Don't call than expected

After being on the phone with someone last night, I had to schedule a follow-up for this evening call (because their system was down at the time).  That time was about an hour ago and I'm still sitting here by the phone!  All I can think is that they do not have the reminder with the time zone I specified when I put to the top of the call. Do I have to lose my whole night corner here awaits a call?

  • Find the that database in SDL developer 2.1 object gives less successful than expected

    I'm confused about the merger of the extended search in find a database object in SDL developer 2.1.

    After some strange results, I looked into this in a simple scenario. It's as follows:
    I have a cursor called app_info in a procedure stored belonging to utility scheme in a 11.1.0.6 db.

    Research using extended SQL Developer 1.5.5 (connected to the same usefulness of diagram) I can't find (= can not search) this slider. But I can't find a public synonym with the same name: public.app_info. Not what I expected, but at least something.

    Using the new feature to find an object database with SQL Developer 2.1.0.63 I connect to the same usefulness of schema and try to find the app_info and get no success at all the (Type and use: ALL). The public synonym found 1.5 is not found with 2.1. Even hope to pinpoint his exact name stored procedure fails.

    I have 6 stored procedures in utility scheme starting with a common prefix. These are visible in the Connections tab under the link (utility users). I tried to find each other using the prefix and a wildcard: % util (Type and use: ALL). I get 6 hits - but these are just the statement and definitions for 3 of 6 procedures I was expecting to find. I'm bored of 3 procedures here. One of the procedures I'm missing in the results contains the cursor didn't find in the first place.

    Mark user_objects I find 32 objects starting with this prefix. I expect to find all the. Also I don't see anything that distinguishes 3 procedures found the other 3 who failed to find a database object that you want to search for.

    What happens here? Is this a bug or do I need to look elsewhere or change something?

    but the machines of my friends who have inferior properties are so fast

    Is there someone has this machines? It has the same problems? or only I have these problems?

    Thank you very much right now.

    Hi mate

    > Configuration of xp, it is hourssss
    This means that you have tested the laptop under Win XP?

    How did you install the Win XP? Have you installed using AHCI mode (in BIOS) or you switch to compatible mode?

    By using the compatibility mode that HARD drive could run slower and this could affect the performance of the operating system.

    Solution: You must install the Win XP in AHCI mode. I think the laptop supports the AMD chipset and the required drivers are therefore part of the ATI graphics chip.
    Download the graphics driver, choose the drivers SATA and include it in the Win XP disc using nLite application. nLite is free and all details can be found in the internet.

  • UCCX call lines expectations

    Currently we run 8.0.2 UCCX and have a multi queue helpdesk.  Agents have multiple skills assigned to them.  We have a request now add a prompt to just 1 queue which will increase the priority of this call and only affect this queue.  From my understanding, raising the priority of queue will affect all other queues and give this priority call presedence over all calls queued upward rather than only those of this queue.  Is there a way I can work around this problem?  Thank you.

    Hi David

    Basically you assign a priority to a call, and calsl are delivered FIFO for each priority group in descending order. So say you call Pri 5, then it will be delivered before the groups calls low-priority even if they have been in the queue longer.

    It is therefore a top priority and you want to use selectively to avoid at the expense of lower priority calls.

    As you say, if you have multiple queues, but all are served by the same pool of agents, this will affect all of the queues as it prevails on the map of FIFO.

    The only other way to make a priority of calls is the indirect approach to allocation of competencies for the "priority queue" to more agents.

  • Window 2 day using FRA more than expected recovery.

    Hello, can someone please help me understand why my 2 day recovery window uses a lot more space FRA than I expected.

    Here is some basic information.

    Oracle 11g R2

    Windows 2008R2

    The database size = 16.77 GB

    I have my FRA

    Newspaper archives = 10.5 GB (approximately 2-3GBs daily)

    Backupset = 1.63 GB (500MB per day)

    Control file = 16.3 MB

    Copy of image DB 13.7 GB

    Journal online = 30MB

    I use the Oracle out of the box back up strategy

    Run {}

    allocate channels oem_disk_backup device type of disk.

    retrieve the copy of the database with the tag "ORA_OEM_LEVEL_0".

    extra strength 1 cumulative backup copies = 1 to retrieve the copy with the tag database 'ORA_OEM_LEVEL_0 ';

    }

    FRA my height is 60 GB.

    I do not perform backups on tape (which RMAN knows)

    Everything is on disk.

