Double-sided A5 problem

Hello, I just bought an OfficeJet 8610 and everything works perfectly, except that I can't print double-sided on A5... A4 is not a problem, but it will not work with A5 :-(

Hi @KevinSimmons

The duplexer supports only the paper size letters. often times A4 works as well as it is not supported, but the A5 will not work due to the size. You could manually duplex instead of use the duplexer duplex automatic.

  • HP Deskjet 6988: The problem is how to get to 'double-sided automatically' with 10 WIN my HP Deskjet 6988 printer

My Deskjet 6988 has been printing double-sided automatically (I have the setting of appropriate material) for the last 3 years. However, when I upgraded to Windows 10, who have enough work. No pilot is available online (HP site) and the disc that came with my printer does not work with Windows 10. Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Really, I love my printer and do not think I should buy a new printer for automatic two-sided printing.

On Windows systems, the function "automatic detection" used by some drivers on the install (or update) does not always; make sure the driver knows that a duplex unit is present on the printer (assuming that a single is present):

    • For the instance of the printer in question, bring up the printer properties dialogue.
    • Select the device settings tab.
    • Make sure the duplex unit is set to installed and not installed.

You will probably need to be logged in with administrator credentials in order to change the settings of the device.

If your model does not have a duplex unit equipped (i.e. not one of the models with a suffix "d"), then you can't do automatic duplexing. You can do manual duplex printing (assuming that the printer driver supports this).

  • PhotoSmart Premium C309a: PhotoSmart Premium C309a in Win10 driver to print double-sided problem

My problem is this: I created a catalog in MS Publisher 2013 for format A4 paper with 2 pages per document. I chose booklet side folding type and print double-sided.

MS Publisher prepared pages correctly. I even created versuions PDF of these pages. But every time when I print pages, the printer keeps make them smaller (I think that balance for letter size) despuite the fact that I changed in the printer preferences A4as default paper source, all the documents are in format A4 etc.

Accordingly, the printed pages are shifter in the Center on the left side page, which is OK for printing side but may not work for printing side doyuble that shift is in different directions for paper result.

In addition, I can just print more on DVD or CD surfaces as the driver does not support a feature of sauch.

Let me know how I can replace the native driver for Windows 10 with that for Windows 8.1? Or are there other solutions, except using another OS?

    THX, Vlad.

In fact, it is not metter. The real problem was in the printer drivers. For some reason, Windows 8 driver package failed was installed and it creates the problem.

I have installed HP SupportFramework and HP Support Assistant software. After the Support Assistant software downloaded a driver package, which is exactly what I used to use before so that the installation was successful.

    Now, everything works fine.

    Thank you for your support,

    Vlad.

  • OfficeJet 6700 problem - impossible double-sided A5

    Hello

I bought a HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium and I want A5 double sided cards but I can't do.

If I put the page by default A5 and nec print on both sides, either short or long the coast, I get an error on 'conflicting settings. Print on both sides works no problem for A4.

I had a quick glance in the manual and it says it does duplex for A5. I installed the latest all-in-one driver and firmware.

Is there something obvious that I'm missing? Do I need a specific tray (just take the bac A4) or duplexer?

    Any help appreciated,

    Patrick

Patrick, I've reproduced that you do it myself and found that you have reason, manual, in this case has incorrect information. I'll be sure that information is shared with the appropriate people to verify this. For A5 paper, with duplex, the only right now available option is manual.

However, I will also check the regional settings and see if the metric of this document type of conflict with the region including the printer is zoned for. As a follow-up, where was the printer purchased and where are you now?

  • Turn off double-sided Excel printing on Mac with HP office jet pro 8600

I see a lot of forums about this issue but no real solution.

I have a HP officejet Pro 8600.  I used to have a small HP but never had this problem.

I agree that in word, you get the box to uncheck if you don't want to double-sided printing. BUT when in Excel, you don't get the same printer option and I can't find anywhere to stop printing double-sided to Excel.  It's so boring.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello
Please follow the steps below for dosed duplex printing:

Go to Excel, click the file menu and select print. The print window is displayed.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Click Show details to see all the available parameters.

Click the Copies and Pages in the print dialog box.

    Select layout from the drop-down.

Set the duplex option as Off

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset. By default, a used preset will remain until another preset will be used.

  • HP CP1025nw: Double-sided printing at Yosemite OSX

I have a CP1025nw running wireless on our network. This printer supports printing double-sided pages recharge.

Were two-sided printing with an air of Macbook OSX Lion V 10.7.5 running successfully. Recently bought a new Macbook pro of the retina, running OSX Yosemite V 10.10.4. He immediately picked up the printer and installed a driver which works very well but no double not back print. Boxes diaglog feel like just Word, PDF, Outlook, Safari or Firefox printing, not stay have the option of double face, or if it is visible, are greyed out and cannot be selected.

Is this a problem with the version of the driver that has been chosen automatically by the Macbook/OSX?

