  I have an idea. I saw a similar problem, where something in the network settings for DNS gets screwed up. As a workaround, that's what I did:
  For the network card I use, instead of using DHCP, a DNS server to use force. I used google's servers because I remember the addresses - 4.4.4.4 and 4.4.8.8. Run the system update. If this solves the problem, or if not, after having done it once, you can change it to use DHCP.

  If you have Windows XP on your computer please run the checkdisk utility to check the bad sectors on the hard disk. The chkdsk utility is the same in XP it is 7. If the Player cannot be set by chkdsk, it is unlikely that the installation program will still work. There are some utilities available for download from the author of most of the readers on their Web sites. One of the diagnostic utilities running it probably is your next best step.

  Turns out that the Windows event log service had been previously disabled (it conflicted with another program running).  Once activated, I was able to install the flight without problem.  Thank you for your help.

  • Wireless network connections
  • Applications on the Windows Store will be kept.
  • Mobile broadband connections
  • Parameters of BitLocker and BitLocker To Go
  • Drive letter assignments
  • Customizers like the lock screen background and desktop wallpaper
  • Choices you make during the Windows Welcome, such as the accounts of users and computer name, will not change.
  • Settings network, libraries, and Windows Update will not change.
  • Parameters of Customer Experience Improvement Program will not change.
  • Error report settings Windows will not change.
  • Some drivers may or may not be deleted.

  • File type associations
  • Display settings
  • User settings
  • The Windows Firewall settings
  • Application settings