    I expect at some point that Oracle will review files outside of my window of recovery to be recoverable, but I am struggling to figure out when.

    Now, if I put a window of recovery of 1 day (it's the current setting). It builds up to about 23 GB then it will start to have recoverable files. If I put a 2 day recovery window, it will consume all of 60GB and ends up falling. Why a 2 day recovery window is to consume as much space (more than double)?

    I know that everything is on the disk and maybe that's my problem. In my scenario when oracle would consider to be recoverable files?

    I thank very you much for your time.

    Hello again;

    on "oracle considers the files to be recovered.

    The only answer I have ever seen on this is when "Oracle feels the pressure of space", rather vague.

    Be careful when you use the window of recovery that you put it high enough to cover yourself.

  • Schema register get different columns than expected

    Hello

    I use Oracle 11.2 on a Windows Server 2008-based computer

    I expect that when I join an XSD, I'd get an XMLTYPE column AND the columns contained the element in the xsd.

    For example running the following script, I would expect that the ROOT table contains a column of ID and INFORMATION table will contain columns INFO_ID and INFO_CONTENT.

    What I am doing wrong?

    var schemaPath varchar2(256)
    var schemaURL  varchar2(256)

    begin
      :schemaURL := 'http://localhost/public/xsd/myschema_bin.xsd';
      :schemaPath := '/public/myschema_bin.xsd';
    end;
    /

    call dbms_xmlSchema.deleteSchema(:schemaURL,4);

    declare
      res boolean;
      xmlSchema xmlType := xmlType(
    '                Example XML Schema                                                                                                               '
    );
    begin
      if (dbms_xdb.existsResource(:schemaPath)) then
          dbms_xdb.deleteResource(:schemaPath);
      end if;
      res := dbms_xdb.createResource(:schemaPath,xmlSchema);
    end;
    /

    alter session set events='31098 trace name context forever';

    DECLARE
      BINARY_XML boolean:=TRUE;
    BEGIN
         IF (BINARY_XML)
         THEN
            dbms_xmlschema.registerSchema(SCHEMAURL => :schemaURL,
                                          SCHEMADOC => xdbUriType(:schemaPath).getXML(),
                                          LOCAL     => TRUE,
                                          GENTYPES  => FALSE,
                                          GENBEAN   => FALSE,
                                          GENTABLES => TRUE,
                                          FORCE     => FALSE,
                                          OPTIONS   => DBMS_XMLSCHEMA.REGISTER_BINARYXML,
                                          OWNER     => USER);
         ELSE
            dbms_xmlschema.registerSchema(SCHEMAURL => :schemaURL,
                                          SCHEMADOC => xdbUriType(:schemaPath).getXML(),
                                          LOCAL     => TRUE,
                                          GENTYPES  => TRUE,
                                          GENBEAN   => FALSE,
                                          GENTABLES => TRUE,
                                          FORCE     => FALSE,
                                          OWNER     => USER);
         END IF;
    END;

    Of more when I try to get the information on the table created it just tells me that it is an XMLTYPE, and I expect to specify the XMLTYPE is an instance of the registered scheme is what I get:

    desc INFO931_TAB;

    Name                           Null     Type

    ------------------------------ -------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    SYS_NC_ROWINFO$                         XMLTYPE()

    Not that I see a problem, but I really wonder why you choice is XMLType ro. If it's a temporary storage solution a binary XML Securefile XMLType column would be more "reasonable"?

    The following might be a solution (not a readable-, but it would be unique)

    Select object_id. » -'|| x1.EmpNo | | » -'|| y.addrno as 'UNIQUE_ADDR_IDENT '.

    emp_xmltype_table has,.

    XMLTABLE (' / employees ')

    PASSAGE object_value

    COLUMNS

    EmpNo to ordinalite,

    Employee_Name PATH VARCHAR2 (4000) "name."

    employee_age Number (38) PATH 'Age '.

    ) x 1,

    XMLTABLE)

    XMLNAMESPACES ('http://www.oracle.com/emp.xsd' AS 'emp').

    "Addr/employee / '.

    PASSAGE object_value

    COLUMNS

    addrno for the ordinalite,

    VARCHAR2 (30) Street WAY 'Street '.

    ) y ;

    That said, if you follow the odie_63 (How To: load XML in multiple tables data |) Blog of Oracle of Odie), for inclusion in the address table, create an address unique id (ID) and also store information of object_id (& emprno), addrno. By OBJECT_ID & ADDRNO (based on current XSD) you now can still find the original address in EMP_XMLTYPE_TABLE.

