Do I need an appointment of genius

do I need an appointment of genius to sell my iPhone in-store?

Hello

It may be best to call in advance to your Apple Store favorite to check they offer instant store credit (offer may not available in shops) and, if necessary, to verify their needs (which may vary by store).

  • Assistance needed: average N amount of waveforms

    Hello

First of all, I have my apologies to re-post this topic, but I didn't help I need the last time I asked, probably because I didn't clearly what my problem was. So here goes...

What I need is for some genius here to show me how the average amount of N of waveforms. I am able fluctuations of current in a specific time window (this depends on the amount of samples and of course sampling rate that I use).

Currently, I record quantity N of waveforms (time series), but what I want to do is only to record an average undulating, e.g. n1 + n2 + n3/N (N = 3).

I gave it a go using a loop, but it didn't give me the results I want (I know what's the problem with him, but don't know how to produce the waveform on the average).

In summary to be as clear as I can be,

    (1) I am recording N waveforms of the DAQ Assistant

    (2) I want to collect in a queue and then take the average of the N wave

    (3) save the medium wave to my function write.

Attached are 2 versions of LabView to my project.

I would really get this spot and exploit this week if possible and would be very grateful for help in changing my vi.

Thank you very much for reading!

  • My Macbook Pro does'nt connect after update to 10.11.6

    Hi all.

After update from my Macbook Pro to 10.11.6 he starts, but after entering my password, then pressing enter shows the loading animation and it is.  I let him go lastnight believe he worked at something after the update, but this morning, nothing...

    An advise, please.

    Kind regards

    Fabio

Please take each of these steps that you have not already tried it. Some of them are not applicable to your model or your situation. Stop when the problem is resolved.

To restart a computer is not responding, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the unit turns off, then release, wait a few seconds and press again briefly.

    Step 1

The first step to respond to a startup failure is to secure data. If you want to keep the contents of the boot drive and you have not already at least a current backup, you should try to back up now, before we do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care the data changed since the last backup, you can skip this step.

There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to boot. You need an external hard drive to store backup data.

    a. starting the partition recovery or an hour Local Machine backup volume (button option key at startup). When the OS X Utilities appears, launch disk utility and follow the instructions in this article to support. You'll be 'restoration' the boot on the backup volume volume.

If you use 2 FileVault, you must first unlock the boot volume. Select its icon ("Macintosh HD", unless you have given it a different name.) It will be nested under another icon of the disc. Select open in the file menu. When you are prompted, enter your login password.

    (b) If step 1 fails due to disk errors, and no other Mac is available, then you may be able to save some of your files by copying them in the Finder. If you already have an external hard drive with OS X installed, the start of it. Otherwise, if you have access to the Internet, follow the instructions on this page to prepare the external hard drive and install OS X on it. You will use the installation program of recovery, rather than download it from the App Store.

    c. If you have access to a Mac, and it work and have both the non-working Mac FireWire ports or stroke, start the Mac non-working in target disk mode. Work Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique will not work with USB, Ethernet, Wi - Fi or Bluetooth.

    d. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is replaceable by the user, remove it and climb into a docking station that is pregnant or an external drive. Use another Mac to copy the data.

    Step 2

If you have booted from an external drive, make sure that the internal boot volume is selected in the pane of the system preferences Startup disk.

Start in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. If you do not see the words "Safe Boot" in the start screen, you did not start in safe mode. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, and some things don't work at all, including the networks without wire on some Macs.

The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You must know the password for the connection to connect. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

If the startup progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or the system stops automatically when the progress bar appears, the boot volume is corrupted and the player is probably defective. In this case, go to step 9. If you have another problem with the player, replace it immediately.

If you can start and log in in safe mode, empty the trash and then open the window of info on the boot volume ("Macintosh HD", unless you have given it a different name.) Make sure you have at least 9 GB of space available, as shown in the window. If you do not, copy as many files as necessary on another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion is not complete until you empty the trash again. This, until the space is more than 9 GB. Then restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

If the boot process hangs again, the problem is probably caused by third-party software you have installed. Ask for additional instructions.

    Step 3

If the startup process stops at a gray screen together with a mobile cursor, then the logon dialog box may be active but not visible because of a bug. You may be able to connect by using the arrow keys or the cursor to select the password field and type your password as usual.

    Step 4

Case of failure of step 3, the boot volume can be complete. If you saw previously implemented guard space drive is low, it is certainly the case. You might be able to start in safe mode , even if you cannot boot normally. Otherwise, boot from an external hard drive, or well technology for step 1b, 1 c or 1 d allows to mount the internal drive and delete some files. According to the documentation from Apple, you need at least 9 GB of free space on the boot (as shown in the Infolog) for normal operation volume.

