Docking station issues with power - power of the outdated USB hub

We get an outdated 'USB hub power' error on my docking station with an E7440 anchored in it.  Worked fine, since I have received the device, but all of a sudden it-error when I try to access any flash drive.  Swapped out with a new one, number the same dock.  Also swapped power adapter, also with no effect.  Any ideas on the problem or resolution?

Did you by chance install or upgrade of Citrix Receiver recently?  I did and my USB ports no longer works in the docking station.  This link has Details of why:

Is docking station compatible with computer model C6470 VB041AA #ABA?

    Hi Bryan,.

You're right, the computer is a Probook 6470 B.  I also noticed in your chart that the docking station power is estimated at 90 watts.   How I plugged the power lists 65Watts on etiquette, which may explain why it does not work very well.  I think I must have caught an old powersupply in my bag for laptop computer to my upgrade of the previous work computers.  Another food I have is rated at 90 watts; I'll give this one a try.

    Thank you

Well, the Toshiba dynadock USB Docking Station is an advanced solution for docking with a video controller high performance integrated with a viewing up to three displays simultaneously.

But I wouldn't send any movie huge signals through the dynadock USB ports because USB ports are not designed for this purpose. You can use the external display for everyday use as a second window or office software of the internet explore.

  • Graphic PCI - e to the advanced docking station is not a value of the loss of the button disconnect!

    Greetings,

After using the ATI Radeon X 1300 in the docking station advanced with my W500 (4061-38U) for more than a year, I'm in a clear position to conclude, it is not worth. Here are the reasons why you should not have this configuration:

-the complete loss of a KEY using a Docking Station features: the ability to quickly dock/undock the system without rebooting.

-l' use of the PCI - e 1 X is performance of garbage.

-native resolution of 1900 x 1200 of the 4061-38U, which is very frustrating to read. If this screen ends up not used at all.

-the ability to connect 2 displays: 1 DVI using, the other using VGA with loss of quality very little according to the screen, cable and the resolution.

-the docking station operating in the high fan noise (even though I had it worked)

-Finally the dock become unstable due to electricity and heat problems

-the size of the time, thinking about how to continue to be stubborn and approaching different configurations to improve performance in you question:

-> Lenovo USB DVI box, (slow performance, bandwidth USB. CPU consumption)

-> Other products USB DVI (same questions)

-> Double/triple Matrox display (likely to be slow performance, not part is no PCMCIA card for Laptop Docking procedure, do not know if it requires a restart, too expensive to my point of view)

-Finally and not least important, the size of the space: it is possible to operate the laptop closed cover and care so one of the LCD on the dock, table mounted VESA.

So, yesterday, I got back to this configuration more simple but more effective: W500 + advanced dock + 1 Viewsonic 22 '' LCD in landscape + Viewsonic 22 "LCD 1 running in portrait mode + disk backup in the dock UltraBay + external USB mouse and keyboard.

    Hi ppl

After more than a year and I still maintain the same configuration: mentioned in this topic. He plays very well, graphics wise.

Overall, the W500 is a great laptop. It's been updated with a 256GB SSD Samsung 830 and nothing more.

    Hello

There are 2 docks compatible with the p 8470

    a dock of 230w (VB043AA)

I do not see the real differences when checking the plug:

Is it possible to use the power of 90w using the "230w" dock?

Why is there a difference in power between 2 platforms?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

230w power must allow the docking of a mobile workstation, these laptops are over powered and therefore need a power supply the higher power.

230w docking station is required to manage this more load, although physically, it's the same as the 90w, it includes elements that are evaluated for the 230w.

He is briefly mentioned in the specs of th

«The HP 90 w Docking Station gives you a Smart adapter 90W high energy performance for your notebook PC.» HP 230W Docking Station gives you a Smart adapter 230W-saving in energy for your PC laptop or Mobile Workstation. These Smart adapters guard against fluctuations in power supply with built-in surge protection.

  • Portege R700 with docking station may not automatically switch to the external display

    Hello!

In the past, we bought a lot of A600, R500, S10, and always a docking station for every laptop here at Desjardins, we bought.

Now we have a little problem with the new R700 model: PT318C - 00G 001,
    We bought 30 of them.

WHY when we put in the tie-down (with the nearby screen) it can display automatically to the external display no/switch? (in this case a 22inc LCD)
It is connect with the HDMI/DVI cable. And when we get the display by sliding in the graph of intel and media panel (V 6.14.10.5258), after a reboot of the docking, the screen is all buzzy... sometimes both screen are dark, and we must use a combination of keys to move.
It's really not easy to use for our users...

With the old model as the A600 or S10, all have always worked well, if we are on the dock, the pop screen directly on the external LCD, so I stopped him, ondock it and start up of all is well on the screen of the laptop.