    Object_id tells you what original XML document to select. EMPRNO (currently always = 1) and ADDRNO will tell you which address (position) in the XML document. As long as the position in the XML document is not littered with (insert address before the need / relational stored address), it should work.

    Hello, starting to loose faith Thinapp after struggling for a while, I hope someone can help.

    However, the Sats software throws a mistake the second I have connection about midas.dll that this is not the correct version, but it seems its not able to not to get the information from the DLL itself as the error with module SAIS NO version before tell me what she expects.

    The file is supposed to be in C:\Windows\syswow64 and I see its place properly in the packaged aswell 32-bit environment like all the registry keys in thinapp correctly pointing to % % SystemSystem

    It works fine on the machine, we capture the package with so it's not a problem with the version of the operating system or environment.

    Enforcement does not at all with Thinapp 4.7.3 so its packaged with 4.6.1.

  • Why SYS. DBMS_PARALLEL_EXECUTE. CREATE_CHUNKS_BY_ROWID creates sometimes higher than expected pieces?

    I am running

    Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64 bit Production

    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.3.0 - Production

    "CORE 11.2.0.3.0 Production."

    AMT for Linux: Version 11.2.0.3.0 - Production

    NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.3.0 - Production

    I build and maintain a data warehouse and often use DBMS_PARALLEL_EXECUTE for the loading of large amounts of data. I noticed that sometimes, especially when the size of my lot is large compared to the total number of rows in the segmented table, CREATE_CHUNKS_BY_ROWID creates a lot more than pieces that I would have expected, which most contain no data. For example, in a recent essay, I had 33K lines in the segmented table, and I specify a batch size of 10K. I expect about 4 pieces. I had 1002. All works fine, I'm just curious about these many (occasional) empty pieces. I always run a GATHER_STATS on the segmented table before DBMS_PARALLEL_EXECUTE.

    I stumbled across this myself.

    Simplified: the ROWID is discontinuous.

    Why?:  Lines (re) move, space is created. (especially when you add LOB data<4000 bytes="" so="" that="" it="" is="" stored="">

    If you do a join / select on the pieces, you will probably see most of them have count (*) 0

    (something like that...)

    Select C.chunk_id, count (*)

    of user_parallel_execute_chunks C

    une_table T

    where T.rowid between C.start_rowid and C.end_rowid

    C.chunk_id group;

    I would only use CHUNK_BY_ROWID on the tables where I can assume that the data move and/or produce gaps during normal activity.

    (for example warehouse tables)

    TAKE 2:

    I also ran into this problem where the KP has been very rare (and would produce the same kind of problem).

    This would produce similar results when using CHUNK_BY_NUMBER_COLUMN().

    To overcome that, I used an intermediate table and stored in bulk on the table.

    (not for you to edit the SQL code used for PE)

    for example

    create the table intermediate_table

    as

    Select rownum, T_ID, T.some_pk

    of une_table T.

  • When I export to PDF from InDesign, my page size is higher than expected.

  • Program runs faster than expected - optimization of the compiler/DURATION?

    Hello.
    Here is the code example:

    Public Shared Sub main (String [] args) {}
    int var = 0;
    Start long = System.currentTimeMillis ();
    for (int i = 0; i < 1000000; i ++) {}
    for (int y = 0; y < 1000000; y ++) {}
    var = i + y;
    }
    }
    System.out.println ("operation took" + (System.currentTimeMillis () - start));
    System.out.Print (var);
    }

    And the output is:

    Operation took 10
    1999998

    So, it took only 10 milliseconds to run 1000000 * 1000000 additions.
    Question: is Java not actually perform additions or my expectations is just too old fashioned and it's normal "timing" on modern machines?

    Thank you
    Valery

    Valery_Cherepanov wrote:

    No it's not "drop" anything. The Hotspot compiler figures simply noted that this:

        for (int y = 0; y < 1000000; y++)
            var = i + y;

    is exactly equivalent to this:

       var = i + ;

    And then he made similar optimization for the outer loop.

    It's just an optimization compiler do what does a compiler optimization: optimization of your microbenchmark down to nothing.

    (And looking at the byte-code is not particularly for education, as optimization happens in Hotspot, not in javac.) Access point can do things like inline method that javac cannot do so many things, so most of the optimizations are implemented in Hotspot rather than javac.)
