I have a problem on my windows xp sp3 operating system when I right click any icon I got accident error? This is the summary of errors:
AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.5512> ModName: ModVer shellext.dll: 4.0.468.0 Offset: 0000ca 93Please help thanks :DThis problem is likely to make for an extension of the shell badly installed on your machine. The way to solve this problem is to download and install the free software "ShellExView". When you run this program, it displays all shell extensions that are installed on your machine with a checkbox next to it. By unchecking the box, you can disable this particular shell extension. By trial and error, you can find the one that is causing your problem. Once you find it, the solution is usually apparent (usually UN-installing and re - install an application associated with this file extension).

Windows Explorer has stopped working error - I can't right click a folder on the desktop.
This is my brother's computer, and they do not arrive in his account, only mine. I have administrator rights, but it seems not to matter. This problem occurs only occasionally. For example, I can right click on this text, copy it, then paste it. However, if I go to the desktop and try right click on a folder to rename it, I get the error. The error indicates that Windows Explorer has stopped working, when it says that it restarts, then the Office updates really quick. None of what I found in the forums have worked again this is why I started a new thread. I think it might be a problem with the registry, then someone can please help me quickly find a solution?
Note: I can not run as administrator command prompt because I can't right click, so I can't run sfc/scannow.
We are volunteers here for the most part.
It's a shame that we don't know anything about the distressed system but it was MS Answers owners have chosen to implement this community - do not ask basic system information when a new question is asked that make problems a lot time and frustrating.
But now they way they choose to turn things around here.
Maybe this will help you with your system of unspecified of brand and model with the release of unspecified Windows and Service Pack and unspecified install antivirus/antimalware:
When the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) is wrong (especially when right click), begin to suspect third-party add-ons explore extension. You can also see some errors of NAT (DEP, Data Execution Prevention). DEP errors are reported when XP will be threatened by a program and Windows stops threatening program. Windows should never feel threatened by the Explorer Windows (or Internet Explorer) to less that some add-on is the cause.
Those who would be the Explorer extensions that do not belong to Microsoft. This means that extensions that you have added. Solution Explorer extensions are generally well and installation of certain applications will install extensions from Explorer solutions for you, give you a choice and sometimes they can be added without your knowledge when you install the new software.
Solution Explorer extensions are sometimes added as a new right-click option, you see on folders and files (like the scan of this file, open that file, play this song).
If there is something in particular that you do during exploration that you know will be the cause of the problem, which will help focus on the problem and the help that you suddenly know, when you have found and corrected.
If you can get there when you want it, make an adjustment and then there is no message the next time you don't do anything, you do, you have found and corrected.
First of all you need a way to see what modules explore you have installed now and a way to turn them off (not uninstall them) so you can understand that we are at the origin of the problem. You can have a lot of extensions not installed Microsoft don't even know you about.
Download ShellExView here to see what Explorer extensions you have loaded:
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/shexview.htmlShellExView does not install anything on your computer, simply of runs and displays.
After you launch ShellExView (shexview.exe double click) and acknowledge the security warning, adjust the column widths, so you can see everything clearly. Under Options, choose "Mark non-Microsoft Extensions" and extensions not Microsoft will be pink, clear, but on some systems, which is a difficult color to see, so click on display.
Choose the columns and move up or move down in the column of Microsoft is narrower upwards (Mount) so you can see on your screen without having to scroll left and right.Click on the header of column called Microsoft (it can be the way out of the right side of the screen) to sort the display (by clicking on the column heading in Microsoft) so all non Microsoft extensions are at the top and easy to see. They will say 'No' and be marked in pink because they are not extensions Microsoft, something like this:
Non-Microsoft extensions would be things you have added (non-Microsoft) and are what you should be suspect.
If you see extensions which do not have anything that is listed under Description, Version, product name, company or have special names that looks like they might be letters and numbers just randomly, you might want to look at these first.
You can also Google the name of a suspect add-on and see if there is any success on the Explorer accidents or mistakes DEP and what other people have done about it.
You can Google something like:
Windows Explorer crash You must complete your suspect on behalf of adds on.
See what kind of search results hits you get and are looking for solutions or situations that sound like yours.
I'm not a defender of trial and error, but I can't think of another way to do...
Right click and disable the non Microsoft extensions one at a time (or maybe in small groups of 3-5), keep a list, so you can enable them again later if you wish. The result of the change is immediate and no reboot is necessary. Test your failure condition (right click). If the Explorer starts to act normally, you'll know that some extension you just disabled in this group of 3-5 is the culprit, then you can start to enable them one by one until the Explorer fails again.
If you recognize all the extensions that have been added or recently downloaded, start with these first.
Disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it is just disabled. You can always enable it later, so keep track of things by writing them down.
Disable them one at a time or in small groups (to make things go faster) until your right click does not generate an error, then restart and test again to be sure. You have disabled the last extension would be suspicious.
You can also disable all non-Microsoft extensions, restart, test your fault condition and allow them one at a time until you find the one that generates the failure condition.
If you have a large number of extensions, you can disable them is small groups, 3-5 at a time instead of 1 at a time until your system starts to behave.
When it does not, you will know that the problem is one of the extensions of this small group and you can enable members of the Group at a time until the problem returns, then the problem is with the last extension that you enabled.
The hope is that you will find extensions that is causing the problem and then you can figure out what on this subject - either uninstall it or see if you can get an update of the author of the extension of their web page.
I have not your problem, but I can when you toggle extensions, the extension is immediately disabled, so disable an extension does not seem to require a restart, but if you think that you have found the problem, I reboot and repeat the test in any case to be sure the problem disappeared.
If you post your non-Microsoft extensions list, maybe someone will recognize it as a potential problem.
If you find the offending extension that's the problem, please let us know what it is that I can add to my list!