    Ideas for a solution?

I can always print duplex from my old computer.

    Hi Feeben,

When checked the specification for this printer looks like it has manual Duplex via the software where you select, and then you manually turn the paper to print the second side. This is the option that you can reference to the which is grayed out.

How is the printer connected... USB/network.

Given the operating system automatically selected the driver, it could be the default AirPrint driver.

Click the link and download the driver for printer HP V3.1.

Now go to System Preferences > printers and Scanners > right click on printer and click Reset the Printing System(Note: This will delete all the printers under the printers and scanners, Do not perform at this point if multiple printers installed)

If Reset Printing system is ignored then forts of the printer and click on the symbol (-) to delete the printer.

    Adding the printer:

Click the plus (+) symbol, select Add printers and Scanners

On the Windows Add strong printer from the printer

Down in the section USE click on move to the bottom and select the printer Name (CP1025).

    Click Add

Now, check if the manual duplex option is enabled.

    Thank you

  • LaserJet P1102w: Double-sided printing will not turn off

Even if double-sided printing is NOT selected in the printer properties, printing all ask for double-sided printing.  So if I go to print a single page printjob, the computer asks to have the blank page that was 'printed' just to get back in the tray.

How can I get this fixed?

    Hi @Skunkeeper,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you use a HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer with a Windows 10 computer and when you try to print a single page, the printer ejects a blank page and ten invites you to put in the tray, so the second side can be printed, even if double-sided printing is not selected. I would like to help with that.

This really looks like a software problem. I would like to start by running this HP print and Scan Doctor. It is a tool that allows you to diagnose and solve the problems of printing software and printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • Print double-sided on DeskJet 935c w / Snow Leopard

I've recently updated to OS X 10.4 to 10.6.8.  Now, my HP DeskJet 935c printer will print on one side.

At first, I could not print at all. I deleted and reinstalled the driver (the last seems to be under 10.5), how I was able to print, but the double-sided printing check box does not appear.  Under available (from 3rd drop on the print window), I can see a 'Double' option, but the selection is grayed out.  I have the duplex unit and have been printing on both sides for years, is not material.  I also tried to change the driver through Print & Fax (System Preferences).  The printer is HP DESKJET 930C; I don't remember if it was the case before.  I tried both the drivers HP DeskJet 930C and 935c Gutenprint v5.2.3 (and another at the outset, I believe).  ...  I don't have the print quality of the selection (draft mode, standard, best) options, I had before.  I don't remember the other options I had, but I have eight (of which some are not really options) and I think I used to have about twelve years.

My printer does not appear in the http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP.

Does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem?  A new driver under development?

    Hello

Unfortunately, a new driver will become unavailable because the product is not supported with any Mac SO X higher then v10.5.

The same information listed for the Deskjet 930c apply for the 935C as part of the same series:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01856359

According to the analysis that follows, there is a known issue with duplexing for some old deskjet models:

    http://sourceforge.NET/projects/Gimp-Print/Forums/Forum/4358/topic/3563875

As written in here, the user reported that he had him using the HPIJS driver.

Hope this information is useful for the problem, you

    Hello

What application you are printing PDFS from? This is Adobe Reader or preview of Apple?

In Adobe Reader, open the print dialog and press the printer... button, then select two-sided in the Layout menu option and press OK.

You don't see any difference when printing then?

  • HP OfficeJet X451dw - no printing double-sided on A5 paper

    Hello

I recently received this printer for Christmas. The printer works fine and fast perfectfully! But the only problem I have with this is that it would not print duplex (double-sided printing) on A5 paper, but with A4 - it works fine.

Also, the printer is network related and there is software of administration Console installed on the server that allows the administrator to change the settings of the printer, checking the ink cartridge and etc...

    Much help would be appreacted!

    Thank you very much

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

Which should, A5 is not supported for automatic duplex printing.

You can find any paper sizes supported on page 59 of the guide user below:

    http://h20628.www2.HP.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c03640111-4.PDF

As you can see in the graph, A5 is not supported for automatic duplex printing

  • HP Envy 4500: Double-sided printing

I've had my printer for about two months now, and at the beginning I had no problem with printing. I was thrilled that the printer has the ability to duplex printing to save paper, but all of a sudden my printer is more two-sided printing even if the "meetings" are checked in the print menu that appears before printing. I would go to the bottom of this, because I prefer to take advantage of the features of the printer and save paper. Please let me know what I am doing wrong and advice to solve this problem, thank you!

Collected has nothing to do with the double-sided, this means that when you print 3 copies of a document that is five pages long, it will print pages 1 to 5 three times instead of print page 1 three times and then page 2 three times and so on. Double-sided printing can be enacted in one of two ways. Either you select double-sided as an option when you go to print a print job, or you set the driver to duplex by default values. According to the printer model, you can also apply duplexing by telling the duplex printer all. It is model specific and you do not specify the pattern here, so I can't give you the exact details.