We are on Windows XP Pro SP3.

I tried the utility Toshiba display device change and expansion Mobile from Toshiba. are not clear...

    Thanks for your help.

Have you installed a version of vanilla from Windows? Or XP has been installed from the Toshiba Recovery Disc?
Maybe you are missing several key structural factors (common modules for example). Also make sure that you use the drivers to display on the Toshiba site.

Also try a BIOS update (v1.70 is the last one I think).

  • Personal Media Drive (HDD) is not recognized in HP xb4 Docking Station laptop with HDX 18i

    Hello:

This is my first post since obtaining these three pieces of equipment.

a lot of problems with my new laptop and separate hard drive docking station.

But this one is the most annoying:

my HP Personal Media Drive HD10000x slips into a Bay (specifically for these players) on my xb4 docking station.

Connected to the docking station is my laptop, a HDX18.

Everything works very well between the laptop and docking station, except the HARD drive: it lights not or anything when you slide into the dock media Bay.

This is supposed to be 'hot-swapable' and everything, but it is just dead.    It's new, but I hate to send it back (at my expense) if there is another problem here.

    If someone has encountered this?

    Help, please!

    Thank you

You need to connect the power adapter to the personal media player - at the back of the dock XB4, next to where sits the personal media player.  So there are two adapters CA / CC plugged into the XB4.

  • What docking station / Port Replicator is compatible for the Satellite P70-A-104

    Hello

does anyone know what model port replicator (name of Toshiba for docking station?) adapts to Toshiba P-70-A-104?

    Your
    Stephan.

    Hello

As far as I know that this Satellite has port replicator, so you can use an external device, such as Toshiba Dynadock (universal docking station).
More info about Dynadock you can find on the pages of Toshiba. As a small preview check please

  • USB 3.0 docking station pro with two monitors

I have an E550 connected to a dock, Pro USB 3.0. To get two monitors working, I got a VGA plugged into the laptop to a monitor and a SVGA from the platform to the other. I want then to the main display on the second.

But I can drive both monitors of the dock? It is not clear in the manual if this can be done. I suppose that if I hang a HDMI VGA adapter to the dock, I can then drive the first monitor from the dock too?

I can confirm that it works.

A DP/DVI for dock first monitor and a DVI/DVI for the dock to the second monitor gives an extended through the two display.

  • suddenly stops when the external usb hub is attached

My imac 27 inches 5 k 2015 suddenly stops when an external USB hub is attached supposedly designed specifically for the mac. (Cutting) The mac does not start I have to unplug it and reconnect to restart. I tried different hubs of this manufacturer and all do the same thing. Remove the hub, the computer is fine. Any ideas?

Well, try an another factory USB hub, I had good success with USB hubs powered from Belkin.

Question... are the hubs help powered or are bus powered USB? They are bus powered USB is your problem, the USB ports on iMac didn't supply enough power to power bus-powered USB hubs.

  • Dell Latitude 10 + 8.1 Windows Pro + Docking Station = not in position to use the LAN connection?

I have a dell Latitude 10 that I had just upgraded to Windows Pro 8.1, everything seems to work fine except for the LAN on the docking port, I tried all the old and latest versions of the drivers 7500LANUSB out there with no success to get it to work properly.  All the other ports in the station properly.  I also tried with another Dell Latitude 10 w\ Windows 8 and works very well.  Also with another Tablet that has Windows 8.1 with the same result as the first with not able to use the connection to the LAN on the dock.   PLEASE HELP ME!  I have 93 of these devices that we will upgrade to Win 8.1 via WDS, but it can't happen until this is resolved.

I confirmed that a tablet of 10 Latitude running Windows 8.1 is able to connect to a wired LAN docked. I was able to get a valid IP address with the unit that I was testing.

Have a look in Device Manager and make sure that your driver LAN7500 looks like this:

You may completely uninstall and then reinstall the driver of LAN7500 of time management devices and programs and features.

You can download the current version of the LAN7500 here:
    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/product/Latitude-10-Tablet

the name of the file is LAN7500_Win8_A04_Setup - R84GF_ZPE.exe and it will run on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

I have a HP Envy 4 Ultrabook, and I want a docing station that works as both a plug-in and plug out. I need to connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse are wireless

There are two different sets of Envy 4 Ultrabook, but assuming that it is the manual for your:

    Manual

There is no connector dock hardware on the laptop. Therefore, no nod to the bottom dock is available. The only choice would be a USB 3.0 dock, which feeds the laptop so you should have to plug an AC adapter and a USB port whenever you wanted to 'dock '. So, by doing this it would connect a monitor, mouse and keyboard. A no more than a glance down.
