• Error 1074118650 on niDMM configures waveform Acquisition

  I modified the waveform of DMM demo, and it worked very well until I left work yesterday.  This morning, I get:

  "Error 1074118650 occurred at niDMM sets wave Acquisition.vi.

  Possible reasons:
  The specified file could not be opened. The operation could not be performed as indicated. »

  The demo of DMM unmodified waveform produces the same error.  Other screws I have who use configured Waveform Acquisition.vi niDMM work.  I tried to restart Labview.  I've added the main VI for a project and check that dependencies are where they should be.  Any suggestions to solve this problem would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  I found documentation indicating that when this error occurs in what concerns a 407 x DMM, the problem could be that the F1 fuse connected to the 12V of the isolated side power has blown. You can verify that this is the case by using a DMM to hand to check the continuity across the fuse.

  As this seems to have been an isolated problem, I doubt that is the case. I don't know why this happens only once. Perhaps there was a power failure or other variables that ignore us. If however, it is a problem, you may call OR and ask to do an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization). I hope this helps!

  Hi, I'm trying to download the new version 3.0.1 of the DMM in my computer, however, he said "the compressed (zipped) folders error: Windows cannot open the file, the compressed (zipped) folder is invalid.

  I just tried to download the zip file myself, and I had no problems with it (even if it was in the network of the company, that may have some effect).

  However, a quick search revealed the following Microsoft KB: Zip files downloaded with Internet Explorer are not stored on your computer

  The error you described seems to occur when you use Windows XP and download through Internet Explorer by default Zip program files compressed (zipped).  There seems to be several solutions to this problem, which is the link.

  We also provide a small Downloader application with NOR-DMM 3.0.1 which avoids the problems caused by interrupted data transfers.  You can also try that give it a shot instead of download the zip file raw (you get the same file to be in the end).

  It seems that the "Unauthorized local command" error message can often occur when the 34401A need to have the line REN said. Please try the following change to the example:

  1. Double-click it to open the Initialize.vi at Agilent 34401 read several Measurements.vi
  2. On the block diagram of the Initialize.vi, exchanging the fake (GPIB) of the first structure of business cases.
  3. Double-click on it to open the device Clear.vi
  4. Page on the case of forgery of the case structure in this VI
  5. Add a VISA GPIB control REN VI and set the input mode to "Assert REN"

• Problem of 4400G DMM and DMP

  Good day everyone,

  I have a DMM running version 5.2.1 and DMP 4400 G both run wormhole 5.2.1. Everything worked smoothly until the couple of days, when out of a sudden, the DMM starts seeing the DMP out of service. Physically, the DMP is running and is accessible. In addition, you can see the DMP the DMM itself even when telling them out of service.

  I tried to restart the DMM and the DMP and to restart services. Once the digital multimeter is in place after the restart, he begins to discover the DMP as upwards and after like 1 min it shows them that down so I can not publish multimedia content, although the DMP not to ping requests and can be walked.

  Does anyone have an idea about this problem.

  You probably need to update the firmware on your DMP.  If you have too much, you will may not run the fix, otherwise, I would recommend the fix for the DMM so you can use to schedule the updates for the DMP.

• DMM 5.2.1 remote control problem

  Hey, I'm in the process of establishment of interpreters.  the skin I selected shows three icons.  1. video on demand 2. Electronic Program Guide 3. live TV channels

  Unfortunately, I'm not able to select whatever it is with the remote control (this isn't a remote color red/yellow... buttons)... remote control black regular came with the monitor lcd 32' ccisco. How to do this. I noticed that a few threads on this forum that relates to the color setting. a few buttons I see on the remote's (AV, food, entrance, sleep, psm, arc, auto, then numbers, menu, exit, together, mute, up, down, left, right)

• Delay time 4070 PXI DMM

  Hello

  I use a PXI-4070 DMM and DotNet "SoftwareTriggeredMultipointAcquisition" example

  I want to trigger the DMM4070 with the AuxTrig entry to the front of the instrument.

  This works very well, but how can I change the time out the of triigger?

  It is now on 2000msec. I want to 10000msec.

  When I us the example and do not trigger in the 2000msec I get error message saying:

  ModularInstruments.NIDmm: The operation did not complete in time maximum allowed. Timeout: 2000mS.
  Error code:-1074126845

• Measure the resistance with PXI DMM 4072 on different frequencies

  Hi all

  I tried to get on board various and unable to find solutions for that. I'm trying to measure resistance using NI PXI-4072 on frequencey 1 kHz, but not luck. When I try to use Agilent LCR meter I see the correct value of the resistance.

  I've seen a few posts on this but don't have no satisfactory solutions.

  In above post, someone said that I can use 4072 DMM OR digitizer, does not have a lot.

