Does not not on the AC adapter / CC, but it will charge the battery

Hi all

Little annoying it...

The laptop can run on current alternative at all... but it will charge the battery while the laptop is turned off. If I remove the battery it will not work for flashing the bios seems to be a fruitless task.

Any ideas what could be the problem? Some of my reading on this forum suggest a motherboard failure, but I bought this laptop as a reconditioned/end of the line of PC World model and I'm not sure exactly of my rights with this.

Any help is very appreciated.

Vaughan

Hello

Other people may be right. It looks like something wrong with the motherboard.
Eventually it s a power supply electronic problem. but that's just a guess

However, the solution is the same:
You need a hardware technician who would like to know what part exactly malfunctioned and he would replace
I think in your case it s a motherboard

    Hello everyone,

This problem happened to me only four or five months and recently I bought a new battery and even this new one doesn't detect the laptop and I don't know what else to do. I uninstall the Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and restart the laptop, but nothing has come at this time there, the battery still is not detected. GoTo this page: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=5060881&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4058 there once Utility Tool page goto. Expand it and third a low install Battery Check (Intetnational). This wil let us know if it is software issues by reinstalling the software will write more corrupt software. You have a new battery which destroys a dead battery. Now you have reinstalled the software for this. If it still does not work. Then you know that it is a matter of internal material. That your computer needs minor repairs done on the subject. Could be a burnt wire or wire connection loose a computer repair man would know. Don't let not a Direct HP support because their services are vary bad and very expensive. Trust in me as my computers always returned in a worse state, and then they went to. Six times my HP Touchsmart 600-1050 went in back to back repairs. Seventh time I took my repairman of local computer and bought a good one used to repair damage caused by a Direct HP support and rebuild the computer so I could have a good computer for work.  An estimate in the front when you take it for repairs. If you bought at best buy do not take it for them because they will ship it back to HP Support live also so you end up paying double amount.  You're welcome frrw.

  • HP 8710W (p/n: GT648PA #ABG): 8710W does not start - the battery light flashes orange 7 times then 1 green.

Troubleshooting done so far: I removed (even the RTC) battery, hard drive and memory. Hold the power button for 30 sec.

When I re - install the battery and press the power button, it flashes 7 times orange, and then Green 1. Same thing happens with or without the power supply is connected.

The laptop does well (no fan, no disc doesn't sound etc.) and the screen stays off (i.e. no splash screen).

I thought it was a dead battery, as it was 8 + years, so bought a new replacement. Unfortunately, there no fixed and I still have the same problems with the new battery.

How to decode what mean hot flashes?

What else can we test it before I bin the laptop? I would have preferred not to do so as he has been a full rock performer and the 17 "display is fantastic as a desktop replacement.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a motherboard problem. After eight years of service, it is left for a digital camera never never land.

Unfortunately, it's time to bin and source of a replacement book.

You can retrieve data from the hard drive using a cable or a drive enclosure hard usb 2.5 ".

I understand your disappointment. Workstations are portable very special and very expensive to replace.

  • Satellite M40 does not detect the battery

I formatted my laptop and installed xp and I have problem with battery
The Device Manager shows that without pilot and don t see autonomy and no change when you plug in the power adapter.

Is there a driver for the batteries? Or if windows detects

    > Is there a driver for the batteries? Or if windows detects
Are you serious? You need a battery driver?

Sorry, but buddy I first heard about this driver there is NO driver battery and you don t need these drivers.

The battery should be detected automatically by the operating system.

If you want to see the battery in the taskbar, then I recommend that you install the Toshiba Power Saver. The energy saver must switch to the battery during the passage of the AC adapter in and out.

  • T61p does not recognize the battery replaced

I replaced my battery of 4 years 6 old with another Lenovo, 9-cell battery, 1 year, it loads and seems to work very well, but when I run Power Managet, battery information is always telling me that I have my old 4 year old original farm.

How will I know my T61p to read the news of the nw battery?

I can't find this option in the power manager or in the help.

I go it BIOS for this?

My Lenovo Community menu is also in German, how do I change it to English

    Thank you.

It seems I was wrong, the T61p recognizes the other battery very well, the only problem is that the supposedly old new batery of 1 year is also 4 years as my original battery, so that's the problem, because I never checked the info from my original battery. My bad (smile)--live and learn.

The drive does not recognize my network card Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN wireless on a laptop Lenovo T410. I have an another T410 with Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6200 AGN and it works fine.

    Here are the symptoms:

-When using NAT networking it works fine

-When I use open networking, the guest (in this case, Windows XP) operating system said that the cable is disconnected

-J' found a few threads saying that this could be a router problem, but it's not because with the other computer laptop in the same network, everything works well

-When I connect to the network using the work of connection LAN (cable) filled without problem

-My Network on the host operating system works without any problem

-Windows recognize the adapter wireless without any problem:

-VMware Player does not display the adapter in the transition parameters but shows a kind of virtual map of Microsoft:

-When I run the virtual network Editor is the same: no real but adapter Microsoft virtual card

Have you looked in the host properties for the wireless NETWORK card see if the VMware Bridge Protocol client is installed?  If this isn't the case, add (the inf file must be in the folder that player is installed).

