Documentation policy level (SLA) service

I'm looking for documentation on the SLA and the level of Service policy.  I have been able to piece all the information on this subject, but, it looks like I'm missing some parts.  I need to create a management document explaining how Foglight keeps track of the SLA.  For example, when percent is calculate what is the used and what kind of events/alerts affecting the determination.  I need to know how to make adjustments to policy to adapt our organizational needs.  A policy can be tailored to individual services?

Also whatever it be replaced by 5.5.8 5.6.3?

  • Level of service of time trolling

    Hi all

Our level of service physical standby agreement dataguard with the bandwidth of the network provider's latency of 10 minutes.

This means that if we encounter a "disaster" (GOD forbid), we only lost 10 minutes worth of transactions.

How can generate see report on what is average hourly latency? or the average dalily delay?

And send it to the network provider if the 'level of service' is filled.

  • Levels of service

When you define a service, access level attribute must be set, which has the values

    READ_PRIVILEGE = 1

    WRITE_PRIVILEGE = 2

    DELETE_PRIVILEGE = 4

    ADMIN_PRIVILEGE = 8

    GLOBAL_PRIVILEGE = 16

    SCRIPTABLE_SERVICE = 32

Is there a documentation of the above access levels, what is the meaning of each of them, including one to select on a particular situation?

  • Photo of high-level public service is not registered - strange behavior

    Hello

I have strange problems with the sub that VI pictured below. I have also included the vi - but it cannot be performed without the high level vi and I can't do a version that displays the error without my top level vi which I'm not allowed to post.

    Problem:

Top Image that level vi is not registered to its destination, the other three images are.

What I did to find the cause of this and a solution:

    1 probes:

High level fp image is returned by the method, as planned,

It is to be cut properly,

the path that I fed to writePNG is correct,

said writePNG error output OK - no error without warning.

    2. all the references of the elements inside the Sub vi:

Works - records 4 images in the specified path.

3 change the reference for the first case to the control back.

Does not work in my top level vi - this is when I think I have a vi for posting, but:

I create a blank vi, drop the sub vi it to post it on the forums - IT WORKED!

    4. If I duplicate the first structure of cases (so there are two now) and plug each tunnel entrance on the same cable as the original (with the exception of the individual part of the name of the file - I created a new one for it): works in double.

If I then remove the original structure case duplication no longer works (even with the new name of individual file)!

    5. copy the code from the vi subroutine in a new and empty and save.

    Does not work

    6. restart LV

    Nope

    7 restart the PC

    Still does not

8 recreated the reference 'this VI' in the top level vi (just to be safe)

    NO.

I have no idea what to do now. I could copy high level vi in a new - but there a FP quite complex which is messed up in the process.

    Someone knows something similar?

Someone at - it an indication on what to do next?

    Best regards Florian

    OK, I got it.

And it was my fault too! (Almost always is, how many times can we really find another bug when programming?)

It had nothing to do with branching. Phew!

The file obtained written - but I eventually replaced it with himself: he reacted well to that.

The other three pictures has not crushed because of the wire of error that prevents.

Sorry for anyone thinking about my problem.

    Glad it's on

  • Very few documented specifications for the service accounts for SA

Hello. Is it just me, or you don't think there is a lot of missing information in the Guide of the Installation of his around what permissions must be given our service accounts to SA to connect to vCenter servers?

    1. the installation guide mentions that must point to the search SSO service and enter a SSO administrator name and password. Then it is made a sort of 'Grant permissions' SSO, but does not mention what he does.

    2. next, under 'Allow vCenter Server Instances', we're supposed to enter in the "user name and the password of the administrator of the vCenter server. That sounds as if it was an instruction on how to perform a test installation in an isolated lab environment where an "Administrator" account is used for everything. The guide mentions even what is the vCenter Server (?) default user name and password.

What admin aware security would leave such a procedure without papers are held in their environment?

How we would go about to install this with the required minimum permissions?

    THX!

    Hello

Here is a detailed description of what authentication information (SSO/VC) are used for:

-Admin SSO are used to create the user of the solution, which will use, and the user groups ('Assistant Support operators' and 'Support Assistant Service' - the first contains all the users, who are able to exploit, that is, change the parameters in the collection of the customer's Web user interface.) The second contains only the user of the solution).

-The administrator for each CV credentials are necessary, because (at the beginning), the user of the solution that we create has no permissions to one of the VCs. Therefore, we need a user (the "Licensor") that can grant the user with permissions of our solution. The grantor must have the following permissions:

    Authorization.ModifyRoles, Authorization.ModifyPermissions, Alarm.Create, Alarm.Delete

That's all. After installing, SA will * only * uses the user of the solution he created to access the VCs. The user of the solution receives the minimum permissions necessary for SA to operate.

