  • Don't reinstall the Mavericks 10.9.5 clean, no available iPhoto?

I have an iMac in early 2008.

was running Mountain Lion, decided to do a clean reinstall of Mavericks (Genius bar has done that for me, in fact).

    10.9.5 version

Now I see there is no camera app not iPhoto, etc. I think that Apple includes ALL iPhoto in installs it Mavericks, they do it because they can't stand!

I don't have any earlier version. or buy the "app store", as my old iPhoto was purchase/installation initial and updated updated

support playback... seen a suggestion to install iPhoto 9.4.3. who doesn't, says I need iPhoto 9.1, which I did not!

I don't think the new "Photos" app works on Mavericks (and apple suggested that with this computer I'm not newer than the Mavericks in terms of operating system).

so, I am at a loss? How can I manage/view my pictures now?

    even, in fact, with iMovie...

Seen a few references to get an ilife11 disk, then install an older version of iPhoto and then making a series of updates...? all this must be so complicated -? of course, I was not informed of this issue on the apple store :-(

    Thank you.

When you purchased the Mac, you should have received a digital copy of iLife (iPhoto, iMovie, etc.) credited on your Apple ID the first time that you connect to the App Store with your Apple ID. In this case, all you have to do is to go to the App Store and re-download the iPhoto, iMovie, applications etc from the tab purchased in the Appstore.

  • Canon MX870 - need to reinstall the printer for wireless printing, whenever I reboot computer

    Hello

I had my Canon MX 870 for almost 4 years now and have always printed wireless. A few weeks ago my printer started to appear offline when I started my laptop and the only way I could get the printer back online was to remove the printer and reinstall the software again. Since then, every day, I have to remove the printer and reinstall the software and driver in order to use the wireless printer.

I tried all known bugs and nothing has worked.

Does anyone have suggestions on what could cause this problem?

    Hello.

The issue you describe seems to be linked to a timeout between the router and the printer.  In this case, he should be advised that you turn the printer off and on again in order to refresh the connection to the network.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Compatibility of the warranty replacement wireless adapter

I have the Dell Inspiron 15 500 I5558. I bought it in August this year. Since the 1st day, I had problems with the wireless adapter. I've updated the drivers, I did troubleshoot with Dell, etc. The card that came with the laptop Intel AC 3160 and if you Google Intel AC 3160, you'll get several hits from users having problems with it. My tech support was rude and very long. I knew a lot more technology has made.

He finally decided that the card was bad. I said please do not send me another 3160 - there is a problem with this card. He agreed and said he checked and AC 7265 would be compatible with my laptop. I saw pictures of my map and pictures of the AC 7265. They are two PCIe cards, but the AC 3160 has just an antenna and is half-height. The 7265 has 2 antennas and is NOT low profile. I saw on the Dell website that the NEW Dell 15 5000 comes with the AC 3165 (I think) or the AC7265.

I know that you need to have an added aerial if they use the 7265, but will it work? It fit?

I realize the 3160 is halfway, but this does not mean that there is not space for a larger map.

    Hello

It gets confusing you know that sometimes, but Intel has generally several form factors from each of their wireless cards that they put out.  (it's really a change on the chips that change).  It confuses me all the time.

I can tell you that looking at the internal view together data of the product for the Insp 5558 than the AC7265 from Intel is one of the cards which is listed as an option available at the point of sale, so you should have no problem.

    I hope this helps.

  • my laptop cannot connect wirelessly to the internet with the built-in wireless adapter

  • Disable the admin for wireless adapter identification information

I'm trying to allow our users the ability to enable or disable their adapters wireless computers without needing administrator credentials. is this possible via GPO or something like that or is it something that is built into windows? our users are on windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit. Thank you for your help.

This is not possible.  The reason is that the network (the actual network card) hardware is shared a shared resource (users, programs, all share the same as that of the process).  It will always administrator rights to make a change affecting any person other than yourself, and what qualifies.  Need administrator rights to modify a global system.

Note also that this is a virus fighting measure also.  Since any process that takes control of the global administrator could then look at all the data from the network, this program could do very malicious things like your data log, block it, or redirect to other locations. He could usurp your certificate and your antivirus updates or even your firewall prevent work.

For all this and many more reasons, must an administrator make global change to your network card configuration. This is why many laptops have a switch on the side to turn it on and off.

  • How can I reinstall the non-plug-and-play drivers that I have uninstalled mistakeningly?

