Does not not a controller to xbox 360 on windows 7

I as had previously been suggested here uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers twice. It is one of my three xbox 360 wired controllers always saves not.

It does not appear in "Microsoft 360 accessories status" or "Game controllers" but it * IS * appear in Device Manager.

In addition, nothing is shown on the ring of light, except the flashing "Searching" which occurs whenever I press the button 360.

I suggest you to run the troubleshooter under construction: open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Open-the-Hardware-and-Devices-troubleshooter

  • Sansa Fuze does not work with the Xbox 360?

I know that the console is capable of playing a MP3 player through it, I could do my job as Creative Zen. I don't understan why it does not work with the "rocket", the interface looks more simple on the surface of things. And I'm sure it doesn't because I don't have a HARD drive for my Xbox, it was working fine before.

The reson I am, I wanted to know because I wanted to know the other ways of playing my rocket while listening. the kool on my expirimentation thing is I found that the Xbox will charge my rocket when it is off and I can listen at the same time. I also found that my Playstaion 2 will work also in this copacity all-in-on.

Basically the Auto setting works well with the XBox.  Select settings > USBMode > MTP or MSC.

With PSG, you can even play content protected by DRM rockets (IE Rhapsody) on Xbox.

  • Xbox 360 scan windows media center for the new music?

I just added some new music to my windows media center and the music does not appear on my xbox 360. is there a way to synchronize?

    Hi nwills,

Ideally, the Xbox 360 should automatically scan if new music is added to Windows Media Center. However, you can also manually synchronize as follows.

a: you can connect the Xbox. The Xbox Dashboard, select 'My Xbox', then select 'Windows Media Center' to receive the eight-digit code. This code allows your Xbox to recognize your media player on your computer.

    b. you can set up Windows Media Center on your PC. Click on the "tasks" and select "Add Extender". A screen will appear asking you to enter the eight digit of your Xbox 360 code.

    c. play music on your Xbox. Select 'Windows Media Center' in the menu 'My Xbox' and start playing music.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

  • Network problem, Xbox 360, laptop Windows 7

Problem: My laptop does not connect to my xbox 360 via ethernet.
I ran into a problem trying to set up my xbox as a test ground for the xna development. My xbox is used to connect to xbox live through my old XP desktop, it refuses to acknowledge even my laptop with Windows 7. I tried a variety of bugs, including the network settings on the xbox and laptop of compensation, reinstall the drivers for the network card and copy network settings from my desktop to the laptop. I currently have unique network cable from my xbox to laptop. No I don't have a WiFi connection at home. However, I have a hub, but I know that xbox network adapters is able to switch so I don't see what difference that would make. Any ideas? Maintaining the xbox gives an error saying that the router is not assign an address id Oh yes the ipconfig info:

    Hi nmagness,

Please use the Microsoft Windows Forum.

    Top of page Solutions

Try these solutions in the order. If give you each one a shot and you can always connect, contact Xbox customer service.

    Solution 1: Check your network

Make sure that your PC is turned on and connected to the same network as your console. You can quickly do this by physically checking that your PC is turned on and all cables are in place, but you can check in 'ping' of your console to the PC. Ping from your console, you need the IP address of your console.

To get the IP address of your console:

    1. in the Xbox interface, go to my Xbox and open Control Panel.
    2. Select network settings, configure the network.
    3. on the basic settings tab, select IP settings.
4 enter the number of IP address (for example, 192.168.1.9). You can leave the network settings area, but leave your console.

Ping on your console from your PC:

    1. If it is off, turn on the Windows Media Center computer.
    2. click on start, run, then type CMD and press ENTER.
    3. at the command prompt, type PING and the IP your writing (for example, PING 192.168.1.9), and then press ENTER.
    4. If you see a series of replies, then your PC 'sees' your console. If you see a series of replies "Request timed" out, then it cannot find your console.

Again, make sure your console or PC are connected to the same network.

Solution 2: Check your PC firewall

Your PC can block your console to connect by using a firewall to filter traffic by blocking ports. You will need to open some ports to connect to your PC.

    * Learn how to open ports in the firewall Windows 7 : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-a-port-in-Windows-Firewall