    These are:

    Alarm.Create

    Alarm.Delete

    Global.Diagnostics

    Global.LogEvent

    Global.Licenses

    Host.Config.Network

  • When the level apps services should be cut

    Hello

When should we close all the services of the DB or Apps?

Runs utility Adadmin of objects of schema to recompile applications
or validate schema objects, necessary, too?

    Thank you

When should we close all the services of the DB or Apps?

-Whenever you need to take an offline backup
-Whenever you need to apply patches to applications, shut down the application services only (on Unix, it is optional, but recommended. On Windows, this is a must!)
-Whenever you apply the patches from the database (application and database services must be down)

Runs utility Adadmin of Apps schema objects recompile or validate schema objects, necessary, too?

Yes. You must be sure that you have no invalid items in the database, otherwise the application would not work correctly (you would get FRM-XXXXX and XXXXX ORA errors when using the application).

You can determine the number of invalid objects by running the following query:

    SQL> select owner, object_name, object_type
    from dba_objects
    where status = 'INVALID';

  • Service levels

    Hi all

Just when I thought that I had worked on Service levels...

I tried the following two provisions separately within Service Builder:

    Service Service [Global] [Global]

Service Cluster Cluster Service [Global] [Local]

    node1a                                                                 node1a

    node1b                                                                 node1b

    host2                                                                      host2

    host3                                                                      host3

The color coding is quite simply for the sake of description and show different levels of services.

    • [Global] service is all 'container' for the hosts contained in the service and overall.
    • host2 and host3 are hosts of autonomous - if two of them have a fatal alarm, which affects the service so the number of SLA fall of 100%.
    • Cluster service is the 'container' for the two-node cluster and is at the same level as host2 and host3.  I tried both a local and a global service for this service.
    • node1a and node1b is a two-node cluster - if one of these nodes has a fatal alarm, this should not affect the number of ALS as the other node is still ongoing.  I have created a registry setting in FSMServiceSLP_PercentageAvailableThreshold for Service Cluster [Global] against the value of 50, as well as Service of Cluster [Local] FSMService against FSMChildService of a value of 50, the logic being that 50% of guests at the service (i.e. a server) is always available, the availability of the service is not affected.

My understanding is that availability of service numbers are inherited "upwards".  In other words, if I create a fatal alert on node1a, what should happen is that Cluster Service remains at 100% (there are still 50% of the available servers node1b still works, that's why the service is not affected) and Global Service remains at 100%.

However, what seems to happen in practice, it is that the Cluster Service remains at 100%, but the Global Service begins to drop his SLA figure, showing a loss of service.  This is the case without worrying if the Cluster Service is defined as a local or a global service.  This can be confirmed by visiting the dashboard of Service for the Cluster Service and Service levels although there is a fatal alarm for node1a.

Is it possible for the figure of service level should be given exactly?  In other words, the Service should remain 100% unless that be host2 and host3 or (node1a and node1b) are not available?

It comes to vFoglight PRO 6.7.1 build 5.6.4.2.  I built the services in the usual way, the option «Foglight can automatically add hosts...» "is not selected and the level is set to the default"let Foglight decide. "

    Thank you

    Brian

Well, we have this finally solved - Foglight does not calculate the availability of level of service properly, at least not in the way we have been lead to believe.  To summarize...

If the function is defined as follows:

    [Global] service

    [Global] Cluster service

    node1a

    node1b

    host2

    host3

If node1a has a fatal alarm, Service [Global] Cluster is not affected (which is OK because it has a value of registry FSMServiceSLP_PercentageAvailableThreshold of 50), but [Global] Service starts to drop (which shouldn't happen).  This is because the level of service availability calculation is also global alarms that would also alarms the child objects.  To work around this, change the level of availability of underlying service code.

Go to Administration | Data | Manage the derived parameters and filter availability:

Select the metric range derived from FSMServiceLevelPolicy: sourceIds = $null by clicking on availability:

Select the calculations derived metric by clicking on FSMServiceLevelPolicy: sourceIds = $null:

Replace the existing code in the code Expression box in the attachment, and then click Save.  This operation takes you to the screen change the derived metric.  You need to click on save here too, otherwise your code will not change.

When you install your services, you can use global services to allow you to reuse the service in other parts of your service structure, however, when you set the percentages in the Variable of registry FSMServiceSLP_PercentageAvailableThreshold, these values are set against the topology of FSMServiceLevelPolicy Type:

Once all this is done, the availability of level of Service for the [Global] is displayed and calculated correctly.

My thanks to Philipp von dem Bussche-Hünnefeld from Dell to provide the code and help and especially for allowing me to share with the communities.

  • Difference between the system and level of statistical service

Not able to differentiate between level statistics system with level of Service as the service statistics and the system of expression both looks similar... System and Service both means the database as a whole. Can someone clarify the on even.

    Hello

1 agent of statistical services are accessible from v$ service_stats, it allows to provide routing you information client connects to the server (base TAF - configuration, what services uses for the most - service call).

