Downgrade to OS 5 blackBerry smartphones

I need to run a BlackBerry in OS5, how to downgrade?

Ideally, I would like to do it on a Bold9700. I wonder if I do a factory reset, OS5 will be there?

I have also a Bold9790 OS7 running I could use.

It's good if you already have a device that supports OS 5, concerning the decommissioning of the OS, you can try these simple steps:

1. Locate and download the OS you want to leave here, BlackBerry software download Site

  • (Make sure you download for the same model you have)

2. double-click on the file downloaded to install it on your PC

3. download and install the latest version of BlackBerry desktop by BlackBerry desktop software software

  • Then using software office perform your full backup of your device.

4. search for your C: drive for any file Vendor.xml and delete them, there may be one or two vendor.xml (on your PC, change your records option to show hidden files / folders):

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
  • C:\Users\Windows UserName\AppData\Roaming\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

5. go into C:\Program Files Research In Motion\AppLoader. (For Vista or Windows 7 64-bit, the path will be C: > Program Files x 86 > common files > Research In Motion > AppLoader) double-click on Loader.exe.

Downgarde will continue then after Installation of the new OS restore your backup using BlackBerry desktop

Software.

As you have already downloaded the OS pack then you can skip steps # 1 and continue with the rest. But please note don't install multiple OS pack on your PC, if you have any other pack OS install in another PC so you use then uninstall it.

    Here's the situation: the battery ran out on my unit earlier this week. When I started to charge, the unit will start automatically restart. Before restarting, the messages "error app 603' and 'reset' appeared. If I click "reset", the whole process starts again.

    Hi guys. so I've updated my software on my bb curve 8520... Well the bb desktop software had asked me to do the experience works best with my phone. but it turns out to be the opposite. I can not call more I get this message when I try to call someone "can't call the current call" or if I managed to call I can't hang up unless the caller hangs up. my memory card is not working, or more, music and videos say 'impossible to read the content' but I can see all my photos.   • BlackBerry Smartphones active new SIM - now phone SOS only

    Hi all. Have a little problem. I had to go back to an old 9700 When my current iPhone broke. I needed a new card SIM from the iPhone using a different card. When I called Rogers to activate the SIM everything was fine for about a minute. I received texts that were pending since Sunday when my iPhone broke.     First this... avoid this tech Rogers like the plague. He has no idea what he's talking about. All what he told you is simply not possible. Once MEP unlocked, a BB device can blocked at the factory. Nothing of what you have done or the facilities of any OS can relock a BB.

    I'd rather a complete security on the Device Wipe:

    Otherwise, a ResetToFactory WIPE:
