Does not see the utility Airport Airport Extreme or any other device in the House on the network. However, all devices are getting internet. Backups on external hard drive are going wireless, too. Yosemite day and other software. What should do?
Said Airport utility cannot find extreme AP, which used to be on the network and shows no other devices on the network. But all devices (MBPro, MBAir, iMac, iPod touch, iPad 2 air2) are connected to the internet. Wireless backups on external drives are being completed. El Capitan 10.11.2; Airport Utility 6.3.6. How do "seen it all" again?
What should do?
All you can do is to try to circumvent some of the bugs crawl into El Capitan.
Given that the AirPort Utility becomes easily confused about what are the devices on the network, it will sometimes help to perform a complete cycle of power on the network. If you want to try it...
Power off all devices on the network, routers, computers, accessories, mobile devices, printers, etc... in any order you want
Wait a minute
Turn on the modem first and let it run by itself for 2-3 minutes
Then, switch on the device connected to the modem and leaves turn a good minute
Keep power devices one at a time about a minute out until the entire network is back
Recheck the AirPort Utility
If still no luck, we will have to try some repellent on Mac.

before that norton was installed, it worked, but since Norton was installed AND DELETED, Vista will not see XP or its printers.
I have checked the firewall and they took two computers, but still no luck.
Hello
Did you change your computer?
This problem occurs if the (LLTD) link layer topology discovery Responder component is not installed on the Windows XP computer.
Network card in Windows Vista makes network diagrams of connections between network devices that can be used to troubleshoot connectivity issues. Network map uses a discovery protocol called Link-Layer Topology LLTD (Discovery) that queries other devices on the network to determine how the network is organized.
Windows Vista includes the software components that implement the LLTD protocol. For other devices on the network to display on the map, they must activate a discovery protocol that can meet the demands of mapping from the Windows Vista-based computer.
I suggest you to install the update on windows XP.

Hello
If your router not booking IP use.
Otherwise, configure the computers with static IP addresses.

Then go to sharing and permissions.
Maybe this can help.
Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions
General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

Version 38.0.1 does not see the passwords stored in previous versions
Version 38.0.1 does not see the previously saved passwords, and urged it to re - enter and save the password. After revert you to the version saved 31.7.0 pass back too. We have more than hundreds of copies of the program and all cached passwords, users do not even know what their password. This failure is a serious problem.
Problem solved. Probably the file has been corrupted signons3.txt. I deleted the file, and the new passwords are kept. After this version of the software update and new version I've seen passwords, create a logins.json file and now everything is fine. On all other computers in the company such a problem does not arise.

Portege A600-138 with Vista 32 bit does not see the computers in the Group Win XP network
Hello
My Toshiba Portege A600-138 with Vista Business 32 does not see the computers in the workgroup.
In our office, the computers are all equipped with Windows XP.When I connect my laptop to the Local network, I don't see any neighboring computers in Network Explorer.
I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes to talk to a specialist Service of Support from Microsoft, and the only way to have access to local machines, we found it had to enter the IP of the computer directly into the computer browser path field.I hope you understand what I mean.
The man said that he had no this problem with non - OEM Windows Vista versions.
He meant that the problem was with the oem versions of Vista preinstalled on laptops only.
He said that probably the sellers - in my particular case Toshiba - supplied their notebooks with VIsta oem images that were somehow corrupt.Does anyone have an idea of the cause of this problem?
> The man said that he had no this problem with non - OEM Windows Vista versions.
> It meant that the problem was with the oem versions of Vista preinstalled on laptops only. That's nonsense for me
The Vista OS preinstalled Toshiba which is same BONE as full Vista disc from Microsoft.
There is only one difference; Toshiba laptops are preinstalled with Toshiba and pilots tools and drivers and tools are part of the Toshiba recovery image that contains Vista, driver and toolsCheck this box:
http://www.Computerworld.com/s/article/9019179/Teach_XP_and_Vista_to_play_nice_on_networks?taxono myId = 16 & pageNumber = 1You will find information that a problem has to do with the new Windows Vista network map.
Windows Vista uses a new Protocol (Link Layer Topology Discovery).
LLTD is integrated with Windows Vista, this is why they appear correctly in the network map.
But the problem is that LLTD is not integrated with Windows XP, which is why they do not appear correctly. But you can fix the problem by downloading and installing the layer topology discovery responder.
Install it and your PC Windows XP will appear on the network map. -

