Downgrade from Vista to XP for Satellite A210-16F PSAEL
Other users of laptops from Toshiba greetings
I come to you with what I noticed to be a fairly frequent problem for users of Satellite A2xx - downgrade from Windows Vista to XP.
I am owner of a 2 - day old of a Toshiba Satellite A210 - 16F PSAEL (AMD processor) and Vista Home Premium crashes on me during the installation of an application. So I searched the forum and found a full list of the XP drivers for the series equipped with AMD (my thanks for people who have set up their discoveries). I also found a guide to downgrade to XP, but it was the Intel-based and intended for users A200.
My question would be if there is such a guide out there for the A210 series, the AMD-based or could someone please indicate the steps to follow for the downgrade.
Thanks in advance
Interested, too, that's why push this thread a little, aka a friendly BUMP ;)
I A210-16F and I installed WInXP.
Where I can found new driver ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 on WinXP?
I downloaded from support and installed the display - 20071207143025.zip driver.
But sometimes the system hangs with an error on the ati2mtag.dll module...
And I can not find the new driver...
On the Toshiba European driver page, you can find the ATI display driver v8.413.3.
It was posted on 23/01/08 and it seems that there is a newer version which is available!
Unfortunately, other driver graphic versions don t it right now.
My Satellite A210-16F (PSAELE) * still works with 800 MHz instead of 1.9 GHz *-even though I select the profile of full power. I reinstall Windows, but it did not help :/ Core temp tells me only 50 C temperature.
If I try to run one last game it detect CPU at 800 MHz and output... His power profile not only hurt I think...
I can perhaps try to load the latest BIOS and refresh it?
* Does anyone know where I can download latest BIOS for Satellite A210 - 16F PSAELE? * I can't :( Former driver only, not ony BIOS update for my laps...
Check the settings of the processor first and see if you can change something there.
Dear friends I need help for the downgrade from vista to Xp sp2. My PC is Satellite A200 - 1N1 (PSAE3E)
Thank you very much
So, what problem do you have? I mean without knowing what problem you have, nobody can help you? Where is the problem?
Can someone point me to the page drivers WXP for my laptop (AMD x 2 TL-58, 2 GB RAM, ATI HD2600, 160 GB)?
Well, as most of the users I want to improve (sorry fans of Vista, but I can't use the downgrade of Word because new BONE from the guys in Redmond s...s) for Win XP.
I am not able to find the drivers of Windows XP Home edition on the Toshiba site (except 2).
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Hello, Toshiba driver developers. We need more drivers Win XP. Please help us!
Please use the advanced search on this forum and you will find some very interesting discussions about the drivers of Windows XP Home for Satellite A210. You are right. At the time current Toshiba offers no drivers of Windows XP Home edition.
Please start with this one
long in vain looking for the original BIOS for my satellite A210-1AO PSAELE-03Q00FRU (Vista32bit preinstalled).
Unfortunately I've updated and laptop lost the ability to disable.
VERY noisy DWD - ROM (TS-L632H) through the BIOS (but it worked without a doubt with the original BIOS)
It is also impossible to turn it off through the Device Manager (tried several times).
I looked for BIOS anywhere where I could (Yes, I tried to download & support from Toshiba for Europe, USA, Canada, China, Russia - no. satellite A210 PSAELE BIOS in lists, even for the A200 PSAELE).
Written in support of the Russia of Toshiba - no result. the point is that I don't know bios original version for my model, so I tried BIOS version 1.1, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.3 - no result.
The latest idea is to physically remove the DVD-ROM, but it is the solution.
So where can I find that BIOS? or you recoomend a truly customer friendly toshiba can support office?
Thanks in advance!

People, please help with suggestions?
Satellite A210 - 16G (PSAELE) belongs to the European models because it s listed on the page of Toshiba Europe. This means that the Australian page BIOS update will not work and it s listed for the other models (PSAFGU/PSAFHU). If this update is not done for your laptop.
On the European (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_bios.jsp) page, you can search for newer BIOS version:
Laptop > Satellite > Satellite a series > Satellite A210 > PSAELE
Check this box!

