Does WSUS / Windows Update Agent reinstall updates not installed
I looked for an answer to this all morning and probably I am suffering from block of the researcher and cannot choose the right keywords, but I can't find the answer.
In our environment - Server 2003, WSUS 3.0, XP desktop computers - we have finally approved XP SP3 for client machines and had some problems and some a few machines requiring to uninstall SP3. Is WSUS / Windows Update Agent try to reinstall the service pack again at the next scheduled update (detection as absent but approved), or he knows that he was already installed once and then uninstalled and do not try to install it again?
If this is the first, how can I let SP3 approved for the rest of the Organization and prevent its installation on machines that have yet to be addressed, short of creating a new ORGANIZATIONAL unit for them?
If it is the latter, how can I say get to install at a later date once we have addressed the issues?

Windows Update not install (KB978338)
@Phil only: KB979683 is not a WinXP-specific update. see the software section assigned to http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms10-021.mspx
New W32/Alureon-variants appear hourly. April 2010 MSRT detects only a subset of the variants identified by April 17, 2010.
Above, my main concern is that you have no real-time antivirus program until you have installed the following CA. In other words, the computer may have been infected (but not necessarily with W32/Alureon) before installing the certification authority and the blank apps. (This may explain why you found more CA to be a 'resource Eater"- he never installed correctly & so did not work properly due to the pre-existing infection.)
If I had to fix this computer, I would like to format and do a clean install, no doubt about it.
Good luck!
Hello
You have a problem with Alureon tries to use TDSSkiller it will consume only 5 minutes of your time

Try to use Windows Update to install 2 updates (Windows Internet Explorer 9 for Windows Vista) and an a security update Cumulative for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista KB253048. It's on a laptop at home unique stand alone, works with Windows Vista Home Premium SP2.
Windows Update initially reported two updates correctly installed and asks me to restart the PC, what I'm doing. Before the connection at the reboot prompt, I get a message saying "updates are not configured correctly. Restoration of the changes. It is the next messages saying: step 1/2/3 of 3 0% complete.
After I then connect I get the message ' Windows to not install important updates.Update history reveals the KB253048 cannot install (error 80070005), but IE9 installed successfully. However when click on the IE icon and run Internet Explorer version 8 of Internet Explorer, I get, not version 9.
I tried to do this several times on 2 days, but get same problem.
This gives a shot.

First thing I would do is to remove the cracked versions and then make a broad analysis AV with malwarebytes and other utilities of the VA, not to say what other little hidden surprise, that you got for free.

The update runs, and then told me that updates failed to install update automatik research, I had more failed updates that havew installed correctly.Hi Ben Dean,
Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file.
To run the System File Checker, follow these steps:
1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
2. in the area of results, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. You will be asked to type the password for an administrator account. If you are the administrator or type the administrator password, click on continue. Then click on continue.
3. at the command prompt, type Sfc/scannow, and then press ENTER.

Method 1
I suggest that you manually download and install the update, check if it installs properly.
