas of what to try next?

your BDP-S590 is an integrated server, which means that it does not set permissions or denied access because she receives only the files of the existing networks of DLNA.

as you said you are using WMP12, it is likely, that you will need to set the permission to perform the Blue ray player see the contents of your computer, since you stated that WMP detects the drive of BD.

If you have problems with WMP there are multiple DLNA servers there if you can't get your permissions to allow the BD player to see it.

    Answering my own question later for others...

    You can remove DLNA servers in the categories of video and music by going to network settings > Renderer access control. "He's list all DLNA servers, the player has in memory. There is an option to erase all or you can delete individual items by using button menu option .

    So glad I figured this out, it was really annoying me!

  • My DLNA Player cannot detect the DLNA server on my Win 7 PC using WMP 12.

    I have a wired network.  I upgraded my PC to Win 7 64 bit.  My DLNA process does work, even if it had worked great on Vista.  Nothing else in the network has changed.  Mainly, I'm just "pull" of the PC using the DLNA device

    My network router can 'see' my Sony BDP, my Norton security can 'see', too.  I disabled Norton; I configured everything on my PC, Norton and network to be as open as possible.  Everything is completely reliable.

    Today, I installed a trial version of "Mezzmo" DLNA server software and EUREKA! The DLNA player works like a champ!  No other changes.

    But I want to use WMP 12 - which can be originally not to see and communicate with the BDP-S560 on Win 7?  If I'm looking for a server on the player, none does.  Sony tells me is should work.  Y at - it a plug-in or update, I have to ask?  Thank you.

    Did you ever work?   I just got a Sony BDP-S570 Blu - ray player with wireless, and he acknowledged my music library on my Windows7 64 bit machine immediately. I have never on my PC was in Control Panel, Network Center and share, choose the options of sharing with homegroup, homegroup and sharing options and check the box to stream my pictures, music...

    I also entered in choose Options of Streaming Media and fact allow everything.

    At one point, my BD player would list all the movies on my PC. I have changed the name of the library (in the Display Options of the Advanced Media Streaming), restarted the PC, waited 5 minutes and I was streaming movies once again.

    My BD drive has firmware version M04. R.735. hope this helps.

  • Windows 7 as a DLNA server does not have subtitles

    Hi all.

    I managed to use win7 as dlna server on my LG TV...
    and it's amazing!

    But I am facing serious problems to work the subtitles...

    I tried several types of media... I have the .srt file in exactly the same name as the video...
    But no way for it load titles correctly.
    In addition, if I play the file on my computer using Windows Media Center, it does not show subtitles either...
    I had to install an extension (ffdshow) to activate the subtitles on Media Player.

  • My DLNA compatible TV takes a long time to detect the DLNA server on Windows 7 computer laptop via wifi

    I have a Panasonic plasma tv and a laptop running Windows 7 x 64.  I had no problem with the TV detect my laptop and watch movies via the DLNA server in wifi, aside from the videos stopping frequently, loss of the connection and reconnect.  Thinking it was a problem with my router, I contacted the manufacturer of the router and received a replacement of the same router.

    Apart from switching on the router, nothing has changed.  However, when I try to go to the DLNA function on the TV, it will appear the message "DLNA server is not found. Finally, anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes later, my computer appears on its own in the list and I can continue to watch the videos as usual.  The connection seems to be more stable than before because he rarely abandons the connection after the replacement of the router, but waiting for my computer appears mystified me.
    Y at - it is a particular setting in my notebook or the router that should be adjusted to solve this problem? As I said before, I reflected quite well the former router settings so I'm really helpless why it takes so long.
    Oh, and I use Windows Media Player stream 12.0.7601.17514 (as I was before).

    It is a problem of network discovery/master browser, and if you book DHCP
    addresses, as I suggested, you may be able to solve the problem. You could
    you want to ask their tech support for help if not clear from the user manual.

    How can I completely disable the DLNA server in Windows 8? I see how I can do my inaccessible PC with DLNA (i.e. "block all" in streaming media settings), but who doesn't look like he completely turns off the server, or is it?

  • SMP-N100 will not play VAC/.m4a files from DLNA server but will play them to USB storage device.

    When I try to access my iTunes music files located on my Windows 7 laptop, my Sony SMP-N100 sees files, but the labels 'LCMP', even if these are CCA/.m4a files. When I try to play these music files, Media Player tries to do and eventually times out the claim that the file is corrupt or the wrong format.

    When I copy the music files (and keep the same directory/folder structure) on a key USB a plug in the front USB port on the SMP-N100, Media Player sees thin files and labels like "ACC" and plays perfectly.

    By tables of supported media, published by Sony, VAC/.m4a files are supported USB and DLNA, and yet they do not seem to work on DLNA.

    I use a wireless connection to my network. I have an available Ethernet cable, but when I tried to use it yesterday, I couldn't figure out how to turn off the wireless and I ended up finding duplicates the error messages from my firewall IP. I use ESET Smart Security. I disabled and music play via DLNA with no different results.

    I use Windows Media Player as my DLNA server and I went through all the settings in it. I could be missing something, but I can't find anything that says nothing other than what I have already addressed in the configuration of the Server DLNA WMP.

    I'm willing to try a direct connection between my laptop and the N100 but do not know how I would do. Ethernet? Crossover cable?

    I tried to use the Sony support Chat yesterday but the call ended when I couldn't provide the sampling frequency of the files (they are only supported up to 48 khz). Later, I found that iTunes displays the file sampling rates and mine are all<42>

    Is there anyone here who has any ideas?

    AAC files are not compatible for broadcast in the drive via DLNA.

I have I put different test file under video with the following extensions: .avi, .mp4 & .mpg.

    Are available under the video Menu icon: remove BD, Video Search, No Disc, Youtube, Billabong and other videos in streaming on the internet.

    I followed the instructions of use BDV-E2100 pages 33 and 34.

  • wrt1900ac DLNA server... help

    So my router has the latest firmware linksys (V1)...  IM using a 4 WD to USB drive connected to the esata/usb port.  Media Server is enabled in the linksys UI, without restrictions, and all media is shared on the disk.   And it has just recently been scanned.  The drive is formatted for HFS with about 700 GB of content.

    I can see the drive without problem when I connect from my laptop computer and desktop via wifi... and performance is very catchy, works very well.

    But I can't get one of my DLNA clients to see the player to stream content...  EXCEPT, when I eject the disc (using the safe to eject button in the user interface of linksys) and reconnect it to the USB 3 port... I can see the content on my DLNA clients for a short period of time... like maybe 5 minutes... then it disappears again... but if I eject... and change USB ports again... it appears again... but then disappears again, very fustrating!

    Nevertheless I can still connect to the drive with my laptop anyway... it's just when I want to distribute content via DLNA which he out craps...

    thoughts? Here, any help would be appreciated!

    so, before that I got the firmware, I just did a few double check... and there were 3 customers wireless connected to my network, legitimate customers mind, but they were NOT listed in the DHCP tables or in the map network... so I reinstalled the 1.1.8 firmware... and boom!  The DNLA kicking around... and all devices on my network showed up... the new firmware is a piece of dog shit!

    DO NOT USE THE LATEST FIRMWARE... PURE * beep! *

    funny, it was... the linksys that UI prompted me downloaded the latest firmware...  HAHAHA...

    It's very sad for a router that is not only nostalgic for me to my wrt54g faithful... but who has so much promise... yet they cant deliever on software to run it... as geezus people... Hire an outside company to code the * beep * thing if you have too... your charging $ 300 for this thing... make it work how it was announced to.  I think it's a fair request.