Hello, my friend
Looking for drivers all over the Internet. Sorry but there is nothing but waste your time. I believe that you do not find your model. The answer is very simple - you have a European model but you poke around on the Toshiba support site we.
For the drivers please visit support European page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads.
I have a client with a model of laptop Toshiba No. Satellite Pro P100-434.
He had a recurring problem, DVD playback that vibrates with the image and the sound is not always in line with the image. He referred twice to Toshiba and they told me that they had replaced the DVD drive. The fault was still there so he brought for me to watch.
I thought it is best to see if the Windows XP installation would cure the problem so installed an of my licenses. He tried for a few weeks and is now happy with our performance. Then I reinstalled Vista and checked for updated drivers. The problem is back as before.
Now, the customer wants to downgrade to Windows XP. I understand that it is possible, but have been unable to find out where I should apply for the XP product ID. My client feels terrible about the way it has so far been Treaty by Toshiba and who also believes he paid a Microsoft Windows license. He shouldn't have to pay for another. Any help would be appreciated.
I read your ad with a lot of attention and also hope that we can discus things.
At first, I must say that laptop must be Satellite P100-434 with PSPADE part number. If you want to check the DVD functionality test it with original recovery image. Achieve the clean OS install and test with the original DVD movie using pre-installed software. In my view, that it must be of WinDVD. Win DVD is used by Toshiba for a year, and this software works very well.
If there is a problem with the DVD drive, please clarify this with the authorized service partner. Please note: test the full functionality of DVD player.
Something about WXP: Toshiba supports Windows XP Home edition for this model of laptop and all the drivers, tools and utilities that you can find on Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads. Before you start to install anything whatsoever from this page to the first a download? Instructionsa facilities? document and install all the stuff following this order of installations. It is very important.
Now something about the COMPUTER products and treatment of Toshiba: with the new notebook, you purchase a license for the operating system preinstalled. This does not mean that you have? specific? key and can activate all that you want. The alternative operating system to pay for the license. Each copy has own product ID. And don't forget, your customer has misunderstood something.
Treatment of customer is very interesting topic, but one thing I can say for sure: a lot of people hear things that they do not want to accept and is for the most part, the grounds for claims on a? bad treatmenta?. It is very important to clarify everything and avoid all the problems.
I am a young professional and I need to use Windows XP to work because Vista is not altogether reliable. Unfortunately, I noticed that the drivers for the said OS are not yet published (with my disappointment) on the site Web of Toshiba.
Could you please give me some pointers on how to fix this? Or I'll just wait for the release of the said drivers from the main website (hoping it happens anytime soon)?

I have a laptop Toshiba L40 (for only 2 months) and yesterday, I make a recovery, and I still think that you problem could be. I just disconnected after surfing and after restart I have to do a recovery... but good.
To make a long story short... I want to just downgrade to XP and my question is what I should do... must a first up/downgrade my bios for XP? When I putt my copy of XP now and when I want to install it does not screen the contract (F8) user, instead, I get a blue screen saying windows stops. Might be another problem is that I have to install for XP sata drivers but I don't have a disk drive... How can I do this?
Before you wait here for a response or assistance please check other discussions regarding the installation of Windows XP Home on Satellite L40 or same Equium L40. Windows XP Home edition on laptops preinstalled Vista installation is her number topic 1 in the last 6 months and you will find many threads with the same question.
If you still need help, please write again.
I want to downgrade to XP. I have a Satellite Pro A120 PSAC1E. How should I proceed? TIA.
First of all see if all drivers are available for this machine.
You can check this link:
Then download the drivers and burn them to a CD/DVD. Back up your data on a DVD or external HARD drive.
After you have done all these things, just put the CD in your drive and install XP and then install all the drivers and you'll be lucky.
Please ask, if you have any questions...
Please please help
I changed my XP operating system. Just because the software I want to use only works on Xp
I have problems with drivers
I can't get the ATI X 1200 graphics card to work
and I can't the earthnet drivers to install, so I can't connect to internet...
Can someone give me a step by step help please please please.
Equium A210-1AS belongs to the PSAFJE series, and that's why you should choose this form of driver download serial number.
I did, and surprise, surprise. The XP drivers are not available at this time for this unit.
However, laptops should support the Realek LAN chip and so you can also download the Realtek site.
Several different sets of Toshiba laptops are equipped with the same graphic card. Check another series which have been delivered with the same graphic card as your laptop and download it on the Toshiba page.
Hello world. I have a HP G60 120EM NotebookPC with Windows Vista Edition home premium of the edition installed. I am very happy with Vista, and I want to install Windows XP instead. Only that, when I insert the installation disc, after reading the files for installation, the computer stops and gives me a blue screen telling me that an error has stopped the installation program. What can I do? Is it possible to install XP on this computer?
Just bought HP G60-100EM 2 days ago. Is Vista really slow. Sucsessfully installed Windows XP 64 bit + 2 GB more Ram (4 altogether now)
Its very fast now. the only problem that I had to dig all the drivers in the internet, but they are there...
