Do not update Windows (error code 8007005)

Windows do not update. I get the error code 8007005. Eventually Windows is damaged? I have recently reinstalled Windows 7 upgrade (from Vista) when I did it I got an error (no real product Windows) but it is, and product code has been accepted.

This problem will also stop McAfee update also and I uninstalled McAfee as recommended and now impossible to reinstall the software.

Please, any help is needed.

    Hello

    1. which Microsoft Fixit did you?

2 have you installed new hardware or software before the show?

    3. who is the antivirus installed on the computer program?

4 update you are trying to install?

    5. are you logged on as administrator on the computer?

If this isn't the case, I suggest you to log on as an administrator and check for the issue.

    Method 1:
One of the other reason for the 80070005 error is caused by software running on your computer security.
Temporarily disable the security software on the computer and see if that makes a difference.
    Disable the anti-virus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2:
I suggest you perform the steps described in the article:
Error: 0x80070005 when you try to install updates by using Microsoft Update or Windows Update
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/968003
This problem may occur if access is denied when accessing or copying files during the process of Windows Update or Microsoft Update. Access may be denied if you have logged on to the computer as a standard user and this account does not have permission to install updates. I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

  • Java update has not completed windows error code 1603

When I try to update Java on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, the Setup program ends with an error message "Java update has not ended. Error code: 1603. Please consult the Help Center Java to correct that information or contact your system administrator. »

Java Help Center is not useful. It indicates that this is a known issue and is being researched. This status is apparently true for over a year with no resolution, it seems as if not enough resources are devoted to research. The subject alluded to the possible incompatibility with Microsoft MS14-049 KB2918614 security update.

I uninstalled KB2918614 and still the same error.

I uninstalled Java 7, rebooted the PC and tried to install Java 8 and got the same error. Then I installed the update of Java 7 79 and it worked, but I can't go beyond Java 7 for an evolutionary support for Java edition.

    These all fail:

    JRE-8u45-windows - i586.exe

    JRE-8u45-windows - x 64 .exe

    JRE-8u60-windows - i586.exe

    JRE-8u60-windows - x 64 .exe

Favorite using your search engine Internet web searches will bring up many people having the same problem, but no final solution. Variations on uninstall all versions of Java and re - install, change the language to English settings, remove KB2918614, use the Offline Installer, use the installer of auto update online, hack the registry, etc., but it's as if all of this is purely by accident lucky work around solutions and there is no real real an official answer as to what is happening. I tried them all and I still can't get Java 8 to install. I can't update Java.

    1. What is the solution to the 1603 error?
    2. If I stick with Java 7 forever?
    3. And although my OS 64-bit computer, must I install the i586 or x 64 Java, or both?

    Screenshots of the error:

On a whim, I disabled McAfee VirusScan 8.8 and Alto! installing Java 8 worked.

There is no message in my logs VSE VSE was the cause. However I saw messages clearly connected "would be blocked by an Access Protection rule (rule is currently not applied)" but in fact, they are apparently put into force and prevent the successful install Java 8. Or at least that's my theory.

When I try to update time, I get this message "an error has occurred so that windows was synchronizing with time.windows.com". I have other choices from other time synchronization servers, but none of them does not work either.

I run Vista Home Premium 64-bit

I get this connecting to Yahoo and many other sites. But I you the chance to replace and enter the Web site, against the better judgment of Windows.

I have googled this error code and have tried a few ideas to fix, but nothing seems to work.

Go to start / Control Panel / Date and time and click on change date and time.  Use the calendar to update the date and boxes to adjust the time.  Adjust the first date - then the time.  If necessary, clear syncronizatiion temporarily while solve you the problem, and then turn it back on once it is very close again.

That alone might be causing all the other problems, so let's see what happens once it has been repaired.

    Hello domgolf,

Windows Update exception code 0 x 00000641 / 0 x 80070641 usually indicates a problem with the Windows Installer service.

Sometimes it's because of a difficulty to access; Sometimes, that means he is absent or inactive (disabled) for a reason any.

If you have used Iolo System Mechanic or any other registry cleaner for automatic crossings (auto-fix) and these exception codes, the cause is an overagressive difficulty of this app.

First proposal is to cancel these final corrections by S M, then make sure it is not set to autorun or Auto setting.
Do NOT continue to use System Mechanic until there is a permanent fix of Iolo.

    Contact Iolo (iolo.com) support

    and request a permanent solution.

System Mechanic "cleaning the registry" has put a double whammy on your system in having abducted two registry keys.

The following will set things in order for the registry {at least for service setup}, so that you can then move on to redo the update of Windows.

    These are for VISTA systems<>

Download this file from Ramesh S http://www.winhelponline.com/fileasso/regfix_vista.zip

    Save it to your DESKTOP.

Extract the contents to your DESKTOP.

    Click Start, type

    REGEDIT and press ENTER key

from the main menu, select file

    then Select IMPORT

Access the dialog box (click the icon on the DESKTOP on the left to select)

type regfix_vista.reg in the file name text box and click on the Open button.

Once the merger is completed, you will see a confirmation message.

    Click OK when finished.

    Then download this second registry-fix

Download and SAVE on your system (on the desktop or in a single folder) following the registry-fix file
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/win-services/Vista/msiserver.reg

Right click on the msiserver.reg file and select MERGE

When to get confirmation message on the merge, click the OK button.

If you are prompted by User Account Control UAC, allow to go forward.

If and only if the Merge option is not available, and then double-click the file and allow it to merge into the registry.

IF and file '.reg' appears in REGEDIT, when you are prompted whether to merge answer Yes.

When finished with two registry patches, leave / close REGEDIT.

then the costs of closing of session and restart Windows.

Now try Windows Update again in a new race.

    Only a custom scan.

Simply select the critical or important updates. (non - select all those in option).
