• Iomega Portable hard drive now does not appear under "Devices" after accidentally deleted USB cable. USB

  My Iomega eGo Portable hard drive was connected by USB on my Macbook Pro OSX 10.9.5 cable and I was transferring my iPhoto folder.  Unfortunately, the cable dropped and I got a message on my laptop hard drive had not ejected correctly.   I reconnected it the cable, but now, it does not appear under devices in the search page.  I also checked the disc utilities and it isn't here either.  I tried to connect the hard drive of my iMac, but it does not appear in the devices out there either.

  The drive may have failed.

  Try different USB cables.

  Remove the naked drive from the iOmega enclosure and test it in a known functional wardrobe.

  I just updated my OS to Sierra of MacOS. I have connected my external hard drive (HDD) and it does not appear under "Devices" in my Finder window. It worked fine before the update.

  I use a MacBook Pro (end of 2013), currently running MacOS Sierra (Version 10.12). My external HARD drive is a SeaGate Slim SL Media (500 GB).

  The external HARD disk appears in disk utility application. He also appears on the about this Mac > system report > USB. I don't know what the problem is, the external HARD disk is identified but does not appear for use in the Finder window.

  It is a problem that has been reported previously in iMovie 10.1.1. Photo library will be displayed intermittently when iMovie is launched. The only solution I know is to open the photos app before the launch of iMovie. That has always worked for me. It seems that if Photos is opened and closed even before iMovie will appear. Once it appears, it will remain as long as iMovie is open. I hope it works for you.

  Hello Marwan,

  When you create a document you have many options that can make changes to it.  By default, a document is open to all registered to edit users.  If you do not want to allow anyone to edit your document, you can make this change through the function of 'collaboration '.  Just change the document you created and develop the collaboration tool to view your options.

• I cannot import video from iPhoto to iMovie because the app does not appear under 'movies '.

  OK, so I'm trying to download a video of 4 min 26 s (739 MB 1920 x 1080 29,96 fps H.264) in iMovie & iMovie does not recognize my Nikon D800 as being connected, so I uploaded the video to my iPhoto.  My original iPhoto has been deleted because it was corrupted and the peeps on the Apple Store deleted and created a new.  Now when I go in iMovie, I click on "Import" and then I click 'Movies' and in the window, all I can choose is iMovie, a directory of blue movies, PhotoBooth, & iTunes.   In the screenshot you posted, you should see iPhoto in the list between films and photo booth. Also movies iPhoto should appear in the browser. Since you see nor it seems than iMovie and the operating system cannot see iPhoto library. If you click the photo button in the toolbar you see your photos in iPhoto? If this is not the case, this would confirm a problem with iPhoto library. Try opening iPhoto, hold down the command and option keys. In the first aid window trying to repair the library and perhaps rebuild if repair does not fix your problem.

  No errors except these permissions require the approval of the user. You will never see those listed there. Try it as access_files (or whatever it is) and it should appear.
