  It is true that you can see the plan, dimensions by means of the EAS, but you should not change or manage by EAS for a planning application as it should be done in the planning and then pushed to essbase.
  If you created a new planning application, you will need to connect to the planning application, then run a refresh to essbase.

• 11.1.1.3 - planning manually remove a classic Application

  We are caught between the hammer and the anvil. We have a corrupt Classic application and need to remove it as we need to deploy a new application of EPMA using the same name and the data source. We use an Oracle database, the storage space for this application so it is own tablespace. However, in my view, there are other tables that need to be changed in order to manually remove a classic planning app anyone have steps to properly remove a classic application of planning in 11.1.1.3?

  Remove the shared services application.
  Remove the essbase app (using the Regional service)
  Go to the planning of the tables relational system

  Table HSPSYS_APPLICATION, delete the line relating to the planning application, note the app_id.
  Table HSPSYS_APP_CLUSTER_DTL, delete the line with the id that you noted right down (a record can exist not so just, skip this step)
  Table HSPSYS_PROPERTIES, delete records with the id that you noted down.
  Table HSPSYS_DATASOURCES, app_id-1 update to the data source that you use for planning about (if you do not use the datasource once again simply remove the folder)

  Restart planning.
  Drop/recreate the schema for the planning application, it's so the schema can be used again when you re-create the application.
  Start again.

• Upgrade to classic application HFM EPMA works not

  I'm trying to upgrade a classic application of EPMA using the "request Upgrade Assistant" in HFM 11.1.1.3. Verifying upgrade requests, I receive the following errormessage:
  
  Cannot upgrade application TOTCONSOL - cannot find application server information. Instance =, listener = AppServer = nl-s - lim00005.fin.local, WebServer = nl-s - lim00002.fin.local, DataSource = NONE
  
  The application works well and is accessible without any problems. Does anyone know what causes this error and what could be the solution?

  By double clicking or open an application the following message window appears:

  I can launch the application (like Word or Internet Explorer) by right clicking on the executable and selecting the option 'start '.

  Because these files are the application files, I'm not aware of a method to create an association for it.  I thought it was for files that must be associated with an executable file. "as a Word to Word document".

  How can I solve this problem?

  We have just improved 9 Classic at EMP 11.1.2.
  
  We left the classic database, but now we know we have to convert in EMP in order to easily manage metadata.
  
  In help, for the "Transforming traditional application in performance" box, there is a sine qua non:
  
  •Before to transform a classic Performance Management architect planning application, remove all spaces in the names of the dimensions of the attribute. For example, rename an attribute called Extra Small for ExtraSmall.
  
  Here are my questions:
  
  (1) what exactly does means 'Dimension of the attribute? This is the label that is given to all member attributes? Or does that mean the name of the dimension? For example, we have a dimension called 'Entity', which contains members with labels like 'NonGuarantorBMD' or 'Inc. tax Exp '. I think that these members?
  
  (2) what happens if you do not change them? Afterwards you can their difficulty? The system entire crash and burn? It gives you a friendly warning?

  The attribute dimensions are for Essbase/Planning, not HFM, so this does not apply to you.

  We at HFM 11.1.2.1.103 and this morning I ran the copy utility application to make a copy of our production application, so I could make some chages in the test environment.  The copy completed successfully.  When I go to save the application, I get the error message (real server replaced by SERVER name) below:

  I've never had a problem doing this before and don't know where to begin the search.  I've done the obvious server restarts, but still get the error message.

  Thanks for the reply.  It wasn't really a problem with the copy of the application.  I just got out of a call with the support of the Oracle and they have managed to solve the problem.

  On the application server in the directory of the working C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1_instance\products\FinancialManagement\Server folder

  Missed me a folder structure additional report Style Sheets\Registration which contains an InstanceRegistration.xslt file which is needed for the application process.

  Now, I just need to know how this record has disappeared as if by magic!

  I created 2 models in my designer:
  
  HYPERION_MODEL_TEST and ORACLE_SQL_SOURCE, the first has the reverse engineering dimensions ranging from planning and the other is to get the table that contains the members of my size. For the staging area, the synopsis in memory DB is used.
  
  LKM SQL for SQL and SQL IKM in Hyperion Planning is used.
  
  In the interface, I take the source table and the dimension of planning as a target I map the Parent, Alias account: by default, the data storage and ownership of aggregation (Plan1) of the target of the GBA in my dimension table.
  
  All be saved well and when I run it I get the error, clues?

  First of all there is no interest in using the memory storage engine as the staging area if Oracle is your source, you can also use Oracle as the transit area, the staging area probably will not be used as usual a straight SQL query will be generated.
  In your target mappings have also tried setting "run on the staging.