I have a Dell Inspiron and recently started having random blue screens, close down and the inability to get out of hibernation with her. I ran Microsoft Security databases, and he is found to have viruses Alureon.A, whom he said he eliminated, but when running - it again, it was in Quarentine. Tried to get into SafeMode w / networking to remove and it quarentined again. Return to normal and it works, it shows up again!
I did some research on Google and found another way to remove it by devmgmt.msc and could not find the file that it supposed to delete. A next post had a list of non-plug-and-play drivers, and I misread this post and uninstalled the files he had. Reading - it a second time, they were not the drivers to uninstall! So now I uninstalled the drivers, that I should not have, and I'm afraid to turn it back on. What should I do? Is there anyway I can get these drivers or is it easier to reinstall Windows Vista all together and fix the drivers and get rid of the virus?

I was also unable to update Windows with this virus, with MSE.

    Accidentally uninstalled files were:
    A sound signal
    HTTP
    NDIS system driver
    NDProxy
    Null value
    RDPCDD
    Remote Access Auto Connection Driver
    VgaSave

First of all, I recommend you download and run the program below.  It's the only one I found that systematically identifies and removes infections Alureon.

How to remove malware belonging to the family Rootkit.Win32.TDSS (aka Tidserv, TDSServ, Alureon)?

    http://support.Kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?QID=208280684

So, I see two possibilities. Sfc/scannow in an elevated command prompt might reapair missing files and is worth a try.

If this fails, try the system restore.  It is a risk and could fail and possibly further damaging the system.  If If is running it will probably restore the infection as well.  In this case, restart TDSSKiller and other malware analysis.

Although I always discover a wipe and reinstallaton ultimately, it may turn out to be necessary in your case.

  • RALink 802.11n Wireless Adapter - connects at startup but the dsiconnects after a few minutes

    Hello

I have a HP Pavillion DV6-3125SA and just reinstalled Windows 7 Home Prem after installing a new hard drive. Initially everything (including the wireless adapter) had been working perfectly, and then after the last round of updates (as you know that get you about 1 million of updates on the re - install) my wireless adapter started to misbehave. He started sporadically disconnect and reconnect, but now it gets disconnected and remains disconnected. It still works fine at startup. I checked that the driver software is updated, more I also uninstalled and let it automatically re - install. An interesting point to note, is that when I linked to go in Device Manager to disable (and re-enable), Device Manager freezes and unresponsive.

Someone at - it had a similar problem or know a solution?

    Thanks for your help.

    Megan

    Its a cell phone, right?

Run windows Update >... settings disable the updates recommended leaving ONLY the important updates for automatic installation.

Visit the HP support, specific to your model, and then reinstall the chipset and wireless driver

    See if that helps

  • Wireless adapter is no longer present in the Device Manager

    Hello

I have an Asus laptop 1015E (http://www.asus.com/us/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/1015E/#overview) running Windows 8.  I don't know when it happened, but the built-in wireless adapter is no longer present in the Device Manager.  I tried to use the Asus install app to reinstall the driver Asus Wireless Radio control, but it just says: it is already installed.  I also went to the site of asus via an ethernet connection and tried to download the latest drivers for wireless card, but installation cannot.  It seems as if the laptop detects most hardware, so I can't install driver software. Any ideas on how to proceed?
    Thank you

    Hi wolves.

Do you receive an error message/code?

When a device does not work, it's mostly because the driver has been corrupted.

Here are some ways you can follow to resolve the problem:

    Method 1:

Check out the link and follow the steps in the article:

How can I troubleshoot network card?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/fix-network-adapter-problems#

    Method 2:

You will need to install the Chipset Drivers first and later network adapter drivers.

    Reference:

    http://www.ASUS.com/us/supportonly/Drivers_For_Win8/#support_Download_36

    Method 3:

Check the BIOS of the laptop to check that there isn't an option to toggle the map.

Note: You can contact the manufacturer of the computer, if you are not comfortable access or make changes in the BIOS.

Note: Changing the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

In addition, contact the OEM of your system and see if they can replace the adapter or run a test to make sure that the adapter is working properly.

I hope this helps. If you have any other queries/issues related to Windows, write us and we will be happy to help you further.

  • How to activate the wireless adapter

I currently have a HP Pavilion 17 computer laptop with Windows 7 Professional.  A few times in the past in the unit's wireless adapter stopped working.  I don't remember what I did to get it working again, then however at this time I can not activate even if I followed all the steps to change the settings of the adapter on the network and sharing Center.  When I select Connect, it simply shows that it is not connected.  Nothing I have tried seems to help.  I have a unit of Belkin Wi - Fi that works and my laptop runs as long as I have an Ethernet cable connected.  However if I disconnect the cable from the laptop does not connect via wireless adapter.  In the past he would always stay connected to the Wi - Fi connection even if I disconnected the cable.  Please give me any thoughts you had to solve it.  Thanks in advance for your efforts and help.

I just wanted to know that I found the solution to my problem with the help of a response of the same issue posted last year.  Repeated pressing the F12 key with the picture of an airplane on the wireless card.  Forgive my ignorance, but thanks to all who took time to try to help me.