When I right click on my desktop the menu comes from half in another language
When I right click on my desktop, the menu comes half in another language. Any thoughts on how to fix it?
Original title: Office properties?
If you do not know the language overall is English or any other language, you can try this:
Go and account administrator, go to the following location and delete the file FNTCACHE. DAT:
C:\Windows\System32
Then, restart the PC and check.

reset the settings to the printer... still no print... more haven't added any items to the menu bar... they went bar & customize window title bar changed...
By default Firefox will be "reduced to adjust." You who can disable in layout in a regular window or in print preview, but it's hard to call Preview in the window pop up in print, because the menu bar and the toolbar are removed. If it is a common problem, you can use a different add-on (!) which puts the print preview before printing and Page Setup on the shortcut menu.
I have not used for some time, but I hope that it always works in Firefox 29: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/printprint-preview/

Hi all
Please let us know how to disable the right click option resize on the table column header.
The problem is that when I right click on the header of the column, the column is selected and the context menu with options like type, resize columns, columns, etc... is popping. We want to disable the option of re-size column.
We create a link by program the values in the table (do not use Bc4J) and the version of Jdeveloper's 11.1.2.2
Thanks in advance,

So who did not observe here is that the table is wrapped in a panelCollection and who is in fact source menu. However, the content of the context menu can be controlled through the featuresOff of the panelCollection component attribute

Win 7, Windows Explorer, right click in the right hand only, Panel 1 of 4 hard drives causes Windows Explorer to stop. The disk in question has been removed from my previous XP machine and inserted in it and a lot of files of data on it. The other three disks were new and white discs. All are formatted with NTFS and the disk in question worked well in my previous XP machine. I have noticed no other problems with the drive. Any suggestions as to what may cause this weird behavior and what I can do about it? Thank you, gmhope
This could be a problem caused by an incompatibility between the different version of your bios on your xp machine. BIOS not all do the same things in the same way, I was taught that a hard drive from another machine may not work in another with a different bios. The bios needs flashing on the screen when you start, bios award, a commune is an example. If you start them both and they are both the same bios is not the cause, if they're differentmaybe that's the problem . If you no longer have your xp machine then it's not a way to say average ither.
But I suggest that you try to browse the disk using something else then windows Explorer (to avoid problem explorer).
Open the run command on your Start menu and type cmd this will open a command prompt.
Once opened type in the letter of the drive then an example of the colon (e :))
Pressing on enter you will now be in this drive, and then type dir and then press ENTER, this will bring up a list of files. If these steps work for you and are able to see the content of the file on your drive is intact, but there is a problem in Explorer that prevents you to use it.
If it solves your problem, click on the link "Propose as answer" below and vote as useful by clicking on the green triangle on the left.

cannot click on items in the margins of a Web page
I have Firefox 14.0. I have a att.net with Yahoo mail classic. When I open a Web page by mail or browser, I can't click on the items in the page margin. I have no problem when I use Google Chrome. What I am doing wrong?
This problem can be caused by an extension as the toolbar Yahoo! or Babylon that spans both down and covers the top of the browser window and thus links and buttons in this part of the screen not clickable.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

After you have installed the version that Firefox, I noticed that there are several new features.
One of them opens up when you right click on a browser in the taskbar. You get a few options to open a new tab or new browsers. And a list of the regular pages.
I was wondering how I can delete these pages? And I do not understand this feature more! You can turn off some browser.taskbar Pref. * enable on the subject: config page.
To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.- Use the filter at the top bar of the on: page config to more easily spot a preference.
- Preferences that have changed see the bold (user set).
- Preferences you can restore the default value or change via the context menu.

Right click causes PC show the blue circle (used to be hourglass)
When I right click in windows Explorer or most other places, the program freezes and the circle of blue rotation (formerly the hourglass) is displayed.
If this problem just started to happen, you can use option n ° 1 on this page to fix it easily.
If it lasts for several weeks, you may need to see a problem with a shell extension (add-ins that push new options in context menus).

In Windows 7, don't right click on programs in the Start Menu gives no option.
I just installed Windows 7 on my new PC.
I want to be able to right click on the programs located in the Start Menu and different options available. Now, if I click on a program listed in the Start Menu I get nothing ~ no menu appears.
As a result, some of the things that I can't do are (1) pins a program in the Start Menu, pin (2) a program to the taskbar and (3) run a program as an administrator.
If I right click on the same program located in "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\StartMenu\Programs".
the right click menu is displayed and I can do all the functions that must be available by right clicking on the version of the program in the Start Menu.
How do the right click on the programs located in the Start Menu works correctly?
