  You will get this error the driver for your Bluetooth device is not updated.
  Go to the site of the factory and check if there is an update for your Blue Tooth device.

  If this does not work, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the driver on your computer.  Here are the steps to uninstall and reinstall the driver:

  Uninstall a device:

  To uninstall a device with Device Manager:

  1. launch Device Manager.

  2. in the left pane of Device Manager, open the node that represents the type of device you want to uninstall, and then right click on the input of the unit.

  3. in the context menu, click on uninstall.

  4. in the dialog box confirm the device removal, click OK to start the uninstall process.

  5. when the uninstall is complete, unplug the device.

  If you have a Broadcom Blue tooth device, I found an update on the Broadcoms site you can try:

  -Do you have Bluetooth devices internal or external connected to the laptop?
  -Have you checked if all the Bluetooth drivers on two laptops are very well installed?
  -This work was fine before? If so, what are the hardware/software changes made on the computer before this problem started?

  You can buy an external usb bluetooth adapter if you need to add the bluetooth.

  Unfortunately, after looking for HP Support and drivers; I found 11 products part of the major HP G56 series - however after viewing each of them - all models had drivers for Windows 7. and some even had for Windows XP - BUT there is no Windows Vista drivers for one of the 11 models.

  However, Windows Vista is a bit like Windows 7; and although I've never tested Windows 7 drivers MAY work correctly for Windows Vista.

  Download Windows 7 Bluetooth drivers and try to install.

  Never used it before so I tried the XP program compatibility Wizard I forgot. That fixed the problem with the USB cord. I had downloaded the new driver for XP but didn't know how to use it and could not open or some nomatter what I tried or where I put nothing helped. Installation using old records kept asking for files, that I didn't of course. All tried, you know the drill. Install, uninstall, and more. Went back on Yahoo search (20' e time) and found a score to the HP page where I had downloaded the driver. «How to install «...»» "don't remember that being there when I got the driver downloaded. Then I followed the instructions, once more and double click on the new driver on my laptop and installed like a champ.

  After much frustration and MANY non-answers available on this site, I found the best solution for me:

  Uninstall the driver AND remove it in the process (for me it's click right on the BT device in devices and printers, properties, advanced, change settings, uninstall, check the box "delete also").

  He's going to rediscover and properly reinstall the next time to you put the adapter. And once I did that, everything worked.

  Previously, I tried just uninstall the driver. It is not enough.

  To be honest I don't understand your provider. Each manufacturer offers different portable model with different model name or model number so that customers can find presentation on the manufacturers web page.

  Different models have same hardware platform, so I don't know how to help you with your question. Ask her to model exact name or model number, so we can find the exact specification for laptop on the toshiba support page.