    2. arrival at the system level, it on the health of your system, how is the health of your CPU. Based on the statistics of the system, we determine the load based on database server process, if the CPU is working well or not, capable of function/meeting very well or not.

  • The Implimentation using blog muse with CC Team :-) What Business Catalyst plan comes with the Muse? Does include the Blog of BC that comes with small Buiz service level?

I have the creative cloud composition and went LIVE with 5 sites. Then we went to CC Team preparing to launch our project.

Cone find not what plan is to allow me to post my living sites, with single - domain names and more precisely at what level of services Biz Cat comes with it.

I need to put a blog in a BC/Muse site.

    • Rather than Word Press, it seems that BC has built in the Blog which can be great.
    • Anyway I need to implement a blog and am using MUSE.
    • Any favorite ways to do?

Another way to ask the question is: can anyone recommend the 'best' way to put a blog in a site of muse?

    • There are several paths: wordpress, tumblr, stand alone Articles. Help! Laughing out loud
    • Several widgets on the site of Muse one for $34, which is autonomous.

Thank you for any suggestions or clarifications.

I wait until the weekend to tackle this project. Weekend have very limited support to respond to these requests for information I have does not have account in work.

    See you soon!

    A.L.

The best way by far is this solution:

    Muse blog

It allows a system completely free blog hosted within the Muse, with all the features, you can imagine (display stylized text, images, movies, customizable comments system, multi user option and so forth).

You will find video tutorials for this blog system:

  • Service requests service level agreements

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone had thoughts or experiences to share for the best way to manage the contracts of service level for Service requests. I was asked to provide a report showing that Service account (by area/topic) responded within the time con times.

For example, applications of new business cards are supposed to be resolved in 3 days and it took 4 days so mark this request as having not met arranged deadlines.

I don't know where is the best place to store the dayes of level of Service by region? Is this just in the logic of the report? Appreciate any ideas on that.

    Thank you

The correct syntax for the IIf function is

    IIf (testExpr, expr1, expr2)

If testExpr is TRUE, returns the value of expr1; Otherwise, returns the value of expr2.

    Try withI
    If ([] = "Allowances", "2", "0")

  • Authorization for the BPEL (SOASuite 12 c) Web service

I'm currently implementing WSSE security authentication and authorization for a SOA Composite, exposed as a Web service in SOA Suite12C . WSSE authentication security is successful, but seems to leave doesn't think.

    Details:

SOA Composite = SOAComposite1 (exposed as a Web service)

I have two valid authenticated users USER1 and USER2. Only USER1 has access to the Web service.

    WebLogic console

Adds a user User1 to the Administrators group

    Console EM

Created a DBMS (Test USER) role-> wanted to add the administrator group to the Application role 'User of Test', so search for groups, but does not list in MS, so I added the 'Administrator' explicitly (Advanced section) group .i don't know if this is appropriate.

Create an Application with (TestUser) policy as name and application added user 'Test' for her role.

Adds approval of "oracle.wsm.security.WSFunctionPermission" with the name of the resource and the action as «*»

    SOAComposite1

. The strategy used for authorization is "oracle/binding_permission_authorization_policy" to the level of service.

This configuration has worked in SOA Suite 11 g, but does not work in SOA Suite 12 C.

11 g that only USER1 is allowed access to the webservice, in a trial with User2, user2 performs authentication but fails with an exception "Is not to allow" which should

12 c, users USER1 and USER2 is able to access the Web service. I want the request fails whenever the user is user 2.

The only difference is in 11 g, having created groups in the weblogic console, the groups are listed in 'EM, I just need to select the group to add in the role of Application, where as in 12 C I don't see the groups created in weblogic, listed in the MS. I had to add explicitly in the Application role.

    I haven't restarted the servers (Admin /SOA serrvers) 11 g and 12 C.

[Authentication of WSE and Authroization security]

    Please help.

    Hi there user,

Recently, I've implemented something similar on OSB, if authentication has been with the user name token and the SSL was pure transport level, i.e. was not part of the political configuration of GOSA.

    That's what I did:

1 created users (in embedded LDAP)

    2. created LDAP groups and made users members of them. For simplicity, I created a hasAccess group and the other - hasNoAccess and added User1 to user2 to hasNoAccess and hasAccess

    3. has created a new policy of security GOSA

    4. the newly created policy added assertion of authentication - in my username token case

    5. the newly created policy added AuthZ assertion of type binding-authorization

6 set the AuthZ liaison-authorization assertion as follows:

    -action game *.

    -resources match *.

-added the hasAccess groups of the embedded in the roles of article selection options "selected roles.

    7. fix new GOSA policy to your component of the service binding.

In short you need not create application roles. You can work directly with the LDAP groups with authZ assertions.

    HTH,

    A.