  • Does not detect the hdmi cable more (very specific scenario)

    Well then...

Got a monitor 15-HD to hdmi cable and a mac laptop (13 in the retina).

So when I got all that I put it all together and it worked. I left because there a little bit, everything is plugged in and did not return for some time, so my mac fell asleep at the time wherever I went. Disconnected everything to relax on the couch. I went back and all plugged together again except that now the mac does not detect the cable. Tried a bunch of things with it. Restart, unplug the unit, detection manually, etc...

Since the monitor is used and recently purchased cable, I thought time to them to test first. Got a laptop PC and plugged into the cable. The monitor and cable worked.

Tried to connect my mac to the TV with my ps4′s hdmi since I did that a lot before. Also works.

The problem is literally the combination between the cable and the mac. Which is a problem since I got the reason was to serve as my mac.

During my research, I saw that specifically leaving the connected hdmi where sleeps your laptop can spoil it supposed to be... I saw it one time so idk if it's true, but it happened to me... and no, it wasn't really a solution when I came across that. Tried Googling this specific problem, but did not meet anything since my problem seems so specific.

Fast forward to the next day and tried again now that both had little respite between them. Plugged into the HDMI and my laptop starts fading and return to a black screen. The screen would go black usually and so the laptop screen and the monitor would appear once again. sauf_que this time that there not, he just kept it and the monitor has not changed (Yes) it's). Not wanting to let him do that too long I unplugged and tried a different port with an adapter, I have also, since I did 3 holes I could use this for might as well try them all again. But unfortunately, I don't have it trigger anything again. So I went through another round of troubleshooting to try to make it work, but here I am, trying to see if anyone else has had this problem and solved. I am back to wait another day I guess and just hope. If not idk what to do, except maybe to get another cable? I don't know if this would solve it well.

Thank you for reaching out to the Apple of community support. I'll do everything I can to help you get your monitor works as expected. Our first step would be to restore your System Management Controller (SMC) that allows to manage systems of different material on your Mac. This article will guide you through reset:

    Hello

    I'm a newbie, which has probably asked bin before so if You ' l excuse me, I have a satellite pro A300 - 1 h 2.

I got the volume of unmountable boot blue screen, then tried to adapt to a new samsung drive. I put in my windows disc it will load all the drivers, then says that there is no hard drive?
In the bios, it recognizes it?

    Thanks if anyone can help

    Hello

The problem is that your laptop supports the SATA HDD controller but the system OS does not contain the SATA drivers
You can assign in the compatible SATA mode BIOS.
This allows you to install the operating system without installation of the SATA drivers.

    Welcome them

    Hello

Is your AC adapter malfunctions or there is something wrong with the power supply to electronic s laptop.
In the first case you could purchase a new compatible AC adapter and could check if the laptop can run successfully.
The second possibility is a serious hardware problem, but in this case, the laptop must be checked by an authorized technician.

So, how to control the peripheral power turn off on?

Bq. * + thanks for your attention and patient. + *

    Hello

Firstly the Toshiba Power Saver requires the installation of the common Module.
The common Module for Win XP v1.00.05 can be downloaded from the European pilot page Toshiba.

So before installing the energy saver, install common Module, restart the computer, and then try the energy saver.

In addition the Intel PROSet/Wireless Software can be used only with the Intel Wlan card.
Is the laptop supports the Intel wireless network adapter?

AFAIK the L300 series can be equipped with a Realtek, Atheros and Intel Wlan card
    Check it!

  • Tecra M5 does not record the date and time - battery RTC or CMOS checksum is inconsistent

My Tecra M5 PTM50E reverend new does not record the date and time. I loaded RTC battery for 8 hours when electricity is on in the said user's manual. I don't know where is the problem. The BIOS settings are respect after power is on.

When I change any value in the BIOS, the changes are saved properly but date & time system restored to their value 01/01/2000, 00:00 every time when I get out of turning off more of 2-3 min. Message "RTC battery is low or CMOS checksum is inconsistent.

Press [F1] to set Date/time"does not appear when I power on the computer. Any suggestions?

    Hi guys

Usually this problem appears only if the CMOS (real time clock) battery is empty or corrupted.
The real time clock battery powers the internal clock in real time and calendar. It also maintains the system configuration. If the RTC battery is completely discharged, the system loses these data and the real-time clock. In this case, the message RTC battery is low or CMOS checksum is inconsistent appears.

So I see only two possibilities:
Either you will charge the battery for real-time clock, or you ask the technician for replacement.

Generally, the battery must be completely charged after 8-9 hoers but try to connect the laptop to the power adapter for a long time.
If it will not help solve the problem if you contact the ASP for the RTC battery replacement.