  I checked the data sheet and the method of measurement described in the specifications of the NI 4070/4072 http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371304g.pdf; indicates that the ability is measured using an alternating signal and select the test frequency range, for example 3 kHz, 1kH or 91 Hz. The resistance is simply measured using a DC signal, and it is often sufficient to measure the internal resistance of a battery. If you need a more flexible control for the measurement, you probably get a card like the function generator and then set a multimeter to measure the voltage and another DMM to measure the current and calculate the impedance of these values.

  It shows on the search page for the NOR-DMM driver, NI - DMM 15.0 was released in August 2015.  15.1 received July 2015.  See the problem?  15.1 was apparently released prior to 15.0.

  Long story short, NOR-DMM 15.1 is the latest driver.  The reason for this is that it supports a few things 15.0 have such as:

  1. support to debug a NOR-DMM device in use by another application, supervision or control of the aircraft in the NOR-DMM Soft Front Panel.

  2-OR-DMM 15.1 and later supports the following real-time operating environments:

  a. Module time LabVIEW Real-time

  b. LabWindows/CVI real-time Module

  However, NEITHER-DMM 15.0 only adds support for LabVIEW 2015.

  In regards to release dates, it was more to do with the process of downloading on the web.  Sorry for the confusion!

  Hello Virginia,.

  As is apparent from this Knowledge Base, LabVIEW 7.1 is supported by the latest DAQmx drivers, so upgrading is no problem. However, whether or not it will solve the problem, I don't know. Let me do some research more in why the card may not be appearing on a few reboots but works fine on others.

  I run the example of the handshake: "niSwitch DMM Handshaking.vi switch" for 2527 PXI DMM PXI-4071/SWITCH in a chassis PXI-1033 for a measure of 1 Volt DC test.

  When I type 'Run', the switch block makes loud continuous noise "zizi"; the graph of 'measures' simply gives a 0 volt line. It's clearly wrong results.

  My setting of this VI is as follows:

  This noise is actually the sound of the relay control. Given that these relays are electromechanical relays, when the relay is closed, the two contacts essentially slap against each other and produce this noise. The buzzing you hear continuous, is because the relays are opening and closing several times. If you use the appliance in OR switch Soft Front Panel for example, you can hear a click by relay which is operated and closing individually each relay.

• Measure the current and voltage using DMM sharing a port

  I want to measure pressure several times on a pcb, where I connect the ports of digital multimeters to the card using simple cards. Switching between the different voltages is done using simple. If the black port of DMM (the second from the top photo) is connected to the Earth to give the measure correct volt.

  

  And then I want to measure current through different lines. The problem is here. Given that two measurement types share a port, how do I get the correct voltage and current measurement? The second port of top would be grounded, so I can't use the method of measuring the voltage across the line through a resistance with a known value, since then the second port must not be connected to the ground. How can I use the current state of the DMM measurement? How measure current? Are there examples of this? Tried looking through manuals, but could not find the good starting points.

  On all of my games to test I have to mux my land of the signal along with the salvation of my signals.

  All my mux test sets are set up for the topology 2-wire because there is no other way to do it without the weak side of switch also.

• Driver for Keysight 34461 A DMM instruments works with GPIB, errors with USB

  I try to remotely control a DMM of 34461a Keysight using the driver of instruments located here:

  The pilot of the aircraft works like a charm the DMM is connected via GPIB, but it error when connected via USB.  I've isolated the problem to "Default Instrument Setup.vi".  When this VI is called in the case of USB, the device is left in a State which translates by a later call a time-out at VISA Read.  The only way I found to get the instrument still talking after this occurs error condition is turned off.  I have an another 34461a with the same behavior, is probably not a hardware problem.  I can successfully run the example 'Agilent 3446 X series Acquire Single.vi' via USB if I remove all calls to "Default Instrument Setup.vi.

  Everyone knows this unit or a similar problem?

  I use Windows 7, 2014 SP1 LabVIEW, NI-VISA 14.0.1 and GPIB-USB-HS + (OR-488. 2 14.0) when using a GPIB.

• driver problem Keithley 2700: VISA resource not found

  I use Keithley 2700 DMM with two 7702 card scanner with card PCI GPIB Keithley and GPIB cable connecting the DMM and the PC.

  I downloaded the driver of the Keithley 2700 project style and loaded on my PC base.

  I created an executable file for the process of scanning running in another PC (client).

  I installed on the client, the runtime of LV 2011, Keithley GPIB PCI card driver (appears in the Manager of devices with errors), the VISA RT 5.0 engine.

  Yet when I get the drop down menu to contact VISA, I can only find the COM ports. The GPIB0::X:INSTR cound not be found.

  Please help me how I can make this resource name VISA in the client computer.