    Step 5

If a Mac desktop (without the built-in keyboard) crashes on a gray screen together with a mobile cursor, the keyboard may not be recognized. Hold down the button on the side of a wireless Apple keyboard to make it discoverable. If need be, replace or recharge the batteries. If you use a USB keyboard connected to a hub, connect it to a built-in port.

    Step 6

Sometimes, a startup failure can be solved by resetting the NVRAM.

    Step 7

If there is an integrated optical drive, a disk may be stuck in there. Follow these instructions to remove it.

    Step 8

Press and hold the power button until the unit turns off. Disconnect all devices wired except those needed to start and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use another keyboard and/or mouse, if these devices are wired. If you can start now, one of the devices that you disconnected, or a combination of both, the origin of the problem. Discover that it is a process of elimination.

    Step 9

Launch the utility disk in recovery mode (see step 1). Select the boot volume, and then run the repair disk. If problems are found, repeat until that clear. If disk utility reports that the volume is not repairable, the drive is defective and must be replaced. You can choose to tolerate such malfunction in the reader's life. In this case, delete the volume and restore it from a backup. If the same thing happens again, replace the drive immediately.

It is one of the rare situations where you must also run repair permissions, ignoring the erroneous warnings, that it can produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then restart as usual.

    Step 10

If the boot device is an aftermarket SSD, it may have an update and/or a forced "garbage collection". Instructions how to do this with a Crucial SSD of brand have been posted here. Some of these instructions may apply to other brands of SSDS, but you should check with the technical support of the provider.

    Step 11

Reinstall the OS. If the Mac has upgraded an earlier version of Mac OS X, you need the Apple ID and password used to upgrade.

    Step 12

Do as in step 11, but this time clear the disk utility boot volume before installing. The system should automatically restart in The Migration Wizard. Follow the prompts to transfer data from one Time Machine or another backup.

    Step 13

This step applies only to models that have a battery logic-board ("PRAM"): all of the Mac Pro, MacBook with a removable main battery and a few others (models not updated). A flat battery logic-board may cause a boot failure. In general the failure will be preceded by the loss of the system and boot disk clock settings. Refer to the user manual for replacement instructions. You may need to take the machine to a provider of services to have to replace the battery.

    Step 14

If you get this far, you probably deal a hardware failure. An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.

  • After update, can't login, just gear turns

After that I updated to 10.11.6, I cannot connect to my iMac. The login screen accepts my password, but the gear/turn icon just wirhout everything that happens. Thank you

You have the MacBookPro6, 2 - the Edsel of Mac. There may be the failure of logic-board that was covered by a recall program that is now complete.

The model was abandoned in February 2011. It is now classified by Apple as a "vintage product." This means that Apple will probably refuse to fix (see exceptions on the linked page.) In this case, you will need to go to an independent service provider. The part can be is no longer available, or the repair may not be profitable.

Often, the problems start after an upgrade of the OS. If the upgrade has been recently, and you have backups, you can then go back to a previous version of OS X.

Otherwise, an appointment of 'Genius' in an Apple Store, or switch to a different service provider authorized, to have the tested machine. The trial will be free to an Apple Store - unless Apple refuses to even look at the unit, as it could. Diagnoses of current equipment used by service providers don't detect the fault. There is a specific test for this number called "VST" (for "video system Test.") Ask for it. A "Failed" result means that the defect is present.

If you decide to go to an independent service provider, be aware that the replacement part may also be faulty. Some owners reported that they went up to three replacement boards before you get one that worked. Don't expect any help from Apple if you have to pay several hundred dollars for an another bad logic board and that the supplier will be replace again.

If you don't want to take that risk, or if you don't like the price you quoted, you may (or may not) be able to work around the problem by disabling automatic switching graphics. To use the separate graphics processor, you will need a third-party utility to manually switch to him.

  • History of Safari keeps deleting

    Hi all

For some unknown reason, all the sites I visit are removed from my browsing history Safari after that I have restart Safari on my Macbook Pro 15 "mid-2013 running OS X El Capitan.

Erase the history of the items is set to "manually" in Safari preferences and I tried to delete the plist preference, but it did not help.

I did not plug-ins installed on Safari, and I also disabled iCloud synchronization for Safari.

Can someone help me? Thank you so much in advance.

    Kind regards
    Jonas

An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider. You may need to leave the machine there for several days.

  • MacBook Pro (retina, mid-2012) will not start

I have the mac above and I have a weird problem. The mac wouldn't start, I could hear the fan running and if I pressed the power button I can hear her stop.  There is no visible display or no light. the shift lock lights.  Charger lights work normally, if I reset the SMC, the light on the charger goes from green to orange and green. I contacted Apple and they could not help, we have also reset the PRAM.

I left it on and then when the battery was completely dead, I plugged in the charger and tried to turn it on, I was rewarded with the icon of the dead battery, progress! After a few minutes that he started ok, I had the Apple logo and progress bar and then start.  Alls well well except when he went to sleep, she would not start again until I have go through the flattening of routine battery.  I now have reboot, stopped, started from cold, sleep and he waken up - everything looks ok.

My question is there will be any newspaper to show what was causing the machine does not go to sleep?  I lost confidence and am very reluctant to go to the genius bar as I don't think they understand the problem.

    Thanks for reading

All saved entries are found using Console in your Utilities folder. Is simply a software problem, then you can erase the drive and install a new copy of Mac OS X. If it's a hardware problem you need an appointment with Apple Genius Bar for the service. If you need a Apple Store - find a store - Apple.

I have zero SCM and NVRAM until reinstalled OS X.
    Apple Diagnostics showed no questions.

A negative stop code may indicate a hardware problem. The precise meaning of the codes is not publicly documented.

  • El Capitan frozen then it is frostbite!

Hi, I have an iMac mid-2010, 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3, 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 OSX El Capitan, which has 2 months or so been action in the middle of freezing (as simple as opening a program) or even opening the screen saver - freezing I can not even Force Quit and must power down.

I ran disk utility (I think) and this has not seemed to help. Im not too the tech savvy when it comes to Mac but can follow instructions - can anyone suggest something to help?
    Thank you!

You need start to a reference level. Backup your system to an external drive, then follow these steps:

    Snow Leopard erase and install

Remember to only back up your files.

    1. Insert the Snow Leopard DVD in the optical drive and restart the computer.
    2. Immediately after hearing the chime hold down the C key.
    3. Release the button when the Apple logo appears and wait for loading to complete.
    4. After the installer loads, choose your language and click on the continue button. When the menu bar appears select utility drive in the Utilities menu.  After disk utility charges select the entry out-bumpy in the list aside (mfgr. size ID and disc drive.)  In the right side of the disk utility window, click the Partition tab.  Set the number of sheets to (1) on the menu drop down. Click the Options button and select GUID, click on OK, the value of the Mac OS Extended journaled format type. Finally, click on the apply button.
    5. Once the format is complete, quit disk utility.  Continue with the installation of OS X and follow the directions.
    6. Once installation is complete, the computer will restart in the installation wizard. After completing the Setup Wizard, you will use a new installation of Snow Leopard. Open the software update and install updates recommended.
    7. Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 v1.1 updated Combo.
    8. Download the installer from El Capitan of the App Store and install El Capitan.

[Permission to use any part of the foregoing has been granted by khati, exclusively, to theratter.]

Do not reinstall all of your backup. Stick to the main two or three applications that you use. No special extensions or of the add-on utilities. Now operate long enough to determine if the gels and accident have ceased. If they continue then you may well have faulty RAM. Replace the modules you have with the new. While you're at it expand your at least 8 GB RAM. You have 4 GB composed of two 2 GB modules. You can simply delete those that you and replace with new 2 GB modules. If this solves the problem, then bought two new modules to extend the system's memory.

If none of this solves the problem, then you may have some hardware related problem you need an appointment at the Apple Store - Genius Bar store for the service. If you need a Apple Store - find a store - Apple.

  • iPhone SE question 9.3.2

    Hello

I updated my iPhone to the latest version (9.3.2) SE. I use this phone in my hands free car of Mercedes C-Class (2012). Before the update, he has worked with a few minor issues (not the best sound quality, but I understand the appellant). Now, the sound is very bad. I have already removed the connection and associated with the phone again. His has not changed the situation.

Anyone else has this situation or some ideas how to fix?

    Thank you!

There are known sporadic issues with Bluetooth and IS - no satisfactory solution has been proposed but it works in all cases

    Try the following

    1. Make sure that each device you're trying to pair is in "discoverable".
    2. Control Center - tap bluetooth and turn it on again - 8 - 10 times
    3. Force restart the iPhone - after stopping applications using the app Chooser - invoked by fast double pressing the home button and drag upwards on each app until it disappears from the screen. Meet the sleep/wake and home buttons down until you see the logo  - then release and allow normal start upward
    4. Update to the latest iOS if not done
    5. Settings - general - reset - settings Reset network will need to re enter the WiFi passwords
    6. If the pencil of Apple is connected - "Forget it" and try again
    7. Backup the device to iTunes - restore as NEW (no) - see if solves problem - if yes - restore backup
    8. An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.
  • Bluetooth problems after upgrade to 9.3.2

I've just updated to ios 9.3.2 and now bluetooth will not allow matching any device that requires the entry of the code because the keyboard does not find which means that you can not pair the device. You can pair if the device does not have a code.

I first noticed that transmitting and receiving calls was broken after the upgrade on my bluetooth in my car so I decided to wipe down and re-pair phones for the car, the operation failed due to the above problem.

Here are a few standard steps - they can help - but we are still discovering the nuances of the 9.3.2

    6. If the pencil of Apple is connected - "Forget it" and try again
    7. Backup the device to iTunes - restore as NEW (no) - see if solves problem - if yes - restore backup