Dennis, as usual, is correct. Please check if you have installed NI-VISA. There is an article in the knowledge base on the way in which com ports are not in MAX unless NI-VISA is installed. The link to this article is below.

Sansa clip + does not see the audio books I have loaded
I got my Sansa Clip MP3 player + for two years and it works very well, so far. I only use it for audio books. Recently, I reformatted the player and loaded new books in. When I went to read, the audio books folder was empty. I have connected the player to the computer again, and the books were in the audio books folder, where I had loaded.
I've updated the firmware to the V01.02.16A Version, and there was no change. I tried to reset by pressing the start button. No change.
Memory has 3750 MB with 3135 free, indicating that there are books in memory, but the player does not see the. What is going on?
That's all! I checked the format of audio files. It is the AAFC, with suffix .m4a.
The Sansa manual says:
"The Sansa® MP3 Player will support MP3, WAV, WMA, secure WMA, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis and audiobook formats. I guess that AAC is not one of the formats that they support. So I have to convert .m4a to .mp3. I guess there are a lot of tools to do it. Any suggestions about which one is the best?
Thanks a lot for this revelation.

HP Pavilion dv9000 - XP does not see the HARD drive, how to install it?
Hello
I try to install XP SP3 on HP Pavilion dv9000, but XP Setup does not see the hard drive.
Can you please point me in right direction - what I do files and how to add them to the XP SP3 installation CD necessary?
I guess that somewhere there is a step-by-step detailed guide.

Enter the BIOS by pressing F10 at startup. If you have the option of Bios Setup to disable the native sata mode, XP will install without problem, no sata driver needed. It will be on the tab of the System Configuration.
If you do not have the setting in the Bios, it's the driver sata for your machine: -

We run #5.2 side DMM and DMP. The DMM > digital media player > DMP Manager > status = X. The DMM does not see the DMP. By clicking on the discovery of the DPM and the State has not changed.
The DPM is configured to accept the central maanagement, the DMM is configured with the IP and MAC address. It worked in the last days, and I don't remember any changes that might trigger this behavior.
The last time that I could "communicate" DPM has been: I downloaded a presentation which included a URL that pointed to one of the video inside the DPM.
file:///tmp/FTPRoot/usb_1/Bluefox_Cisco.mpg.
No idea what happened? The above URL is valid? How can I discover the DMP?
Thank you

BIOS does not see the hard drive
For my Presario 6620DK, I bought a Western Digital 160 GB PATA HARD drive, which I want to install instead of the original Samsung SV0602H 60 GB ATA-100.
Unfortunately, bios does not see the new HD. If I'm on the old hard drive, it is recognized by the bios.
I have the jumper in the right position for Cable Select.
What do I have to get new HD work?
Hi, Arne:
There is the outside possiblilty of the drive is bad.
You have another PC, you can test it in?
You have a 120 GB of HARD drive, you can test in the PC?
If she sees the 120 GB HARD drive and not 160 GB HARD drive, then you have your answer.

Have a lenovo t60 disk opportunity was wiped out when trying to install XP Pro, I get message windows does not see the hard drive, but he sees the laptop.
If its SATA you need SATA drivers to install. Since the XP CD doesn't have the SATA drivers on it
Unless you disable the AHCI in the BIOS. Or their wake.
Or get the SATA drivers. Check out them on diskette, press F6 during installation and then add them.
